That sounds rude, but basically they add powders to a liquid to make the pearl, that's exactly what they're doing here, this channel has about 100 videos showing the process, what I was suggesting was they do what they did here, with their modern pigments.

Next time you should get a makeup artist to come an use brushes to accent specific angles of the car and see what they can come up with using those crazy pigments
How about setting up a large fan in front of the car and dumping the pearl powders in to the airflow to get a less 'streaked' finish? I'd love to give that a go!

I personaly dont like it because of many different colors you used. But can imagine it would look sick if you'd go with just blue-ish scheme. Different shades of blue, purple maybe white would make it look like one of those space photos.

I thought the same! But the effect seems stronger, to me anyway, at the micro level vs. macro. The macro loses a little something but the zooms are breathtaking. Northern Lights esque, even.
This would have looked good with a design, something which actually had an artistic goal. Making conscious choices with the palette, and having a directional sense to the work would make this a potentially good technique!!

When you do the complete paint job, and you paint a hood, by the time you get to paint the trunk and all door black base gets dry, how the pain can absorb the powder when the pain is dry?
That is slick looking for sure. I nearly turned it off at first but I was like well lets see what the clear coat does for it. I think the clear coat makes this a beautiful paint job. Id love to see all of the pearls thrown in the same direction as if you drove thru a wall of them though. Beautiful work though guys.

I'm surprised at how well it looks like the powder stayed dry. It looks like fresh dry pigment thrown onto it! Impressive. I hate colors, but this is impressive.
Pretty cool, kinda makes me want to make a space themed job using same method but maybe changing the way its thrown to maybe make it look more like nebula clouds.
