    You are simply awesome! I enjoyed the manner in which you described your experience as a student in an Accelerated BSN program. It was straightforward, detailed, and comprehensive. Thanks for giving us an inside look on what to expect in a nutshell. Also, thank you so much for sharing some words of wisdom and encouragement! Wishing you continued success!

      @@xiaohongzhang6242 Hi, I want to apply for this programs, but I am not sure whether my gpa is high enough for acceptance. Could you tell me that 3.2 gpa is good enough for the accelerated nursing program? Thank you

    I applied to the MCPHS accelerated nursing program a few weeks ago so I'm waiting to hear back. Your video was very helpful - especially when you were talking about the NCLEX passing rate percentage. A lot of people believe that you need to go to a school with a higher than 90% NCLEX pass rate but this isn't true! College is what you make of it. PS I can tell that you are a great nurse!

    Did you know anybody that had a studio apartment off campus? Also was the snow a problem in Boston as far as school closings or clinicals? And how about parking in the area? Lol sorry for all the questions but I am trying to decide which school I want to commit to

    Great video! I just applied for an accelerated nursing program, my background is journalism soooooooo! Lol anyway, did you get federal aid for the whole program? I didn't want to have to take out private loans but I will if I have to. Also, I would have to definetly quit my full time job so I am scared about how I am going to survive.

      Hi Jamie! You'd be surprised, a lot of my peers came from different majors. There was even someone who had a background in art! Unfortunately I had to take out private loans to cover tuition. If you plan on commuting (or live in-state), that will save you a ton.
      It also depends on the individual when it comes to work load. A majority of the people in my cohort had part time jobs (CNA, EMT, Pharmtech, waitressing ect). If you can handle the work, balancing a part time job is possible. Let me know if you have any other questions! Best of luck.

    Thank you for the video! Do you have any advice about choosing btw an ABSN and MSN (nonAPRN) program? I'm trying to figure out if MSN is worth the $200K

    • @heymaryle
      @heymaryle  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      np! it really depends on what your long term goals are. If you want to be specialized in a specific area then I suggest going for the BSN-NP route, instead of MSN.

    Hi I am wondering about if you got scholarships and if so up to how much and how much you had to roughly take out in like private loans?

    • @heymaryle
      @heymaryle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many students are granted 1K per semester I believe. In terms on loans, it definitely varies among individuals. I suggest checking out the financial aid link on MCPHS website for more details!

    Hi Mary. Thank you for your testimony. I will be starting my journey at mcphs worcester this spring 2020. Do you have any advice for nclex? Also any tips on taking notes in classes? Any professors you felt was most helpful to you?

      @heymaryle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello! congrats on your acceptance. I wouldn't worry too much about the nclex yet. I didn't think about the nclex until my last semester. But I would suggest looking into UWORLD. I mainly used that to study! Everyone takes notes differently so stick with what works for you! For me, I had to write out all my notes. A majority of the professors I had during the program are no longer with MCPHS )=
