I just laugh off what people say about Lars. For being 60, I'd say he's holding it down pretty damn good.
Nice if they could have agreed on the tempo from the start. Lars did catch up though, and he's been practicing. Skinnier too, and looks like he is having fun. Not at all flawless, but improvement, so a clear 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
His lack of skill he has on the drums he more than makes up for when it comes to structuring 99% of Metallica songs. There wouldn't be Metallica at all without him so I'm willing to take mediocre drumming with post edits over nothing

they have been doing this so fucking long. when i was kid i saw them in houston. i mean this was literally like 30 years ago! they have been doing this my whole life. everything i did, school, jobs, women, kids, people i know being born and dying. all this time, they have been playing whiplash and ride the lightning and shit. such a long time. so many shows.

Can I just mention that Lars made incredible progress - he sounds great. His fill are perfectly combined with song, tasty and not china-based chaos. Mad respect that guy in such a band still wants to improve and now sounds better than ever.

I think this song should have been played later in the show. It's not an easy one to start with & have perfect timing from the very 1st note.
