I bought the same set up. Saw a couple other videos saying the kenwood 2 pin isn’t very durable. I got a upgraded boafeng waterproof radio with a multi pin, disco 32 has the multi pin PTT

IMO Otto offers the best helmet mounting solution, takes the best parts of Peltors and Ops-Core and you can still easily switch back to a headset configuration

Sample size of 3: I have an older gen non tac works perfect.
older gen non tac speaker wines at max volume but one click down and it works perfect.
New gen (extra slim) works perfect but not as comfortable as the older gen.

I love mine. I run them on a team Wendy exfil ballistic. They are super comfortable, work great with my 152, and offer better sound reduction than any other set, including AMPS. I ended up buying a second pair, of the non-radio version, just for the range.

Do you have a real 152? Or is it a fake one? If it’s a real one, where did you get it so I can also pick one up?

    👍👍 on the review.
As for those saying it is pricy, if it is for you, there are other brands that work just as well. I own a knock off, and it is very comparable to what we used when I was Active Duty Army.
Just an FYI for any one else out there looking for these options.

Love mine. Have them with the helmet mounts. Sound is great with very good 360° localization. One of the rubber battery covers is a bit wonky on mine, but I solved it with a little tape. Would buy another set.

I prefer the tacs over comtacs and sordins.. FYI the noizefighter gelcups fit perfectly on there without a adapter best earpro I have used so far

Great video Ivan, love the content as always. Keep it up. Question for you is the range only version the same as the TAC model just without the comms feature? I assume yes but just curious.

Very good stuff, if its in your budget. I have several Baofeng radios and others, for Ham Radio use. There are several that are better made, and waterproof! Which may serve that snowy, alpine weather conditions, better.

So how do they compare to the 'standard' sordins as far as use/effective&cost? Under helmets(highcut & ach)?

Does the headband separate by pulling out the metal prongs from the earpro? Like peltors?

I just watched another very recent review last night that said these squeeze the head pretty tightly. No issues with the pressure level of the headband?

Just got the newest model of the TAC and had three issues.
    1. When adjusting volume, once you reach max volume it gets stuck, and lowering volume doesn't have an effect.
    2. When turning the headset off, it won't turn back on unless you physically break the circuit by popping one of the batteries out and back in.
    3. I get the low-battery-warning triple beep every two minutes immediately with any new AAA batteries (included OEM alkaline, alkaline Duracell, and lithium Energizer).
Still waiting to hear back from customer service. Sound quality and function is otherwise exceptional.

Does the headband separate from the earpro by pulling out the metal prongs? Like peltors? Want to helmet mount it.
Also, did CS take care of you and would you still recommend them?

@@josiahb55 My headset is at OTTO’s QA department now. There’s a plastic ball-and-socket that connects the headset to the headband or a helmet adapter. Don’t rip the metal ears out of the plastic sleeves like you would with some other headsets.

Thanks for the information. So weird, I saw to videos showing people doing that and using other rail adapter kits. I guess it's not advised though

@@josiahb55 There may aftermarket kits to retrofit them to other mounting interfaces but if you search for Noizebarrier Helmet Mount Kit you'll see how the headset interfaces with the headband and helmet mounts.

My Opinion; get a ham radio license.
    Study and learn.
No, you don't need it when it hits the fan but it will get you involved with people that will help you learn that bAof3nGs kinda suck and there are better options out there.
Don't make the mistake of thinking you'll plug your $670 ear pro into a $29 radio and you've got yer shit together.
