What do you think about the sounds that bobcats make?
They sound drunk as hell! But I absolutely love them.
@@thepast5790 Drunk and sassy haha
They sound like what people record to be Sasquatch.
CRAZY GRUMPY!?!
@@Jeni-ow1kl I know right!
Haven't heard a bobcat scream since I was young,it will make all your hair stand up in the dark of night...Lol
I bet! 🐾
It’s amazing how much larger and scarier they sound than a cougar!
They are more guttural sounding! 🐾
I was just thinking the same thing!
When a mountain lion screams it is more high pitched. Still sounds large and terrifying though. I love both of them but they're both scary af!
Yeah try having one live next door in an abandoned house...😂
He's pretty freaking cool though for real. He don't bother anything and comes to eat the cat food left over from the strays that hang out.😂
That first example sounds a lot like my husband’s snoring! 😕
So basically any sound you hear in the woods that would scare the 💩 out of you is a bobcat. Got it
Sounds about right! 🐾
Foxes make some crazy noises too.
😮 Or Bigfoot!
Not really. We as humans find any sound at night in the woods alone is a possible threat. We created fire or figured it out at least. Wild predators are scared of fire, we are not.
In the dark and alone in in a wilderness setting can really scare the shit out of us. Our minds are geared a certain way with blind eyes in the dark and heightened hearing. But what is there in the dark was there during the day. Ergo a fire at night is so comforting in a wilderness situation and a gun really makes you feel better. Bobcats do not attack humans but bears and panthers may. But even a cricket letting loose in the dark next to you is scary.
@ajduplahd Skinwalker huh? Someone's been watching a lot of Discovery and Travel Channel.
I ain't sayin' there are not Cryptids out there but... as much time as a spend alone in the wild. I have never seen one. Funny thing was one night camping with a subdued fire and covered two groups of "squatch" hunters that never saw metered whooping at each other and knocking on trees.
But I do believe there are actual Cryptids out there. I just believe they are smart enough to stay away from idiots. Just like I was with the two groups of Bigfoot Hunters.
My cat got out once and crossed the street. I was outside standing under the carport calling my cat. All of a sudden my cat darted past me, right behind him was a bobcat, he stopped chasing my cat and stopped next to me, looked up at me, slowly turned and trotted away. It was at that point I realized what it was. My cat never escaped and went that far again.
That's a cool but scary story! I keep a close watch on my 🐈
I let my cats listen to this, thinking they might settle down. The male cat rubbed the phone.🙄
We live on the eastern edge, of Duluth MN. Sometimes they store rail cars across the street, and leave a gap. For walking trails. One winter morning, I was out in the porch. Looking south toward the rail cars. A bobcat was walking in the gap. I yelled to it. What are you doing here. It turns its head, and started talking cat talk to me. Like a house cat sometimes does. He seemed surprised, and amused, that I'd talk to it. Then turned and walked into the woods, on the south side of the tracks...
😂😂😂
I bet not!!
Oh my goodness,
I am sleeping with a bobcat!!
Should have recognized that "purrrrr" before it was too late! haha
😂
Hahahaha
And who is Zia, do you know anything about Bobcats?
@@boscodog4358 I know nothing about sleeping with a bobcat but trust me when I say that my tux cat annoys me because he takes up 1/2 of the bed! Anyway, is your bobcat sleeping with a cougar? 😂💦
That first one would have me thinking sasquach!!😲
Many people have said that!
My bf and I were cat fishing in southern MN once and heard a terrifying whooping cry across the river. We were certain we heard a wendigo. It was around 3am, and we were so afraid. It’s now obvious we heard a bobcat😂
Glad that the video could help you identify the sound! They really can sound very terrifying. 🐾
Despite the creepy sounds they make, I love them so much
Same here, mr.lizard! 🐾
And they love you, too. You're very tasty.
I'm sure they love you too.
Do you know any personally?
@@prettyhotmess7866 sadly not :(
Thanks for this! Had a disagreement with a fellow who was convinced the sounds he recorded was a sasquatch.
Definitely a screaming bobcat 😃
Glad it was helpful! 🐾
Once again , there is no Bigfoot. And Corona was man made
Would make a real Saskwatc head turn...🙀🙀🙀.....could definitely scare an alien 👽👽👽. Why did Mother Nature empower them with a voice like that ?? Wonder what a baby bobcat sounds like ???
