These videos are incredibly informative and helpful. Have helped me be a little less fearful. One question re: circulation: I have a riser that makes the head of my bed 7" higher than the foot, to help with acid reflux. Is it possible that sleeping in this way causes more fluid to pool in my legs and feet than normal?
It won't make a big difference - it is more important that your reflux is well-controlled at night. What you do with your feet in the day is more important e.g. wearing the correct shoes and doing the correct activities. I'm tall and my legs hang off the edge of the recliner but my calf is supported on the edge of the footrest, however my feet point downward. Can this position cause Achilles pain & stiffness?
If it is already injured, the tendon may feel more stiff (than if your feet weren't as pointed) if you move out of that position because it is kept in a shortened position. But it will likely feel stiff in any case if you sit still for long enough with an injured tendon. So it is not the position that is the issue but rather the underlying injury.

Does adding a heating pad or heated compression wrap aid in the healing process? Also are compression sleeves good for the healing process?

It is…. Hurts when I get up in the morning
I think you need to get it scanned - it sounds like you've torn something
