This one was filmed in Taiwan, about the same time they were touring there, from my understanding.

Daydreaming, About Us, Anemone, Endless Story, Memorable, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile -- an unbelievable range of mid-tempo songs from the greatest hard rock band on the planet - Band-Maid. "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wonder if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? Oh well, I'll stop daydreaming now. Thx Maddy, for another great Band-Maid reaction!

Before you were born, rock bands started occasionally release a ballad to show their fans something unique. Still hard rock, just slower tempo and the singer growling about love, usually.
However, rarely would I ever hear something this completely different from what I expected.
And the Maids do this a lot. A lot, a lot!
They have even more songs that feature dynamics and sounds that are wildly different from each other, but somehow they always sound like Band Maid? How?
This is the same band that did “Influencer” and “Warning!”
I’m confident you’ll love both “Puzzle” and “Wonderland,” official live performances for both. Big, beautiful songs, soaring vocals. Pretty sure they’d both nail it on the head for you 😊
However, when you’re in a mood for something progressive and metal? “From Now On,” official music video. The instrumental that convinced this old cat that the Maids were taking no prisoners on their way to world domination.

I always call Daydreaming their rainy day ballad because that's the vibe I get from the beginning of the song, though it fees inspiring by the end. That said, if you enjoyed this ballad, perhaps your next song should be Endless Story. It's a summer ballad and one of my favorites. It's a well deserved regular since they resumed touring last year and well deserved in my book.
That said, you can never go wrong with Band-Maid.

This is a perfectly fine song about someone missing their lover, until Kanami opens up. How can you express your pent-up emotions any more clearly?

Every time I hear Miku (red rose ) with her backing it just makes the whole song for me. Emotional and moving. Talking of protecting the Women from cars and mosquitos. Miku is know to be accident prone and in the past has had bruises and cuts from the most innocent of freak incidents.

Maddy, I have another suggestion for listening to a Band Maid song. Miku Kobato, the band's rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist, writes most of the songs lyrics. She always has a positive message in her songs. I suggest you react to "Page". It is the perfect pick-me-up song if you are somehow down or in a sad mood. Before you review the video, look up the lyrics in English. The band did an acoustic online okuji (concert) in December of 2022. The Maid's garb is different, the setting is different, and the acoustic version of the song definitely shows the bands versatility. By the way there are several videos of their performances from that acoustic online okuji on TH-cam.
Singer Saiki asked Kanami to write a ballad for her and this was the result. Kanami has frequently stated her love for Saiki so who knows what emotions were at play here. Either way it is a masterpiece and beautifully performed with a truly brilliant solo from Kanami.

Since you liked this one, I'd recommend Awkward (the live Studio Coast 2017 performance has the best audio for BM songs), Anemone, Matchless Gum, Yolo, Page, Mirage, About Us (song written to express their appreciation of fan support during the pandemic), among many others (too many truly great songs by this band to list lol).

It's in a show: a Band-Maid Okyu-ji! They created "Daydereaming" because Saiki wanted a 'Ballady' song as change up during their 'Servings'. And it is a climactic piece.
Kanami, Miku, and the gang used everything in their toolboxes when they wrote this one. This is another of Miku's 'internal conversation' lyrics where a woman is confronting her feelings concerning the man that is leaving her (for whatever reason). There is an Id, Ego, Superego battle going on that is accentuated by Miku and Saiki trading the lead vocal back and forth. Miku purposely sounds childlike, while Saiki maintains an adult façade that eventually crumbles. Kanami's solo is still one of the most blistering performance I've seen. Every note is orchestrated to communicate the heartbreak.

The video is first 1/3 Demonslayer inspired, middle is them in the flesh, and last part is SM inspired. FYI, their label has a large amine/animation division, so....synergies!