🙄
This recording was really a Sasquatch.........😂
Bobcats are moving back into this area
Their vocalizations are near terrifying. One night I thought a bobcat had gotten my house because they can project their screams so powerfully.
I've had a few incidents where I thought they were closer than they actually were! Thanks for watching! 🐾
I have heard the scream at night in the woods of a bobcat & sound just like a baby crying. So real I still remember it 50 years later.
They're harmless I've come across my entire life working on our ranch 😂😂
I saw one last night when I stepped outside like around 12:30 am I was just sitting on the steps getting some
crisp air and out of nowhere I see it come out of the wooded area and we made eye contact and was like welppp time to go inside lol
@JessicaBabeee91 they're usually not aggressive, at least with my experience working on our family ranch. I've come across a mountain lion once, and that made me freeze. At the end of the day, it was an awesome experience after all was said and done. We have quite a few different predators out here, but as long as they don't mess with our cattle I just enjoy seeing watching them. I was watching some deer about a week ago jumping the fence, and there was a coyote that was chasing them down in the middle of the afternoon, which I thought was interesting. Anyway, just my point of view lol. I didn't mean to write a novel.
I heard the screaming sound in my backyard once. Went out with a flashlight and a 12 gauge and saw 2 pairs of orange glowing eyes staring back at me. Went back in the house quick!
Better to retreat and live to fight again!
A real man.
Mike M
I Googled this info:
Coyotes, wolves and dog's eyes usually have a fiery white glow. A bobcat's eyeshine is yellowish white. A bear's eyes will glow fiery orange.
I have lived in the forests and mountains all my life and heard lots of predators. I think many wildcat vocalizations are mistakenly thought to be Bigfoot, LOL. I have listened to many so-called Bigfoot audios that were, in my opinion, elk, moose, Bobcats, cougars, coyotes, and even pine squirrels...
Wild animals make some strange noises. Easily mistaken for something else when you don't know. Thanks for watching! 🐾
Charlie Swearingen
Look up the Sierra sounds that Ron Morehead taped.
@@mustanghildago4540 Morehead's Sierra recordings sound more like sasquatch or something I don't recognize, but not a bobcat, LOL. I have heard similar sounds in the Idaho wilderness north of Stanley, Idaho.
💯👍
They’re still adorable. Even with their horrifying growls
Hey Michael. They sure are! 🐾
@@assortedanimalsonline do they enjoy catnip?
@@elminero49 I would assume so! I know that lions do.
I would love to be a bobcat "mom".... Bob's are beautiful cats !!!😻😻😻😻😻 yes, they are gorgeous cats, aside from that deep sore throat sounding angelic voice. Kitty needs some serious soothing remedy.😿😿
@@annanardo2358 They are wild animals. They are not pets.
I was in a remote part of Wyoming hiking down to a hi mountain lake and I heard this screaming that just freaked me out I had no idea what it was but promptly left . Some time later I was in Colorado in a wilderness area and heard the same thing and saw two Bob Cats going at it and the sound was unreal. Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching! 🐾
@@assortedanimalsonline Thank you for the info on Bob Cats
I really enjoyed this video, mostly because my husband and I own whats called a "PIXIE BOB " which is a hybrid of a domestic cat and a BobCat, gosh we really love this beautiful cat, she is not the warm and fuzzie type of cat, she cannot tolerate being picked up. She had a litter of kittens, my husband and I agreed that we would NOT keep any of them, and I was serious about it, but one of the kittens was solid black with only one quarter sized white under his chin. (now he is the warm fuzzie type, actually a gentle giant, (he is huge,so very sweet) My husband and I have never had a cat until a couple of yrs ago. Three cats were dropped off here at our house (out in the woods it was from the humane society) the one cat was a female and was a "catch and release" with her ear clipped. There was not much we could do but allow her to be with us, and she was terrified of everything she was so traumatized it took a long time before we could even pet her, but she is still with us. We thought she would like to have a cat companion, so when these Pixie Bob kittens became available we got one of the kittens. We absolutely adore her, and her coat is beautiful which is considered the Tuxedo. Anyway, this kitten we got as a companion to the original cat (catch and released cat) This kitten tormented this poor cat, and instead of being a comfort for her, this kitten drove her crazy, and the kitten just wanted to play. Giving this gift to her turned out to do the opposite for her. This poor cat felt displaced. I'm sorry to go on, and on but we are at least maintaining here , and feeding all these cats is not cheap. We only give them wet food once a day, dry food is always available. Do any of you prepare your own cat food?
