Hi stand up is really fun. I've only seen one of his routines but if it was indicative of what to expect than you won't be disappointed. His son prodded him to make a comeback saying, 'you left that life to raise me, well, I'm an adult, raising complete, you can go back if you want now.' So he did.

So two things. One, George Lukas LOVED this movie. He was giving the script to look over before they made it and he even gave permission for a very very brief cameo. To parody Star Wars, Steven Speilberg made Mel Brooks promise a couple things. (1) No Spaceballs merchandise - which is why there's so much of it IN the movie. (2) Lone Star couldn't be dressed like Han Solo - so Brooks dressed him like another Harrison Ford Character, Indiana Jones.

SpaceBalls is one of the best spoof movies and my favorite Mel Brooks movie. I think the Aliens Looney Tunes moment is my favorite joke in the movie. I think every joke in Spaceballs hits, and it's pretty much everything you'd want in a parody of Star Wars. I'd highly recommend checking out Mel Brooks other comedies, Blazing Saddles and History of the World, Part I. Snotty is a parody of a popular Star Trek character Scotty. Another franchise to look forward to checking out. I'd recommend you start with the JJ Abrams trilogy to start. Another goofy, ridiculous comedy movie I'd recommend is Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It's a comedy about King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table on a holy quest for the Holy Grail, the cup that held the blood of Jesus Christ. Monty Python and the Holy Grail makes fun of every aspect of the King Arthur legends. It's also bonkers in the best of ways and absolutely hilarious. It's even crazier than SpaceBalls.
