Excellent choice, bro! I've a GTS300i ABS here in Taiwan. Except all the strong points that you've mentioned above...don't forget the roomy storage space.. ^_^ BTW, I'm 181cm (5'11). I've no trouble riding the scooter safely with the mirrors.

Continuing from our other chat I've since tried to have a look at the Benelli BN302/Keeway RKX300 as my friend also stocks Keeway however they are not allowed the franchise rights to sell Benellis. I'm just waiting for the UK Sym rep to bring one of these to the shop so I can have a test ride, if it's fast enough I'll be ordering one.
That BN302 looks nice too, but from what I've read, Benelli isn't yet what it should be. I think SYM has overall better quality. As of now the Joymax 300i should also have a start & stop system. Will be visiting the importer over here again next year. See what they got for me at that time. :)
Well they are Chinese although from the Keeways I've seen & sat on the build quality is very good. I don't know when Keeway acquired Benelli but it'll only be a good thing. What colour are you going to have? What's the song as well?
BenTV We don't have Keeway where I live, so I can't judge the quality, though most Chinese makes are less good than Japanese. But it's just how much money they want to spend into a project. Lot of good stuff also comes from China. I'm not buying the SYM, I'm just doing tests. :) The song can be found in the about field or at the end of the video.
Are you happy with the mirrors? Most owners claim that it's almost impossible to see behind and gives lots of blind spots, due to fixed mirrors to the body.
The suspension is fine on a smooth road but on country roads its awful. Had the seat remade ,changed the rear suspension and changed the Chinese tyres for Michelin . Softening suspension by degrees every time I ride it . I am getting there in the end

Did you check the speed with a GPS? Most scoots are 10 to 15% optimistic.
Not only scoots are optimistic, also cars, motorcycles and such. You can take off 10% for the GPS speed. This was not measured by GPS.
