    Ollie in the wild at this time of year bullfinch eat a lot of fruit tree flower buds, worth trying some stone fruit and apple buds with them I reckon

    When your canaries are laying do you have to swap the eggs out for the fake eggs? So they all hatch at the same time?

    So I have some concerns my canary pair are a few days away from hatching their first egg, but I've noticed the hen is chasing the cock bird around the cage. Should I keep them together or remove the cock bird?

    When I was breeding the greenies especially the pied greenies I gave them planty off dandelion heads which is in abundance now and it brought the male greenfinch into condition quicker,, it never fails,,, sure that's what the natives are feeding on now in the wild including, linnets, goldfinches, siskins etc 👍

    • @benmccann7385
      @benmccann7385 ปีที่แล้ว

      How do you give them the dandelion heads? Do you break them up or give them to them whole?

    • @davidblack3396
      @davidblack3396 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I bring a small container while out walking in the fields and just pluck the dandelion heads that have the seeds in them (not the yellow flower) and when I have enough I have a scissors with me and cut the white fluff top of before they open and disperse in the wind,, it may take a while but it's will worth it save all them jinny Joe's flying around your bird room 👍
