    This is so good. I always thought you had to strip down the frame to bare before you put on a new paint. Really cool outcome, it turned out very well.

    This looks fantastic. Giant should just hire you to design their paint schemes, because they clearly don't have any idea what's going on.

      The best clear coat and the best primer in the market ! But is better to sand the frame down with 400 and after 600 sandpaper and remove the old color ,then apply primer ,let it dry 2 days and then apply your paint ,let it dry one-day ,finally apply clear coat

    This is really pretty. Can you explain more about that final blue coat ? I want to do something similar to my black frame but not to this extent. Like halfway between black and this beautiful blue you added. I’m doing your splatter idea with purple on a matte black frame. I like how this blue wakes everything up.

    I'm thinking of doing this on guitar, but I'm afraid of uneven surfaces from the splatter paint. Is that a problem? Should I add lots of clear coat? or should I sand the splatter paint down. FYI I'm using acrylic paint. Thank you in advance and great video.

    • @LockedinCycling
      @LockedinCycling  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Xhevit Xhindoli so with acrylic I’m assuming it’ll have a lot of build up, I used water based paint for the splatter do it layed down well. I would do splatter and a lot of clear, I’d u have raised sections still, then sand it down and re clear so ur not directly sanding the splatter

      @@LockedinCycling Thank you so much for the reply. The acrylic paint I have says it's water based. I don't know if that makes a difference but I think I understand how I would go about this.

    • @LockedinCycling

      As mentioned I have full video on stripping it down fully, scuffing it up with grey sanding pad works if the surface is in good shape and will help primer bind. If you have chips or anything else you’ll see it not fully sanding or feathering that area .