I had no idea they even sounded like this until now...Holy sh!t it doesn't sound like an animal..but like someone possessed 😂
My sister in law and I heard this first sound a couple of nights ago while we were walking at night in our subdivision. It freaked us out and now that I know what it was, I might think twice about walking again after dark!
I would definitely stay on alert! 🐾
Grandma what big ears you have.......
You should not walk at night bob cat or not… the number of women that go missing every year is astronomical.
@@Zia01023agree…especially in a subdivision….I myself walk my own wooded trail at night…..there was a bobcat caught on camera on our trail 9/1/2023 so may start taking my handgun just in case!
Wow! I never knew they could make so many strange sounds. They sound louder, scarier, more chilling than a mountain lion, right? Is that their defense because they are a smaller wildcat?
That and to let other bobcats know what territory is theirs! 🐾
So beautiful creatures and so creepy voices 😱
Yes, they are beautiful! 🐾
I live in the hills of eastern Kentucky and I am surrounded by woods so I hear them every night just about. That and foxes, coyotes etc. Always respect them though and we throw any scraps we have at the far edge of the woods for the wildlife to rummage through ❤ It’s out of respect bc we do live in their territory basically.
Here in Texas, we have them as well! They all have their place in the ecosystem 🐾
@@assortedanimalsonline Indeed they do! It’s sad how many people are taking away their homes and woodlands. We should be respectful of their homes and give back to them in some way at least.
There was a show something like WHEN PEOPLE DISAPPEAR WITHOUT A TRACE where there was a young man in a car, lost, and he called home in the dark scared and in the background you could hear this terrifying growling, muttering yowl and hearing YOUR audio, I swear it was a bob cat near him. They eventually found his car but he was never seen again.
Dang.. sounds like he got .... bobcatted.
Probably a cougar.
They would have found me locked in the car
We heard stories of people hearing sounds like a woman crying, and was supposed to be the sound in Appalachia of a panther. It was heard occasionally in remote mountains of Appalachia. One of the Bobcat’s sounds is like somebody being attacked.
They can be very vocal when they are mating or when they are defending territory! 🐾
Back in the '70s I went to this apartment complex that was half occupied & still being built. This was in Lynchburg, Va. I remember walking around the still being built part (it was completely deserted at the time) at dusk & hearing noises like some of these. There were woods all around.
Could have definitely been bobcats! Curiosity kills the cat and the cat may kill the curious, if they are not careful enough! 🐾
I had one nearly climb into a ground blind with me.He climbed a nearby tree and started making the sound shown in #1....Scared the crap out of me..A sound I won't forget.
That would have scared the crap out of me too! 🐾
If you have ever heard mating or fighting housecats at night, you know what the Walpurgis night gatherings might have sounded like.
Things that go bump in the night! 🐾
I remember hunting when we heard what sounded like a baby crying. It turned out to be a bobcat mating.
They definitely get vocal during mating season! 🐾
The last one sounded like a bobcat using a rotary pay phone in a booth and dropping it's change. Incidentally bobcats I heard are capable of taking down prey eleven times it's own size. I can believe this because I once saw a "tame" bobcat jumping on someone and it's entire body was at least five feet in the air when it did it's playful jump. Consider that a bobcat and weigh up to ten to twenty pounds and imagine something that size tossing it's twenty pound body at you going for your neck; something is going to get hurt.
They are definitely a force to be reckoned with!
Don't go into the woods unarmed. At least take a hunting knife.
I live in a deep woodland in Georgia where bobcat sounds at night are frequent. I once got a good look at one right after dawn as I began to climb a hill in my truck. A full leap from a rise to the left of the dirt track, across the ditch, across the track, and then a final gorgeous leap across the ditch on the right. Beautiful.
