Thomas Wilson, who plays Biff, was himself bullied as a child, so for his character he adopted the mannerisms of the bullies he himself had had to deal with. The result is VERY convincing. In real life, Thomas Wilson is an absolute sweetheart - a common feature with great movie villains. He has also aged extremely gracefully, I might add.

I cannot begin to tell you how many times that I've watched this film/trilogy, and I **NEVER** caught on to the fact that eventhough Marty didn't get to play at his H.S. dance, he got to play at his parents' high school dance. I mean, I knew it logically, but I never got *it* before...if you get my meaning. You continue to suprise and amaze me with what you catch onto with films I've seen countless times. ❤
At the audition, Marty is deemed too darn loud. At the Enchantment Under The Sea dance, he was deemed too darn wild (and too loud by Strickland’s response). Marty is just not a mid kind of guy. 😄
1. Cranky principal Strickland/James Tolkan also played the ship's squadron leader in "Top Gun". 2. The teacher that tells Marty, "Hold it fellas, I'm afraid you're just too darn loud" is Huey Lewis himself. "Heart of rock and roll" etc. They were playing a HL song. 3. Eric Stoltz was first cast as Marty, but he didn't play well with others and wasn't giving the tone they were looking for. fired. Some of his long shots are still in the movie. 4. The flammable material set on fire with the model exercise had to have been put there on purpose. Movie magic. 5. It's always fun to see how people react to the Marty and his mom car scene. 6. George McFly/Crispin Glover didn't like that the story ended with the family being prosperous. DA🙄 7. Twin Pines Mall becomes Lone Pine Mall when Marty takes one of Mr. Peabody's pines out when he goes back to 1955. 8. IMVHO part II is my favorite of the trifecta. 9. If you want a first time/share of an OUTSTANDING movie where Christopher Lloyd can play anything. He plays the heavy you must do "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".
It's not just good, it's a masterpiece. The moment George finally stands up to Biff , ,no matter how many times I watch it always gets me a little teary eyed, "I am your destiny" and of course, he was.
Loraine got a George who protects her, but the things that shows they're really meant to be together is that she also protected him, she intervened when Biff was about to break his arm.

One of the perfect screenplays. There were a lot of popular movies in the 80s; many are forgotten except by old guys like me. This one never has been forgotten, for the reasons you state in your conclusion.
Was wishing you'd watch this movie. :D All the reactors do "Back to the Future", but I thought it would be fun to have your sensible, no-nonsense take on it, and it was. Thanks! Little bit of movie trivia: back when the movie was still in pre-production, the ending was completely different and involved a complicated sequence including a roadtrip to Nevada where nuclear bomb testing was going on at the time, and they would harvest the energy of an atomic bomb explosion to send Marty back to 1985. That didn't pan out for special effects budgetary reasons and possibly other stuff too, so instead the idea formed of the current ending, and then they could tie the ending back to the beginning of the movie with the 1985 clock tower to form a great circle and keep everything contained to their small town set, which is just so much better overall. If they'd had more money and gone with the Nevada ending, I don't think this movie would have had nearly the impact it has had. It would probably have done well and been remembered, but the harmony of beginning meeting the end meeting the beginning - it just can't be matched. Fun trivia: in the first scenes, Doc calls Marty and asks to meet him at Twin Pines Mall. Marty subsequently travels to the past, escapes the mad pine farmer's gunfire and runs over a pine in the process, more complications ensue, then he returns to 1985. Watch the glowing sign at the mall as Marty comes running on foot to save Doc from the terrorists...! :DDD Fun trivia II: California Raisins bought a product placement in the movie, and what they got for their cash was their logo on the backrest of the bench where the drunken hobo sleeps in the 1985 version of Hill Valley (which is a ridiculous name for a town, but anyway...) Of course, they weren't too happy about that lol, so they sued the movie production! I don't remember what happened after that, they probably settled out of court for something comparatively minor, then Zemeckis, Spielberg and crew went back to laughing maniacally and rolling in the piles of money their movie was bringing in. :) Conclusion: Back in the day, BttF was a kids' movie that was also for adults - with some appropriately 1980s-style adult themes, like the chronically depressed alcoholic mother, the peeping tom dad, Biff the molesting bully (played by whatsisname, Tom Wilson, isn't it? Anyway, GREAT guy, nice, super funny guy IRL - couldn't be further from Biff in the movie), and some implied incest themes just for kicks, because the 1980s was a mad, mad decade. So anyway, the kids got to have their fun, and their parents got to remember being teens in the 1950s, and now the 1980s kids have grown up and had their kids, and have had their go at being nostalgic about the 1980s scenes! :D It never ends... :)
Silly observation that maybe no-one will care about except me: When Marty says, "You made a time machine.... out of a DeLorean?" It was actually a really big laugh line at the movie theater in 1985. At that time, the 'DeLorean scandal' was just a few years old (1982) when the founder of the DeLorean Motor Company, Jon DeLorean, was charged with cocaine trafficking and the company went defunct (he was trying to save the company by making a big cocaine deal worth 24 million). Today, a DeLorean is considered to be a cool, innovative and classic machine (not the least because of its decades of 'Back to the Future' fame - and there are no laughs when Marty delivers that line.

