He has one massive Channel Mount Heroic turn, but it's not enough to avoid fatigue. R2 Iyslander W -- We trade tempo for a while with big swings back and forth. We're both around 20 life when he has only 1 Frost Hex and 1 Ice Eternal left in deck; I hard pivot to fatigue and AB my way through the rest of his cards. R3 Katsu W -- My disruption and d-reacts are insane for most of the early game, and I win with around 20 life left. R4 Lexi W (on stream) -- He doesn't have any massive RR + 3oak turns, so I win by attrition. R11 Lexi W -- Unlike the previous Lexi, he has one big combo turn to push through a lot of damage. However, he misses a Premeditate hit trigger, an Infecting Shot hit trigger, and a key Lightning Surge line in the late game, and I win with a few life remaining. R12 Michael Feng on Oldhim L -- We trade too evenly on life for most of the game, then in the very late game he Tears Asunder while I don't have the d-react to cover. I also generate no Silver, so I can't LDE with 1 card left in deck. R13 Maximilian Klein on Lexi DQ -- I sit down, then a judge comes over to pull me aside. One question I have is why no infiltrate in the deck? I think the deck is great and I feel that infiltrate is a guaranteed card by itself and has stealth so every time it is played it presents the opponent with lose 2 cards with potential blow outs if i block
Just want to clarify, it's not precise *tournament policy* to always DQ on 50/50s, as it will always be up to the HJ to make the final decision. But generally, it is important for judges to err towards preserving tournament integrity than any one player's run.
I hate that you were DQ'd when the PPG does not outline anywhere how the mistake you made was elevated to a DQ. Not only that, but there was nothing whatsoever done about your opponent failing to shuffle their deck to Gore Belching (which DEFINITELY gained a numerical adv for them since they knew their remaining cards). Total bullshit.
Great video, thanks for sharing the deck's details! Regardless of being DQ'd or not, I think it's ridiculous to label the DQ due to "cheating". This was literally at the very end of Day 1 after Taotao had been on for 4 of the only 7 matches of the Pro Tour streamed that day and he had just made the critical error with the blind Azalea into a Scout the Periphery. Also, why would he write and share on stream a comedic note about his pitch stacking right after he put the card on top? Would a cheater want to draw further attention to their pitch stack right after doing that? C'mon.
I have a qrsution taotao said that tomeltai cloud blow up lantern, but latern dose not have defance value and thuse is not a legal target for the abilltii?
Tomeltai can target any equipment and Lantern is a generic equipment - offhand so it is a valid target. However Lantern has no defense value, so it never reaches 0 and is not blown up. Tomeltai canno't get rid of the lantern But if you play only one dagger your dragon clearing isn't efficient enough to get there.
So assuming you satisfy the condition of no attack actions in grave, it does indeed have it's hit effect. (The dominate won't matter most times since you're switching it in). The effect doesn't specify on attack or when you play so it should work afaik. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
He put the card in his pitch on the top of his deck and drew it at the end of turn. It is a very illegal action and hard to not be taken as a cheating attempt. Even tho it might be unintentionnal, such infractions have to be met with a consistent penalty regardless of what you think it was intentionnal or not as it is very hard to tell. And so a DQ was issued as a PT runs under the professionnal rules enforcement wich are very strict.