That's cool! Thanks for watching! 🐾
What part of ga?
One morning about dawn, I was surprised by a couple of mating bobcats at the same moment they noticed me.
I stood frozen as the male approached.
I stared in awe at these majestic creatures.
When He was about 5 ft from me I noticed His huge paws.
I instinctively hissed at Him and They both bolted into the forest
That's an awesome story! Glad you got out of it unscathed! 🐾
I live in north eastern tenn and back in July I heard a thumping noise around my car while I was driving.Liw and behold,a young bobcat ran under my Honda and got killed.Poor little fella was about half grown and I hated the fact that I never even saw it until I stopped and went back to pick it up.Very pretty,it weighed about 35 lbs.
That's sad. Rest in Peace. 🕊
My bobcat makes a "heeerumph" sound as a greeting. Has been a great girl for 20 years now.
That's awesome!
How did you get her?
The bobcats in Florida are huge. Their growl is spine chilling. When you hear one you think ... what the hell was THAT?
Sounds scary!
Heard a bobcat early this AM… scared the willies out of me!
I live in Florida - I see them from time to time - even in our yard. They are always so scared so it’s a real treat to see them.
I live in Florida surrounded by swamps and forests. I’ve heard these sounds before and became paralyzed with fear. Now I know! I was looking for cat sounds to bring my cats to me and found this video!!
Someone has pointed out to me one time, that even though bobcats are smaller, they make those really deep growling noises, but meanwhile, a cougar is much bigger and more dangerous, but it makes these little birdlike chirps that don't seem very scary at all. I went up the mountain into the woods one time a few years ago, and I heard a noise that sounded a lot like the very first growl, that very deep, scary sound. It scared the crap out of me, and I was looking all around, in every direction, trying to see where it came from, looking up and down and in the trees, and I never saw a single thing at all.
They are masters at being unseen! 🐾
I've heard big cats sound like a bear growling and a deer whistling, at different times. Fascinating what they can do.
I thought the same thing.
These sounds remind me of a story so horrific and terrible it brings tears to my eyes and shivers down my spine to this very day - just over 20 years ago this very week I met my X - wife ........
That first one sounded like the snoring at my ex wife’s family reunion.
Lol!😂😂😂
Haha! Thanks for watching! 🐾
I was laughing my butt off at this and then realized I've got the very same story. Damn, more therapy.
Lmao
Was camping last night in Mississippi and that is exactly what I heard.
Thanks for watching! 🐾
They're so beautiful.
They so are! 🐾
Darkest of night -- Sunrise -- High Noon -- Sunset. So many of us, do not know the sounds of the WOODS. This is their playground -- Hunting ground -- Sanctuary. Native Americans knew more than nearly all who hike the woods today. The perils of not knowing.
Very true! 🐾
It's surreal, they make sounds that are like a mix of a big cat and a housecat. Their meowing sounds like a human imitating a cat meow and their growling sounds like a sped up lion roar.
With extra sass 🐾
I live in an area where I have lions and bobcats, bears, etc. frequenting my property. Example 1 is more menacing and terrifying than any lion I have heard! I would hate to hear that behind me (or anywhere near). Very interesting, since I have seen them, but never heard them. Thanks for sharing this video!
No problem! Thanks for watching and for your feedback :)
*That is not the sound of a bobcat. That's the sound of a demon!*
Haha, a demon cat! 🐾 jk they are a necessary part of the eco system
In this part of Arizona, we had a lot of coyotes. But, when the mountain lion shows up, coyote run away. But, when the bobcat comes around, the mountain lion runs off. But, when the road runners come, they all leave. and even hawks stay in the sky. It's always nice when Bobbie the Kitty shows up, tho. I can let the dog out at night without walking with him. Nothing is on the porch roof eyes me.
Bobbie the Kitty, I like that! 🐱
Very well done. I just am trying to find what made a noise at night in the woods. This was just what I needed, but not what I heard. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching. 🐾
Deer make some strange vocalizations.
We live in rural Middle Tn. hear them all the time, few months back we had one screeching under our bedroom window! One of the high schools here has bobcat as their mascot.