23:24 I've seen this movie so many times, but just noticed something on the wall, to the upper left: the name Ron Woodward for senior class president. At first, I thought of Woodward and Bernstein, the journalists who uncovered the Watergate scandal... but that's Bob, not Ron. Anyway, it turns out someone named Ron Woodward worked behind the scenes in this movie as a key grip, one of the senior roles among the lighting, electrical and all the technical tasks involved in the filmmaking, allowing the director to concentrate on the artistic stuff.
I loved this one. But... the second is great also and the third one will absolutely blow you away!! For real. I'm glad you had so much fun watching it. It was fun watching again... through your eyes!! As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.

I grew up in the '50's so I remember it well, but over time, there were incremental changes that accumulated unnoticed. Watching this movie in 1985, it was a shock all the way through to be presented with the vast differences. The movie captured so many nuances of how these two time periods would clash. If I was teaching American history, I would show my class this movie and It's A Wonderful Life and then talk in great detail all the elements of past society. Robert Zemeckis directed this movie and a few years later, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Both focus on the same theme, although in a totally different way. For centuries, people lived, worked, and played as close to the center of town as possible. As the car culture took hold in America, after WWII, there was a wholesale overturning of society's goals, with the life of the town/city moving out to the suburbs, leaving the bustling downtown the neglected "inner city." It was only in the 1980's the people began to realize in many ways this was a mistake.
Michael J Fox was always their first choice to play Marty, but he was initially busy with a popular 80's sitcom called "Family Ties" (where he was the breakout star) and couldn't do it. So they cast another actor named Eric Stoltz. After a few weeks, however, it was clear that Stoltz wasn't working out. He was giving a dramatic performance in what was supposed to be a comedy. They ended up having to let Stoltz go, and pleased with the producers of "Family Ties" to let Michael do the movie. The compromise they worked out was that Michael would work on the show by day and shoot the movie at night. That's why so much of the film takes place either at night or indoors. This change affected a few other roles as well. JJ Cohen was up for the role of Biff, but he wasn't seen as imposing enough next to Stoltz (who is quite a bit taller than Michael) and so Cohen ended up playing one of Biff's gang (he's the one who makes fun of Marty's jacket). Also Melora Hardin (who later played Jan on "The Office") was supposed to play Jennifer, but when Michael took over, she was seen as too tall next to him and replaced with Claudia Wells.
Probably better for Stoltz’s health, too, since he had just about reached the end of Thomas Wilson’s patience with him, and his “method acting” antics on set. Wilson is a nice, easygoing dude, so that should be a sign of how insufferable Stoltz was being.
That was an awesome reaction! I seen this movie 3 times in the movie theater when it was released in 1985, the last time with my late brother, and it became one of his favorite movies that he would watch quite often on video. I miss him everyday. Anyways, I'm gonna recommend another classic, this one even older from 1946, but I know you would really enjoy it. It's considered a Christmas movie, but you can watch it anytime. It is ranked at #20 on the American Film Institutes list of the 100 Greatest movies ever made, and #1 on its list of the most inspirational American films of all time. The movie is called "It's A Wonderful Life", starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. I just know you will love it, and I hope you can do a reaction to it. Either way, I subscribed! Peace
I saw this movie in the theaters. Their are so many scenes that really had audience have a ball.The whole thing with the mom, haha.The whole theater applauded when mcfly finally knocked biff out,and the scene when he over plays the guitar and the he opens eyes and they just looking at him,hilarious. The DeLorean cars became popular at this.This movie one of the 1980s classics.
1. As Marty leaves Doc's place heading to school, he passes a Burger King fast food restaurant. IF memory serves correctly, when we meet Marty's brother for the first time, he is wearing a Burger King uniform. 2. When Doc comes back from 30 years in the future at the end, the Mr. Fusion home energy reactor on the back of the DeLorean was a play on the Mr. Coffee maker which was highly popular at that time. 3. My opinion only here but the reason the clock exploded was because Doc wrapped the cable around the clock hand to zipline down. Originally it was only connected from the lightning rod at the top of the courthouse to the lamp post at the street. Look back at Doc's "crude" model. Everything in the movie had it's purpose. I could be way off on that one but no way to ever know for sure.
The opening scene is arguably the greatest, smoothest approach to a movie plot and its main characters (and Doc isn't even in the scene, only his voice!) in the history of movies.
Doesn't look like anybody has mention the name of the mall changing from "Twin Pines" to "Lone Pine". It's because he ran over one of the pine trees at the beginning.
A classic film. And a movie that established Michael J Fox as a star. And a ton of fun. Is it the deepest movie ever made? Nope. But you can't help but smile while watching it.

