I just left my corporate job and am ready for something new! I applied for Delta but didn’t make it through!! I hope I can be a flight attendant one day!! 🎉
@@Bbeemar - Do you have to be in uniform when deadheading, Marina? It appears, from watching other FAs that have YT channels, that you don't have to be in uniform when flying standby, as opposed to deadheading. What is your airline's policy? Cheers from GEG !
Yes and no! We have that freedom to not wear the uniform BUT as a reserve, they prefer us in uniform because they can convert our deadheads sometimes to work the flight or get tagged for flying once we land (even if we think we might have a chance to go home). As a line holder, I would say you have more freedom to wear normal clothes since they almost never get converted & don't get tagged but I see a mix of both that either stay in uniform or change clothes! Standby is usually on your own time so you can freely wear your choice of clothing but we have a dress code to follow even on Standby or if we non-rev on other airlines. 😊
@@Bbeemar - Excellent explanation, Marina, thank you for taking the time to share this bit of FA lore. It makes sense to be in uniform while deadheading for exactly the reason you stated - to be available if necessary. Congratulations, also, on passing probation - flying high now!! As always, Cheers from GEG!
