    To tell you the truth i'm not really sure on the new 2013 ninja but if you really want to and the tire does not fit you can use a thin spacer between the wheel and swingarm which will spread the swingarm wider to fit the tire. Just something to think about don't know if its much help

    I watched this vid like 18mnts ago when i had to ride a 250 for insurance reasons,,, i still paid $16000 CDN for the season but i stretched it 5inch put a 180 on her plus K&N rejetted 636 air shock Body kit Racetech springs and alot more,,, my point is alot of ppl dont know the diff!!! Now i gotta 2010 675,,,i let my buddy ride the Ninjette and he gets more compliments than me!!! Ppl offer to buy it at stoplights,,, girls whistlin,,, i live in TO Canada and most ppl just see an awesome sportbike,,, and with my 44 tooth rear it drifts in 2nd No Joke,,, with a bike thatll push 30hp MAX all U can do is make it look better... KeepSafe guyz

    To me i think it was worth it because when you use the stock rim with a larger tire the tire tends to bubble out which looks funny and you lose contact space but then it is a lot cheaper to put a 150 on the stock rim

    you dont need to upgrade the rim or anything if its a 4.5 inch rim. 160 is the max size a 4.5 inch rim will accomodate

    That's a nice upgrade I was wondering where did you get the extended swing arm kit

  • @XRunner2628

    isn't it easier to put on a swing arm with rim and brake from a bigger bike out of a junkyard?

    I'm not trying to bash you as I acknowledge it takes a lot of talent and skill to accomplish something like that. I'm sure it looks cool. But in my humble opinion you wasted a lot of time, money and resources to make a slow bike even slower. The bike's only worth about 2 grand more than your tire project cost on it. Plus, with a larger heavier wheel and tire your bike has to work much harder to turn it. The best thing you could have done was get a lighter rim that fits and you'd be faster. But I guess you're just going for looks. Mission accomplished.

      Cry About it whan you buy a 250 your intentions are not set on having a fast bike to begin with.. so the only thing your able to do is to make it look good and stand out.

    do you feel the mods were worth going with the 160 over the 150 that fits on stock?

    I made the copper bushings from a copper pipe that I cut to length but there is a sealed bearing that will fit.

  • @acastillo1284
    @acastillo1284  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes the caliper, axle and bearing are stock now there is two ways to go on the bearings u can put a copper bushing or find a bearing that will fit the 250 axle but be large enough to fit the 650 rim

    😂🤣 what for? To look/pretend to be a bigger bike? Why not bye a bigger bike and trade that slow bike? No offense but i don’t see the logic here! Ride safe bro!

    • @Zerocyxone9
      @Zerocyxone9 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why a smaller bike? Easy reasons:
      1. Maintenance cost on a 250 is friendlier than a bigger one. The plethora of spare parts from other small sportsbike fits the 250, damn cheap.
      2. Gasoline consumption is much cheaper.
      3. The speed is enough specially when you are in Asian countries where traffic is absurd.

    That ain't fair about what you said, you don't wanna give the dimension cus they gonna be the next person, why not give them anyway on the simple fact on the safety of it all, cus the right dimension will be 1 hundred%safer than a inaccurate one, think about other people's lives's when you do these videos people gonna follow your footsteps on your knowledge of this, if you gonna hold back on information that can probably prevent harm you shouldn't make these vids, cus you think someone' gonna run off with your knowledge, each one teach one, I give a hundred%what I know about something not half of it, just think if it was you, you would wanna know the dimension you'll be lying to yourself if not,

    I don't have a precision lathe so I have to take it to a machine shop to shave them off; the problem with that is without measurements if it needs more shaving I have to take it again and means more mula, green. Would you be able to provide the measurements? If not, any idea what I could use to shave them off?

      Yes!….. I had a ninja 250 and wanted to do the same upgrade but a well known shop did not recommend it.
      I only take my bikes to a reputable place.
      So what did I do?
      Got me R6 the next season.
      Just helping a person out to do the smart thing. Does it fit?…. Yes!…. But changes the ride of the bike and it’s not what’s it’s meant for!
      Ride safe my friend!