Hi Kayla! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Parts 2 & 3 are necessary to complete the saga, and they're just as good as this one. It'll be fun to catch up on more classic films with you. There's so many great ones. The IMDB top 100 film list is a good reference. I don't know what you've already seen, but a trip through Quentin Tarantino's films would be great starting with Pulp Fiction. Jaws and Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind are great from Steven Spielberg. The Silence of the Lambs is a personal favorite. American Graffiti by George Lucas is a fun classic. Blade Runner by Ridley Scott is a classic sci-fi, and The Gladiator is great too. Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, and The Departed by Martin Scorsese. Then of course there's Stanley Kubrick's films like 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, and Full Metal Jacket. Apocalypse Now and The Godfather series by Francis Ford Coppola... So many more! I'm looking forward to what you react to next. 🥂

My suspicion is that the clocks at Doc's house went on his first time travel experiment and that is why they are all uniformly wrong. Other parts of this theory do not make sense because it seems like if that was the case Doc would have known it but in the phone call to Marty he seems surprised and pleased.

Its been known in the film industry as the perfect movie and used in college film making courses. Producers Bob Gale and Robert Zemetkis have said there will never another sequel while they're alive and rumor has it that it's written in their wills.... 😊

I hope that along the way as you react to the old blockbusters and the older classics you will find the courage to explore some of the lesser known, but very good u pique and original movies that are out there. Certain actors are worth watching in almost every movie they made. Jack Nicholson is one and 8f course Boggie and Becall. Tome Cruise also, and a lesser known Ethan Hawk. There are others of course but those are several that come to mind. The "Before ..." trilogy is unique. Three movies spawning almost 30 years with the main characters as we drop in on them roughly every 10 years or so for a slice of their lives. Never been done before.
Love this movie since I was a child. I've been working on the universal movie lot over 20 years..I inspect and clean film before we remaster it. I go to the city and western backdrop on lunch break on a bike almost every day and just chill by the clock tower and other areas..it's still there but on the outside it looks different I think when they did ghost whisperer, among other shows to make the area look different. The original clock tower and pillars are still there though inside. They just covered the front with a different look. I love just relaxing there or the western town thinking of all the history and appreciating where I work. Honestly never noticed the mom how drunk she was in the beginning drinking vodka..she looked wasted and depressed..the good old 80s..getting drunk in front of the kids and smoking cigs at the dinner table lol...love your channel. You are very intelligent and pretty, and you have a relaxing voice ❤

