I love that Josh has found FaB and is realizing all the things I did when I was a new player nearly 3 years ago now. I.e. the "oh... They designed the game so all the games feel close. Nothing has felt like a blow out yet."
Small rules nitpick, the nerve scalpel needs to be flicked in response to the dreact, not later. Stoked to see Josh playing fab, he and Jimmy introduced me to edh through game knights which is what really got me into tcgs

An honest misplay. It's funny, I was so impressed that Josh knew to close the chain so Flic Knives was online, but then he let a dr resolve on the same turn :P

Oh man I feel so spoiled whenever you guys upload! Face cams looking sharper and man that audio was super clean this episode, how do you keep improving when you already rock???
The atmosphere this episode was so playful and all the laughter made it feel like I was sitting around with friends enjoying the game together. The cuts to play insights were fabulous, they're always so valuable, interesting, or darn funny. Your videos always make me feel like I'm watching a story unfold.

28:30, technically, Josh should react in response to the defense reaction with flick knives, the nerve scalpel effect only can reduce defense if the reaction card has not resolved yet and become a defending card. Given that this is a very casual environment, it doesn't really matter.
It's so cool to see both Josh and Jacob playing this game! Due to recent decisions from WOTC, I've been debating on leaving Magic the Gathering for Flesh and Blood and I'm so excited to see a similar outlet! 👍👍

Just a brief comment, flick knives reads " combait chain link", so there's no reason to close the chain in order for the knives to work.

30:38 you actually don’t have to close the combat chain to be able to activate flick knives. Flick says as long as it isn’t on the current link!

You guys seem cool, and so does flesh and blood, but I'm timid about getting into it. Any tips on how to get started? I've been playing and collecting magic for a while, but I really don't like where the game is going, so I'm exploring getting into something new
Check out some of the resources in the description! TCC has a series on FAB, and RZR has a video called “new player guide”. The game is incredible and I hope you give it a shot! I had a similar journey :)
Question (have not yet played FAB game so perhaps stupid one) at 30:43 Katsu blocks for 3 but Uzuri has Spider bite effect played, should it only block for 2?
He blocked with a non attack card.
