You have so much talent, but you have a real GIFT for teaching. You’re so thorough in explaining your process, and you never skip a step, making it easy for us to understand and be able to do it ourselves. Thank you so much for being willing to share all of your ‘tricks’ with us. A lot of people wouldn’t. You have a very giving heart. You are a TREASURE TROVE of knowledge! ❤
I want to thank you for allowing us to see when you change your mind, such as when you decided to cut your skirt shorter because you wanted the lace ruffle a little higher. I appreciate you showing us how you make decisions and changes as you go along working on your projects. I often begin with an idea, then add or change something. I thought that perhaps I did not plan well enough. But, you have shown me that, being able to add or subtract from my project is just part of the process and not a defect! Thank you! ❤️
Absolutely! It's all part of the process. When I sold my items, I had the voice in the back of my head saying, "never let them see you sweat." Well, now that I'm doing tutorials, the truth is out..I sweat sometimes lol! Thank you so much for your kind words, my friend.🤗💕💕💕
I am speechless. This is BEAUTIFUL. You are truly talented, You have an eye for art. Wearable art and I love it. I love everything about this outfit as every piece you make. And as always you look amazing. A 1000 times I am never disappointed. Love your channel my friend Tracy.💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
A genuine and unique tutorial, 'tmyers handmade' videos are packed with so much knowledge that no matter how skilled a sewer/crafter you are, it would be impossible to walk away at the end of one w/out having learned at least a trick...Lol... or five! The creator of 'tmyers handmade' videos (and short clips) is Tracy Myers, a wonderfully articulate artist and gifted teacher. I've been following Tracy on TH-cam for awhile now, but clearly remember my initial impression was that Tracy is someone who radiates creativity, and has likely been making art since she was old enough to hold a paint pallet or thread a sewing needle. After watching several of her videos, I pondered their paradoxical effect on me: on the one hand, Tracy's passion for one-of-a-kind design, fashion, and styling is extremely contagious, and her videos are an effervescent mixture of vivacious enthusiasm. But wait, "effervescent mixture of vivacious enthusiasm"...Lol...sounds a little hyper, or a bit exhausting though doesn't it? Well, hence lies the paradox I mentioned. When it comes to sharing her passion for creating, Tracy wears her heart on her sleeve as she lovingly reminds us during ea presentation that perfection is definitely Not the goal - but neither is simply copying Tracy verbatim. The underlying vibe is that "Fun"..."Joy"...and, "Creating" are not Just permissible in her videos, they're part of who we are as humans. Tracy inadvertently gives us permission to cultivated creativity - that (often neglected) part of ourselves...by gently taking the viewer's hand and leading us...back to ourselves.
I so love your tutorials, you are literally the only person I've found that give such clear and easy to follow instructions. This is my favourite make of yours so far - it's stunning!
Tracy this skirt is gorgeous, romantic, one of a kind…beautiful. Love the skirt, love your teaching style. Have some great ideas thanks to you. Fun! Fun! Fun! Many thanks.
Sometimes AI ain't so bad because it brought me to you this morning. I just got done recycling a lampshade my young cat used as a molar teething ring!!! So glad to find you. What struck me right away was your delightful no nonsense delivery and demeanor. Thanx so much, you are a pro!
This screams Stevie Nicks to me. What a gorgeous confection! ❤❤ Stevie would order it in at least three colors, I know she would ❤ That bottom lace ruffle with the fringe is to die for! And that pastel blue shade, wow….Makes me want to mist myself with Anais Anais perfume and run through a field of wildflowers covered in dew. Siiiigh….😊
Greetings from New Zealand. Beautiful skirt! Rather than cutting off and re-sewing the triangles section, you could always just add a tuck (or two) in the sheer skirt. That is what what we do in heirloom sewing when we want to shorten a skirt or sleeves. Love your videos, you do very creative work. And wonderful that you are willing to teach others. Adored the squirrel casually hopping across the path out the window, lol. Cheers.
Tracey: you are such an inspiration for me! I have begun to make messenger bags & purses because of your wonderful teaching techniques! I want to thank you for helping those of us who absolutely love what you do! ❤
These things "work out" for you because YOU are ANOINTED to do what you're doing. You are using gifts God gave you to bless others. You are a blessed and rewarded servant and you are THE BEST example of how incredible God can work through His faithful and grateful servants! 🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏼🙌🏿🙌🏻 You're a blessing Pamela Mettler Texas 🤠