Theyre very very few trilogies that can say they're the best but the Back to The Future trilogy is by far by many people one of the best trilogies in cinema history. Enjoy the rest of the series. 😃
Great reaction as always! I was 12 when this came out, and it was one of the Important movies of my childhood. You said it, the various threads woven throughout the film have a very satisfying conclusion. The dialogue, acting, and music ain't bad either!
Well you have of course to finish the trilogy of "Back to the Future", especially the 3rd one is really good. I would also recommend "Trading Places" and then "Coming to America (there is an "Easter Egg" in the movie but you have to watch first the other movie to understand/notice)" if you havent seen them yet, they are with Eddy Murphy and very good. For Thrillers with twists I would highly recommend "The Game" and "Shutter Island". Other classics you shouldnt miss out are "Karate Kid (NOT the new one)" and "Twins (with Arnold Schwarzenegger, its a Comedy and surprisingly super good)". Karate Kid isnt just about martial arts, you will like it. Anyways I could flood you with good recommendations but I should keep it somewhat short so God bless. EDIT: Ive seen you watched "Indiana Jones 1", you really cant miss out on "Indiana Jones - The Last Crusade" which is the 3rd one and super good.
Besides the rest of the BTTF trilogy, I would like to recommend the following fun time travel movies: "Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home" (1986); "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1988); and "The Spirit of '76" (1990).

So, I definitely recommend that you watch Back To The Future Parts 2 and 3, because the overall story is one of the most satisfying in all movie history. And, for a further recommendation, why not try out Star Trek?

I just noticed, after George punched Biff, Lorraine completely forgot about Calvin. Who as far as she knew, was being curb-stomped in the back alley.

At the audition, Marty is deemed too darn loud. At the Enchantment Under The Sea dance, he was deemed too darn wild (and too loud by Strickland’s response). Marty is just not a mid kind of guy. 😄
1. Cranky principal Strickland/James Tolkan also played the ship's squadron leader in "Top Gun".
2. The teacher that tells Marty, "Hold it fellas, I'm afraid you're just too darn loud" is Huey Lewis himself. "Heart of rock and roll" etc. They were playing a HL song.
3. Eric Stoltz was first cast as Marty, but he didn't play well with others and wasn't giving the tone they were looking for. fired. Some of his long shots are still in the movie.
4. The flammable material set on fire with the model exercise had to have been put there on purpose. Movie magic.
5. It's always fun to see how people react to the Marty and his mom car scene.
6. George McFly/Crispin Glover didn't like that the story ended with the family being prosperous. DA🙄
7. Twin Pines Mall becomes Lone Pine Mall when Marty takes one of Mr. Peabody's pines out when he goes back to 1955.
8. IMVHO part II is my favorite of the trifecta.
9. If you want a first time/share of an OUTSTANDING movie where Christopher Lloyd can play anything. He plays the heavy you must do "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

It's not just good, it's a masterpiece. The moment George finally stands up to Biff , ,no matter how many times I watch it always gets me a little teary eyed, "I am your destiny" and of course, he was.
in the theater in 1985, we all laughed loud when we saw the Delorean Car...it was a real car, failed car company.
Loraine got a George who protects her, but the things that shows they're really meant to be together is that she also protected him, she intervened when Biff was about to break his arm.
I'ts a pleasure to rewatch this with you. It's a great trilogy. Good luck with your channel!

My favourite movie
One of the perfect screenplays. There were a lot of popular movies in the 80s; many are forgotten except by old guys like me. This one never has been forgotten, for the reasons you state in your conclusion.