Hey John! A high school nearby me also has them as a mascot, here in Texas! 🐾
Thanks for posting I loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🐾
They are truly a beautiful animal ! When I was a boy me and another boy camped up in the hills in Washington co. Mo , some time in the night a bobcat screaming awakes Oh o boy did et ever scare the hell out if us !
I could see how that would be frightening! Nature is amazing.
I'm confident these sounds were used in many horror games and movies.
That would be cool!
They sound way more ferocious than Cougars! 😁
Agreed! 🐾
Wow! We had a young cat and a golden retriever that I would take outside at night to relieve themselves before bedtime. Something bigger started after the cat, I thought it was another cat, just bigger so I chased it out of here, yelling at it. Come to find out, we had been having a bobcat here as I seen it sitting under the edge of our landscape wall!
Here in Texas, I've seen them multiple times in residential neighborhoods! A loud guardian type dog will usually keep them away. 🐾
I didn't even get half way thru this, and both my hunting dogs were like WHAT....ThE.......HeLllll izat?!
I bet! For medium-sized, large cats, they sure can make some terrifying sounds! 🐾
Back in the early ‘90’s, I was about 14 yrs old I was partying with a group of friends in a 5th wheel trailer. The trailer was parked on my friend’s parent’s property, a couple of acres in the desert. The trailer was located a good distance from the main house and it had electricity but no running water. It was late, midnight or so, and after a few drinks I decide to got the bathroom outside behind a bush as we were not allowed to go into the house cuz we would disturb his parents. So I go outside, take 2 steps then freeze because I hear a low cat type growl, it was a mix of the example 1 & 2 together. It stopped me dead in my tracks. A very large cat was standing on top of a dirt mound about 15 feet away from me. I could see that it was some type of huge cat by it’s outline due to the full moon that night. I stopped, then backed up slowly to the door I had just come out of and without turning around, opened the door and quickly went back inside. I don’t know if it was a bobcat or a cougar but it was literally one of the scariest moments of my life. I will never forget it.
That is definitely something that would have stuck with me as well! I love being in nature, but sometimes you gotta back your way outta situations! Thanks for sharing.🐾
Many years ago a buddy and I were camping just off a power line right of way. Sitting round the fire heard a screech, yell, howl that scared us both to death. Don't know what it was...maybe bobcat, fox, owl or Bigfoot. Either way we never went back there.
Probably for the best! Definitely not trying to become prey!
20 lbs of pissed off can be a handful....
You got that right! Thanks for watching! 🐾
Now wait…. Y’all know, you ALL know that these sounds are not bobcats but it’s a bigfoot family arguing who gets to make the ‘tree knocking’ sounds tonight!!!
You are not alone. Apparently a large part of the comment section agrees! Haha.
I was at camp in Northern Minnesota when I first heard this cat.Scared the stuffing right outta me!!
I bet! When I lived in Colorado, we had a thing at school called out door lab, we went to a camp in the mountains for two weeks. I was walking away from our group, and I heard what I believe was a mountain lion! 🐾 had me sticking to the rules for the rest of the trip!
When I was a teenager I lived in the country, and across the dirt road it was all woods. Myself and 3 other girls were out in the yard. It was dark out and we heard something screaming. It sounded like a baby being tortured. We ran in the house screaming. When my dad settled us all down he went outside when he came in he said yep it was a Bobcat. He said it would not bother us if we didn't bother it. Needless to say , we stayed in the house. (example #3)
Better to be safe than sorry! 🐾
I've been lucky enough to live in area that has many bobcats. I hunt. My wife and I fish. @one fav spot, we often saw bobcats, coming down off mt. to river to drink, snag a meal. Saw one black BC. Saw female w/ kits many times over many years. @ one of my fav hunt spots, there is a huge "nursery" tree, that has been used regularly over past 40 yrs. I've only taken one(1978-32lb male) I don't view them as a problem( such as coyotes, MUCH more dangerous, to game animals and people) so I usually don't bother them, unless/ until they begin to over-populate the area, and threaten the wild turkey population. Hunters are wild-life MANAGEMENT agents, as well as good people.
The animals will take care of management, turkeys are prolific and pretty damn smart. People need to stay home. Most hunters are idiots . Some are not and have common sense and respect for nature. You sound like one of those but we have too many of the other unfortunately.
