Hunted moose all my life and one of the most memorable memories I have was meeting a Lynx within 20 feet back in the 1960's away up in Northern Canada . We were both surprised, and looked at each other eye to eye for about 10 seconds before he took off. One of the truly great and most beautiful creatures around. Thanks for not shooting it
One of God's most majestic creature's out in the wild who's presence is very much a necessity in maintaining a healthy balance in nature's ever ending cycle of sustainable species growth and demise as predator and play.
The Bobcat is a preditor of deer but they are rather a noble animal that most people admire and like to look at and they do not survive habitat destruction like Coyotes do.Coyotes can and do live in many urban city parks and kill cats and small dogs for a living, they need to be thinned down.
Should have fired a round in the ground 4ft. behind it when it had it's nose by the decoy, talk about inside out and airborne, then watch it in slow-motion, they are super fast..................................
In Oklahoma, you have to have all kinds of licenses, permits and regulations to kill one and what sucks is I have two Chihuahuas and seen a big bobcat a couple of weeks ago in our back yard.
I got a full grown lynx/bobcat cross that husband broke its leg and refused to allow his wife to take her during a violet divorce. Cat was crazy with pain and fear but she eventually figuired out the situation was better than what he had done to her. My k9 wasn't REAL happy with having a 3 legged chainsaw in the house but he let her be. They never would be what Id call freinds but peaceful on my small john boat when we went fishing.I often wondered if they could work things out and coexist and people CAN'T. .who is really the dumb animal? Us or them? She would drag hit clothes from dryer and lay on them and slept on top of fridge. I came home from work to find her atop the chest of a very frightened woukd be burglar. I almost felt sorry for him! She could leap prettyb high and was pretty good sized so Im sure she could have taken down a deer if she were wild .She was as alert as GSD and okay with me but it took her a while to allow the deputy Coworkers with ..to pet her but she was a good companion.
No that’s not a link it’s a bobcat links for the little difference in there a lot lighter color your feet are real big and I got Things on top of her ears that stick up
Stephen. I hope you wouldn't shoot a magnificent cat like that, even if you had permission. Do you know why we have so many coyotes and feral pigs? It's because we killed all the apex predators like Grizzlies, mountain lions and wolves that used to be so abundant. Why? To make it safe. Now you kill all the bobcats? Expect to be over run with varmits. Btw, the next time you see the state flag of CA, notice the Grizzle Bear. You know how many are left in the state of CA? Zero.
What a rude thing to say. Just because people don't know something does not make them idiots, especially if they have not been informed as to what he was hunting. This statement makes you sound like a real jerk !
Should we be thankfull to the people who kill beautiful animals like this? I mean, if they did not kill so many wild animals we would see the animals often enough in our lives so that we would not find the experience any fascinating, we probably would not Even mentioned a encounter to our friends / family.. Or Should we judge them and let them know that it would be much better if they killed human predators / top tier criminals instead?
It would be cool if all weapons haad like 10% chance to shoot the shooter in the brain, the % chance to shoot the shooter should be calculated by AI, wired with electrodes to the shooters brain, depending on where the shooter is going to hit it, hit it perfekt, 1 shot 1 kill finished should be 10% to get a headshot back in your own brain, shooting or Even aiming for a place where the animals would just get injured, should be 100% leg selfshot as warning, just for aiming. People would have to pay more respect to firearms then, now they just say they have respect for it, most of them dont Even try it out on themself either... Why try it on others when you scared of it happening to yourself unless its for a good cause or self defense.. No answer here will be a good answer.
I called a beautiful Bobcat to within 10 feet of the front of my car using a predator call on my IPhone in Olathe, KS. It came running up an abandoned road, jumped up onto the concrete barrier, then jumped down and stopped about 10 feet away. It sat down and watched me as I took a video of it out the side window. It sat there for about ten minutes, then slowly walked away. You can hear the call in the background. I had my IPhone sitting on the roof of my car playing the call. I have called in coyotes before using my IPhone and a bluetooth speaker and a free Coyote and Predator call App. This was the first Bobcat I called in. th-cam.com/video/qb21CGrmtc0/w-d-xo.html

My heart skipped a beat as I thought you were going to shoot it. I am so glad such a magnificent beast will live another day.
No need to shoot these beautiful Cats -- thanks for not shooting. Man, that

Gorgeous cat! Smart! Got gone after he realized it was a trap. Thanks for not shooting.
They may later shoot it and you won't be notified.
I shot it clean shot
Thanks for posting. I'm surprised how close he got to the decoy.
The bobcat just confirmed that the sound wasn’t coming from an injured, vulnerable animal …
Much better than Bigfoot, and UFO video's!
At least the land owner had some respect. Thanks for sharing your video and respecting the wishes of the land owner.
What are you trying to say I don't get what you're trying to say
Not shooting the bobcat?

Trouble is, now he's educated.
Jake McConnell actually thank God for that so people like u don’t kill them for the mere sake of a ‘trophy’
How disgusting honestly.

Can you shoot what was the purpose of calling it in
We were calling for coyotes and the landowner specifically told us we weren't allowed to shoot any bobcats on his farm.
that was a huge Bobcat
well built yes
damn that had to be painful to let go of lol Bring a suppressor next time XD
Do they make good pets?
Only if you raise them from cubs/kittens and are willing to devote a substantial portion of your daily life to caring for them.

Why no shot
Y
I see know reason to kill Bobcats none.
You obviously do not raise livestock. I love them but I have had to get rid of a few when they kill too many of my chickens ducks or turkeys.
Where’s the kaboom? Wasted 7 minutes of my life