Little bit of movie trivia: back when the movie was still in pre-production, the ending was completely different and involved a complicated sequence including a roadtrip to Nevada where nuclear bomb testing was going on at the time, and they would harvest the energy of an atomic bomb explosion to send Marty back to 1985. That didn't pan out for special effects budgetary reasons and possibly other stuff too, so instead the idea formed of the current ending, and then they could tie the ending back to the beginning of the movie with the 1985 clock tower to form a great circle and keep everything contained to their small town set, which is just so much better overall.
If they'd had more money and gone with the Nevada ending, I don't think this movie would have had nearly the impact it has had. It would probably have done well and been remembered, but the harmony of beginning meeting the end meeting the beginning - it just can't be matched.
Fun trivia: in the first scenes, Doc calls Marty and asks to meet him at Twin Pines Mall. Marty subsequently travels to the past, escapes the mad pine farmer's gunfire and runs over a pine in the process, more complications ensue, then he returns to 1985. Watch the glowing sign at the mall as Marty comes running on foot to save Doc from the terrorists...! :DDD
Fun trivia II: California Raisins bought a product placement in the movie, and what they got for their cash was their logo on the backrest of the bench where the drunken hobo sleeps in the 1985 version of Hill Valley (which is a ridiculous name for a town, but anyway...) Of course, they weren't too happy about that lol, so they sued the movie production! I don't remember what happened after that, they probably settled out of court for something comparatively minor, then Zemeckis, Spielberg and crew went back to laughing maniacally and rolling in the piles of money their movie was bringing in. :)
Conclusion:
Back in the day, BttF was a kids' movie that was also for adults - with some appropriately 1980s-style adult themes, like the chronically depressed alcoholic mother, the peeping tom dad, Biff the molesting bully (played by whatsisname, Tom Wilson, isn't it? Anyway, GREAT guy, nice, super funny guy IRL - couldn't be further from Biff in the movie), and some implied incest themes just for kicks, because the 1980s was a mad, mad decade. So anyway, the kids got to have their fun, and their parents got to remember being teens in the 1950s, and now the 1980s kids have grown up and had their kids, and have had their go at being nostalgic about the 1980s scenes! :D

Silly observation that maybe no-one will care about except me: When Marty says, "You made a time machine.... out of a DeLorean?" It was actually a really big laugh line at the movie theater in 1985. At that time, the 'DeLorean scandal' was just a few years old (1982) when the founder of the DeLorean Motor Company, Jon DeLorean, was charged with cocaine trafficking and the company went defunct (he was trying to save the company by making a big cocaine deal worth 24 million). Today, a DeLorean is considered to be a cool, innovative and classic machine (not the least because of its decades of 'Back to the Future' fame - and there are no laughs when Marty delivers that line.
And I wonder if the Cybertruck was inspired by this movie and the DeLorian.
The car was a failure before the cocaine aspect. A defunct car was the real joke.

23:24 I've seen this movie so many times, but just noticed something on the wall, to the upper left: the name Ron Woodward for senior class president.
At first, I thought of Woodward and Bernstein, the journalists who uncovered the Watergate scandal... but that's Bob, not Ron. Anyway, it turns out someone named Ron Woodward worked behind the scenes in this movie as a key grip, one of the senior roles among the lighting, electrical and all the technical tasks involved in the filmmaking, allowing the director to concentrate on the artistic stuff.
I loved this one. But... the second is great also and the third one will absolutely blow you away!! For real.