Hey Michael, I've seen a few of them here in Texas. I haven't really heard of them being too much of problem in my area🐾
My son in law and I was standing under the carport last week,( March) and a bobcat was screaming back behind the house in the woods. I didn't know what it was until he said it was a bobcat. Creepy sounds.
Hey Judy, glad the video could be helpful!
I camp in north Ga a lot, especially around Warwoman Rd. (great trout fishing around there)
There's a big hill east of Clayton, that's nicknamed "Screamer Mountain" for this very reason.
Most nights, you can hear these cries, plus a few others kinds.... mostly your ' selection #1 ' .
Scariest ones I heard one night, sounded like a pair of them either fighting or screwing...
... I didn't even THINK about trying to venture out to find out what they were doing ?
and I carry a .454 with me 24/7 up there !!
They're not as big as some people think but they're nothing to mess with! Thanks for watching! 🐾
Interesting! I camp east of there closer to the Chatooga River and came across a bobcat during a hot July day bushwacking up a ridge. I was probably 5 feet from it and it darted off like a proverbial bat out of hell! Didn't make a sound but startled us for sure. I'll remember that first sound in this video for future reference - I didn't think a bobcat's growl could go that low. Amazing creatures!
@@KENFEDOR22 Wow! Never seen one during the day. I spend a lotta time around Sarah's Creek, and hear 'em at night. TBH, I 'm more afraid of surprising a bear, than surprising a cat. I guess it's a good thing that there's more cats than bears up there !!
If you heard a bobcat in heat you would never go in the woods again
Got that right! 🐾
When I was younger we built a cabin in cooks swap we didn't have the gable end finished a bobcat jumped on it and started growing last time I was in cooks swap
@@johncurtis1472 Dang! 🐾
I heard that sound when I was bow hunting deer rights after I climbed into my tree stand before sunrise. Scared the crap out of me.
It's not a sound I would want to hear in the dark! 🐾
They sound more ferocious than mountain lions.
Mountain lions have a higher vocal range usually! 🐾
Indeed, scarier than mountain lion screams; rivals the Tasmanian Devil screams. Me: 💩+🏃♂️
You got that right, Penelope! 🐾
just got back from a hunting trip when one crossed my path in the rain, and I got to within 8ft; from him and watched him for 10 min. He just sat there looking at me and never moved. He was not scared and never left, after ten minutes I decided to leave. I have never seen one this close, I was even talking to him, but he just sat there, and he was not nervous. A very beautiful animal that is rare to see in the woods in northern Ontario, and to be able to get this close is almost impossible. I only wished that I had my camera.
That sounds pretty awesome! It's like you were both studying each other. 🐾
Oh my goodness... But I love kitties. Meow. Raaaahhrrr. They're puuurrrrrfect.
Yaas! 🐾
I have seen a few here in VA. They're famous in the mountains.
I've seen a few, here in Texas, where I live!
I just needed to know if what growled at me in my dark, rural neighborhood was a bobcat or Florida panther. In any case, I should just go to sleep…indoors. 😂
That would be the safe thing to do! Lol 🐾
The beginning sounds a lot like my wife snoring.
Yikes! Well at least she always keeps you on your toes. 🐾
I played this to my cat...she yawned
House cats are great too! LOL Thanks for watching! 🐾
awesome!!! I think I even hear the bobcat saying wow 😂
They do be talking! 🐾
That first one would be truly terrifying if you were in the woods at night. Good Lord!!!🤯
I would back the heck up outta there, real quick like! 🐾
Beautiful cats.
They definitely are! 🐾
Very interesting! I think I'll check out the documentary.
Thanks!
Very interesting , I just read that as of 2022 there are about 5000 BOBCATS in the state of Illinois including in some suburbs , never knew now I'm glad I do !!
The more you know! 🐾
My reply would be; “nice kitty cat, be a nice kitty…”
Same! 🐾
imagine seeing a stray cat from a distance and you get close and its larger and makes these noises
My dumb self would still be like.. pspsps
In 2007, the Disney World resort I was staying in had a lot of bunny’s that were attracting Bob cats. I saw some in the evenings but they kept their distance.