I love this skirt! This will go to my Traci Inspired Project List! Just this week I was gifted lotsssss of Laced curtains & doilies from a neighbor that moved out of state! I’m now busy sorting and washing them so I can start my projects. I will definitely share it here one day and mention my amazing Teacher Traci! 🤗💖💖💖
tracy you are the eighth wonder of the world! I’m working on an entirely different and completely unrelated project but decided to watch this while having a snack and learned so much just from your thought processes! Things always make more sense when other people do them, and with you it’s the same- I find myself saying, “why didn’t I think of that?” I’ve upcycled a few things before, but never as smart as you did here
Amazing! I love the skirt and your style, and so admire how you show the entire process, even the parts where you decide to redo things. So much more helpful than videos that cut out the places where creativity happens. Thank you!!
Our Dear Ms. Myers: Wonderful!! Thank you so much for showing us the post-dryer/trim/clean-up portion of the process, and especially for the extended and closer up after-shots. What a great channel you have! 😊
You opened up a whole new world of possibilities - I LOVE your work, your talent, your tutorial and your generosity in sharing. Blessings and love from Canada
WOWSERS how cool is this skirt. Love it 💕 As a crafter I barely throw anything away as I can always repurpose . You just added a whole new level of ideas. Thank you 😍
Again, another demonstration of your unmatched talent for being artistic and a fantastic teacher ...and your extremely beautiful spirit. Your fiancé must be a very special guy and he is lucky to have such a dynamic person in his life! The best to both of you (also, I love ❤❤❤ your ring).
Totally , absolutely amazing. You are a gifted, generous, lovely and beautiful lady. Thank you for taking my mind off all the troubles, near and far and take me to a beautiful world of happy creation.🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ May you be happy 😍
Wonderful creation, Traci! ❤️ You know before watching your channel, I saw clothes like this on eBay and was amazed by the prices! Now I understand all the work that goes in.
Just beautiful! I used to have all kinds of stuff, like you, but eventually had to unload it. I couldn’t keep hoarding it! Now I crochet…and hoard yarn! Haha
Stunning! I wonder if, one of these days, you will do something similar for plus-sized ladies (like me). I feel it's harder for this type of garment to look good on bigger bodies so I'd love some coaching on how to achieve that.
Wow! Impressive! You are truly gifted. Thank you for sharing your talent. It’s really amazing watching how you think out your design…just when I thought you couldn’t get it anymore beautiful you did! Bravo!
I wish you live closer to go have coffee and talk about new ideas and projects, materials or go vinatge shopping. You super sweet and kind the friend we all want to have. ❤❤❤❤
What a breathtakingly beautiful skirt! I am in awe at how creative you are. Bravo! I couldn't stop watching the process and my mouth was open the whole time at how you added another layer of different patterns, textures and assorted fabrics .. bringing it all together in a splendid creation. 💖😊❤😊❤💖
I bought a similar skirt - although not as ornate - from Garnet Hill. I love it but wanted to make one. My head nearly exploded trying to figure out how to do it. I gave up. I couldn’t believe my luck running into your tutorial! I cannot wait to do this. The skirt is exquisite. You also explain every step & left nothing out which I so appreciate. No wonder these are so expensive!! You are a very good and creative seamstress! I am considering using some liquid seam binding, depending upon the fabric and how it takes, to possibly save some sewing time. We’ll see. Thank you for sharing this!! ❤️🇺🇸
Traci, this is one gorgeous skirt. I have recently been working on using thrifted clothes to make my youngest granddaughters clothes that are cost effective for me to do for them as gifts, as my husband and myself are missionaries, in our 70's and on a very limited budget. Thank you for giving me more wonderful ideas. I have subscribed and look forward to watching your past and upcoming videos. I am so glad I found you. God bless.
Super cute. I have a friend who got married in a dress that was made from vintage lace table cloths. Very Boho but it was beautiful and totally fit her long blonde wavy hair and her beautiful smile. ❤ I’m a self taught sewer and I like how you sew like me. But way better. Love your channel glad I found you. Looking forward to more awesome videos. Thank you ❤

So love the layered skirt and your creativity, so inspiring. I will be trawling the 2nd hand stores and such for material to achieve the same :). Shabby chic, boho? Whatever, it looks soo cool. Thanks for sharing.

Recién me encontré con el canal y ver a alguien, como yó, que adora hacer este tipo de creaciones me hace sentir feliz 😊😊
Saludos desde Argentina, te veré en el próximo encuentro 😊😊

So love the layered skirt and your creativity, so inspiring. I will be trawling the 2nd hand stores and such for material to achieve the same :). Shabby chic, boho? Whatever, it looks soo cool. Thanks for sharing.