you recap at the end is exactly spot on in my opinion. i had so much fun rewatching it and miss that feeling in current entertainment.
I grew up in the '50's so I remember it well, but over time, there were incremental changes that accumulated unnoticed. Watching this movie in 1985, it was a shock all the way through to be presented with the vast differences. The movie captured so many nuances of how these two time periods would clash. If I was teaching American history, I would show my class this movie and It's A Wonderful Life and then talk in great detail all the elements of past society.
Robert Zemeckis directed this movie and a few years later, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Both focus on the same theme, although in a totally different way. For centuries, people lived, worked, and played as close to the center of town as possible. As the car culture took hold in America, after WWII, there was a wholesale overturning of society's goals, with the life of the town/city moving out to the suburbs, leaving the bustling downtown the neglected "inner city." It was only in the 1980's the people began to realize in many ways this was a mistake.
Michael J Fox was always their first choice to play Marty, but he was initially busy with a popular 80's sitcom called "Family Ties" (where he was the breakout star) and couldn't do it.
So they cast another actor named Eric Stoltz. After a few weeks, however, it was clear that Stoltz wasn't working out. He was giving a dramatic performance in what was supposed to be a comedy. They ended up having to let Stoltz go, and pleased with the producers of "Family Ties" to let Michael do the movie.
The compromise they worked out was that Michael would work on the show by day and shoot the movie at night. That's why so much of the film takes place either at night or indoors.
This change affected a few other roles as well. JJ Cohen was up for the role of Biff, but he wasn't seen as imposing enough next to Stoltz (who is quite a bit taller than Michael) and so Cohen ended up playing one of Biff's gang (he's the one who makes fun of Marty's jacket). Also Melora Hardin (who later played Jan on "The Office") was supposed to play Jennifer, but when Michael took over, she was seen as too tall next to him and replaced with Claudia Wells.
I like Eric Stoltz a lot, Some Kind of Wonderful is one of my favorite movies, but they absolutely made the right decision casting Michael J. Fox.
Probably better for Stoltz’s health, too, since he had just about reached the end of Thomas Wilson’s patience with him, and his “method acting” antics on set. Wilson is a nice, easygoing dude, so that should be a sign of how insufferable Stoltz was being.
For someone who hasn't seen it, your very observant. Your spotting things some didn't spot even after multiple viewings.....
That was an awesome reaction! I seen this movie 3 times in the movie theater when it was released in 1985, the last time with my late brother, and it became one of his favorite movies that he would watch quite often on video. I miss him everyday.
Anyways, I'm gonna recommend another classic, this one even older from 1946, but I know you would really enjoy it. It's considered a Christmas movie, but you can watch it anytime. It is ranked at #20 on the American Film Institutes list of the 100 Greatest movies ever made, and #1 on its list of the most inspirational American films of all time. The movie is called
"It's A Wonderful Life", starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. I just know you will love it, and I hope you can do a reaction to it. Either way, I subscribed!

I saw this movie in the theaters. Their are so many scenes that really had audience have a ball.The whole thing with the mom, haha.The whole theater applauded when mcfly finally knocked biff out,and the scene when he over plays the guitar and the he opens eyes and they just looking at him,hilarious. The DeLorean cars became popular at this.This movie one of the 1980s classics.
Honestly, I have never seen anyone predict the events of this movie with such amazing accuracy. So impressive! Sure you never saw it before ..? ;-)
1. As Marty leaves Doc's place heading to school, he passes a Burger King fast food restaurant. IF memory serves correctly, when we meet Marty's brother for the first time, he is wearing a Burger King uniform. 2. When Doc comes back from 30 years in the future at the end, the Mr. Fusion home energy reactor on the back of the DeLorean was a play on the Mr. Coffee maker which was highly popular at that time. 3. My opinion only here but the reason the clock exploded was because Doc wrapped the cable around the clock hand to zipline down. Originally it was only connected from the lightning rod at the top of the courthouse to the lamp post at the street. Look back at Doc's "crude" model. Everything in the movie had it's purpose. I could be way off on that one but no way to ever know for sure.
The opening scene is arguably the greatest, smoothest approach to a movie plot and its main characters (and Doc isn't even in the scene, only his voice!) in the history of movies.

A classic film. And a movie that established Michael J Fox as a star. And a ton of fun. Is it the deepest movie ever made? Nope. But you can't help but smile while watching it.