That would have made for a terrifying presentation! 🐾
Some years back my bio-dad's cat had a staring/hissing match with a bobcat, he was in California at the time and was on the second floor, that bobcat was somehow, sitting on the roof outside a second floor window, having a full on screaming match with this tiny little house cat, like the cat was incredibly small despite being full grown, also this cat had it so when he'd put his two front legs together the pattern on him was that of a heart. Story checked out too, bio-dad had a pic of the window screen torn to shreds, lucky he was living in military housing cause- that would have been a very pretty penny otherwise.
Hey Brittany, that's a cool story! Sucked for the screen tho 🐾
Bobcats in the far distance, sound like a woman screaming help. I lived most of my life in the mountains. We used to hear this most nights of the week long after we all went to bed.
Mountain lions do as well! 🐾
My cats approve of this video. They admire their bigger, wild cousins!
That's awesome! My cat likes to watch it too 🐾
They can sure mess up some hunting dogs
Thanks for watching! 🐾
He sure has a loud gutteral growl for a cat of its size…we had on on our trail cam behind the house on Sept 1,2023
They would make great death metal singers!
I catch them all the time on my trail cam. Pretty cool...
So cool! Thanks for watching! 🐾
Awesome video! Knowing what a bobcat sounds like may save their lives someday. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you very much! Bringing awareness to wildlife is one of the reasons we do this! Thanks for the sub!
Bobcats don't attack people. You are nuts. There's never been a Bobcat attack.
You have a higher chance of being killed by a dog than a bobcat.
@@Sigma_Male_Anti_Female .. I have bobcats as neighbors. We just respect each other and leave each other alone.
Came on here to see if what I heard this morning while walking was a bobcat and it was! It was a bobcat howling. I never saw it but when the rabbits started running in one direction, I ran with them screaming for my life. I think I crapped my pants. I had never heard anything like that before.
Oh nooooo! 💩at least you were aware of your surroundings 🐾
It sounds like Bigfeet is in a grumpy mood
It's his stomach rumbling, haha
Well that was terrifying 😨
Indeed! 🐾
I think bobcats are so cool there sounds are amazing i think its to do with mimicking sounds of the prey they smell.

It sounds like that bobcat is possessed.
Agreed! 🐾
I was in ElDorado CA. My bf was fishing @dusk as nite set in_ He cast his line out & immediately had a super big fish on_ Just as my guy yanked the line get th@ fish out the water_ a massive Effin Bobcat in amazing stride ripped th@ fish off the line & bound outta sight into darkness... It was Legit most Beautiful_Once in'a Lifetime ❤
That sounds crazy! I would have been like WTH just happened! 🐾
I know there's some argument if a bobcat can produce offspring with a domestic cat. But I live out in the country, and I saw what mated with my cat...it was probably half bobcat. Anyways, obviously i love bobcats, and my 2 (precious Paris is deceased) furry "bobcat" babies.
Aww! 🐾
Yup that's what I heard in my backyard 🤠
Well at least you know they're lurking! 🐾
Example one sounds like Grandpa snoring
Totally does 🐾
Was a Pro Trapper for 30 yrs in Wildoming, Trapped Thousands of Bobcats. The Growl Snarl is what they sound like in a Trap. Heard them Fighting Several Times, the most common sound was a Loud Meow. My Totem Animal!!
First hand knowledge. Thanks for sharing! 🐾
Have you ever seen a bob cat that is all grey? He had black rings around his legs. Live in mts in Massachusetts. Tk u
@@joannedigirolamo8723 No, although Grey is the most Common Color on them overall. Another Name for them is Red Lynx. Canadian Lynx are mostly Grey with a White Belly.
I am a new resident of Southern Georgia. I don't know WHAT I heard this morning at 5AM sitting in my yard, but I felt like I was in a jungle with wild animals! I'm in a semi residental neighborhood, with many trees around. This was a loud SCREAM/SHRIEK followed by low guttural sounds. Please, if anyone can enlighten me, I would be forever grateful. The sound came from near my neighbors yard and she has many lights on during the evening. I am dumbfounded. 😮😮
Could be a bobcat or a mountain lion. Maybe consider putting up a tail cam or a ring camera! 🐾
Perhaps a Florida Panther
