DUETS - SERIES Harry Secombe joins Val Doonican on The Val Doonican Music Show in 1983. Harry and Val sing some hits that have been specially requested by individuals in the British armed services.
I so loved Val Doonican and Harry Secombe singing together ❤️ RlP forever to the both of them they are both are angels 😇 in heaven God Bless Them 😊 7:11
*Two of **_the_** most beloved artists of my youth. We loved them.. and they fully deserved it! These two 'True Gentlemen' are now entertaining the audiences in the Heavenly Realms...*
Oh my ....those were the days . It was a different world back then it seems , such wonderful warm memories . Thank you for these videos of the fantastic Val Doonican . I was lucky to meet him once , he was charming , he hugged me and it’s a moment I treasure .
I saw Harry Secombe in concert at Launceston, Tasmania. He stood up to he microphone when he spoke to us, but stepped back a couple of paces to sing. It was a great concert.
Two great wonderful hugely talented lovely men..sadly missed but always remembered..thank you for platforms like YT to showcase their amazing legacy - God bless you Val & Harry 👍 They don’t just make them like you anymore 🙏🙏
I love Sir Harry Seacombe's voice . He described himself as not so much. Belcanto more can belto! Val Doonican has a good voice too. May both men rest in peace.
Sir Harry always made fun of his voice back in the Goon Shiw days. His voice coach kept trying to convince him to sing opera for a living. We do have a movie in which he plays a popular music-hall entertainer who’s trying to become an opera singer, complete with a solid performance of Nessun dorma…
I loved both of them singing both Val and Sir Harry Secombe ❤️ they were very wonderful men with great 👍 voices ❤️ RlP both Val and Sir Harry forever 3:46
Best live performance I ever saw was Harry Secombe, Roy Castle and Ruth Madoc in Pickwick at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Roy Castle had a seven minute standing ovation. His last major public performance before he died from lung Cancer. Very moving to think back on it. Such talent on that stage....
I connect Val Doonican with Christmas in the 1970s because his show seemed to appear year after year with the same affable, safe appeal - parents wouldn't be embarrassed while children watched. Sir Harry has lost a lot of weight here, as he jokes at the beginning. I remember him as a jolly, fat man who never claimed to be a great singer. I think he was wrong - his final note is sublime.
We really didn’t appreciate the talent these island possessed . Dad played these two special people all the time. Thanks dad. I appreciate them now.

Wholesome. Kind humour
I keep forgetting a beautiful voice Harry had, so powerful without any straining like many tenors ....

You can tell that one, is a tenor! One is a light baritone. I used to watch val, when i was much younger. Good old days.

His modesty was his hallmark, but in reality he had a superb voice. He could have been an opera singer if he had had the right chances.
Val and Sir Harry were wonderful singers l so miss them both
Talent at its best. Nothing like this now
An entertainer's tenor & an operatic tenor... both good, but the operatic singing at his normal strength completely swamps the entertainer.
Are you sure Val's a tenor? I heard he was a baritone.
Wow what a lovely surprise dont find talent and great singers like these greats