Hi Kayla! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. Parts 2 & 3 are necessary to complete the saga, and they're just as good as this one. It'll be fun to catch up on more classic films with you. There's so many great ones. The IMDB top 100 film list is a good reference. I don't know what you've already seen, but a trip through Quentin Tarantino's films would be great starting with Pulp Fiction. Jaws and Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind are great from Steven Spielberg. The Silence of the Lambs is a personal favorite. American Graffiti by George Lucas is a fun classic. Blade Runner by Ridley Scott is a classic sci-fi, and The Gladiator is great too. Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, and The Departed by Martin Scorsese. Then of course there's Stanley Kubrick's films like 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Dr. Strangelove, and Full Metal Jacket. Apocalypse Now and The Godfather series by Francis Ford Coppola... So many more! I'm looking forward to what you react to next. 🥂

My suspicion is that the clocks at Doc's house went on his first time travel experiment and that is why they are all uniformly wrong. Other parts of this theory do not make sense because it seems like if that was the case Doc would have known it but in the phone call to Marty he seems surprised and pleased.

Its been known in the film industry as the perfect movie and used in college film making courses. Producers Bob Gale and Robert Zemetkis have said there will never another sequel while they're alive and rumor has it that it's written in their wills.... 😊

I hope that along the way as you react to the old blockbusters and the older classics you will find the courage to explore some of the lesser known, but very good u pique and original movies that are out there. Certain actors are worth watching in almost every movie they made. Jack Nicholson is one and 8f course Boggie and Becall. Tome Cruise also, and a lesser known Ethan Hawk. There are others of course but those are several that come to mind. The "Before ..." trilogy is unique. Three movies spawning almost 30 years with the main characters as we drop in on them roughly every 10 years or so for a slice of their lives. Never been done before.

Love this movie since I was a child. I've been working on the universal movie lot over 20 years..I inspect and clean film before we remaster it. I go to the city and western backdrop on lunch break on a bike almost every day and just chill by the clock tower and other areas..it's still there but on the outside it looks different I think when they did ghost whisperer, among other shows to make the area look different. The original clock tower and pillars are still there though inside. They just covered the front with a different look. I love just relaxing there or the western town thinking of all the history and appreciating where I work. Honestly never noticed the mom how drunk she was in the beginning drinking vodka..she looked wasted and depressed..the good old 80s..getting drunk in front of the kids and smoking cigs at the dinner table lol...love your channel. You are very intelligent and pretty, and you have a relaxing voice ❤

I've never seen a reactor who is so perceptive. This is considered one of the great movie scripts of all time, and you were one step ahead of it from start to finish.

Theyre very very few trilogies that can say they're the best but the Back to The Future trilogy is by far by many people one of the best trilogies in cinema history. Enjoy the rest of the series. 😃

Watched this when it was new in the theater and, I love it right away. On my list, I place this in the top 100 movies of all time (smile ... smile).

Well you have of course to finish the trilogy of "Back to the Future", especially the 3rd one is really good. I would also recommend "Trading Places" and then "Coming to America (there is an "Easter Egg" in the movie but you have to watch first the other movie to understand/notice)" if you havent seen them yet, they are with Eddy Murphy and very good.
For Thrillers with twists I would highly recommend "The Game" and "Shutter Island".
Other classics you shouldnt miss out are "Karate Kid (NOT the new one)" and "Twins (with Arnold Schwarzenegger, its a Comedy and surprisingly super good)". Karate Kid isnt just about martial arts, you will like it.
Anyways I could flood you with good recommendations but I should keep it somewhat short so God bless.
EDIT: Ive seen you watched "Indiana Jones 1", you really cant miss out on "Indiana Jones - The Last Crusade" which is the 3rd one and super good.
Besides the rest of the BTTF trilogy, I would like to recommend the following fun time travel movies: "Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home" (1986); "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1988); and "The Spirit of '76" (1990).
I was a child when I saw this movie on TV at the sweet 90's. George McFly is my fav character.

So, I definitely recommend that you watch Back To The Future Parts 2 and 3, because the overall story is one of the most satisfying in all movie history. And, for a further recommendation, why not try out Star Trek?
