Nice video! Your clear instructions and detailed review made the installation process seem so much more approachable. Loved the hands-on approach and insights. Keep up the great work!
That’s where I was struggling too. My yard has some tall trees and this was the second best spot, the best spot would have been about 300 feet away from my house and I didn’t want to pay the cabling bill for that far lol
I have two of the dual axis trackers. Do you know if that updated controller will be available separately? I like how the display has a description of what’s going on vs mine which just as a timer and two letter codes.
@@aflipzkidn haven't heard anything on an updated display for the dual axis version, but I haven't looked into it at all either honestly. Thing controller wouldn't direct swap as their isn't a second input for another actuator.
@@stangchad believe we had some 40mph gusts within the last month or so. So far it's holding up. But only having 1 panel on it doesn't give me the full strength test so keep that in mind.
how easy is it to change the angle due to change in season? I guess you haven't had it long enough to go through that but based on setup how do you think it will go? The dual axis is very cool but a bit out of my price range since the sun is only really full strength for about 6 hours on my property.
@@TheFutureisTheFuture to be fair I only have 1 panel mounted currently, so with a full set of panels I’m sure the difficulty would increase. Always good to have a buddy on standby haha
I tried spinning it a bit and the actuator seemed very sturdy. No promises that would work, but in my experience it held under my decent amount of force.
they can build a low profile lay flat almost on the ground model. but the larger equipment to raise it would make it cost too much. they think you will just keep buying this model everything wind destroys itself.
Nobody use this kind of batteries now a days. Everyone is using the echoflow type of solar generator. It is just way better to connect the sensor and curator with a solar generator. Ecoworthy needs to update their setup. It should be easy.
*Due to the extreme price drops in the solar sector, it is much cheaper to simply install more modules instead of a tracker!* Trackers also have outdoor mechanics & electronics and are therefore maintenance-intensive and prone to repair. Solar modules and racks, on the other hand, generally function maintenance-free for 25 to 30 years!

Nice video, greetings from Jamaica.
@@lawrencedavidson6195 thanks for the comment! Glad to see you here
Oooooh. I’m going to have to snag one of these. Super slick
Just bought one this makes me want to go set it up!!! I have been looking for the best location void of trees kinda hard in the country

@@rnkustomz cool thanks for letting me know.
Thanks
What is the tilt angle of the axis? I mean the angle between the axis and the horizontal ground.
How thick is the concrete?
This concrete is 4 inches approximately. It’s an older pour on the property.
@rnkustomz thanks for letting me know I'm thinking of ordering one and wanted to know how thick to make the concrete
@@The831Z I’d go a bit deeper than 4 personally, especially if you are in a cold climate.
@rnkustomz California. I get no real cold weather but thanks ill go deeper. It better to go deeper just in case. Thanks
May I know what is the biggest size and weight will it hold?
Have you had any wind since this was uploaded? How did it go?

How stiff is that linear actuator? Could you buy it is a fixed mount basically and never run the tracking?
I tried spinning it a bit and the actuator seemed very sturdy. No promises that would work, but in my experience it held under my decent amount of force.
How long does the installation take?
If I remember correctly it was less than 2 hours for us
Updates?
@@KODIAKJAYMZ so far it’s still tracking for us, cloudy days it does struggle a bit but that’s to be expected

@@michaelvanallen6400 all situations are different, for someone with extremely limited space a tracker can be necessary. Thanks for the comment.
Will the tracker go fully east to west or only one way. I would like to see it go 180deg.
It tilts just as far east as it does west, my time lapse was started later in the day.
