After seeing your video a couple of years ago I'm finally making an outdoor arch! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. And true, I couldn't find a flange here in the UK 😂.
I started doing balloons for self care, it's just one of my crazy hobbies. My kids school quickly caught on, I can actually make pretty cool stuff with a big help from watching your videos. Now I get to practice the balloon art almost every month, have the materials paid for by them and in exchange they get beautiful creations. It's a win win in my book. Your videos are amazing, very easy to follow and I just rceived your book! Thanks for being awesome ❤
omg ! I appreciate you sweating out there. You are truly amazing. Thank you for sharing your gift. I really appreciate it. I volunteered to help decorate a 5th grade promotion ceremony and this came up. Now I have an idea. Thanks!
Love, love, love your videos, they are fun and very easy to follow steps on achieving what I’m trying to do. Thanks for also putting this video out in that scorching heat. 😎🙌🏼🎈
Hi Sandi!! I'm a subscriber and I found. this video in the nick of time!! I wanted to do an indoor balloon arch for my grandson's 10th birthday. We want to make is as special as we can, because this DANG VIRUS is stopping him from having his tons of friends over for a party!!! I've already made your base, I have my 5' poles, and I'm just running out to get the PEX and the balloons!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR CREATIVITY AND TALENT WITH US ALL!!!! Valerie
I love your video tutorials because you;re so down to earth thorough but, most of all you're funny Thank you so much! I'll save my fishing line for something else 👏👏👏👏👏😍🥰
Hi it a shame you have retired because your work is amazing and I have learned a lot from you and your video over the years but hope you are well and stay safe.🎈🙂
Thank you!! Im going to attempt this on Saturday for a party! Would using a 9inch balloon work too? Or would you still suggest the 11inch so there is more room when deflating it to 6.5inch?
Thanks for the great tips, I will practice this way. I learned a different way from Dante and Eduardo and now want to try this way. Looks very interesting Thank you
I love this video. I am creating my first outdoor standing arch and this video has been so helpful. I picked up my items from Lowes. What kind of balloons are you using for outside? Or recommend?
For outdoors you may want to look at tuftex balloons. They seem to hold up well outdoors. Qualatex is the brand that I use the most. Betallic is also good. The main thing is to underinflate them. Do no fill up all the way, keep them good and squishy. :-)
So I'm finally about to make this and I'm excited I always watch the other one but this one is super helpful too! My question you said the emt is 3.5ft now I know you said you're short but those poles seem to be towering over you is the emt actually maybe 5ft? And if so would you do that for a wide arch too?
For a wide arch you want the smaller poles, that's why I misspoke in the video I think- I do the wider arches more often. The reason you don't want the emt taller than 3.5' or so is because of the way the wide arch will bend. :~)
If you do the 1/2” EMT pipe, would a 3/4” pex pipe work? Instead of taping the pex to the EMT pipe? That way the pex would go over the EMT? What is your suggestion?
Hey Lisa. I am no expert but your right if you get a 1/2 inch EMT and a 3/4 inch per or PVC then it will slide right into it. Then duck tape diagonally to hold it in. That's what you want ideally. Good luck!
Ong I’m so glad I saw this , I’ve been with you from beginning your awesome 👏🏽 thanks my fingers are hurting so bad, I’ve just done my biggest install and I’m more familiar with classic designs. Still struggling with organic lol 😂
Heya Sandi! I'm a brand-spanking new wedding and events planner who's just been asked to create a balloon arch for the first time. My question is, do you think it's worth investing in these materials (automatic balloon inflater, base materials, etc) if I'm not going to be doing balloon work full time?
I really can't answer that question for you. If you're going to do it more than a few times I would def say yes, as the time you save will make up for the cost. If you're only going to do it once or twice, then you would be better off building some relationships with local balloon people to do that piece for you. :~)
I always go back to take down the jobs. That way we know that the balloons are properly disposed of and we get the frames back. We charge a set up/ strike fee to cover that service. :~)
Sandy really enjoyed the video and I love going shopping with you. My question is I would like to invest in a balloon blower/inflator with sizer please let me know the best inflator for a business to invest in.
Thanks for this tutorial! I was just going to squish balloons together without the center pole, but I was scared it would fall over if there wasn't enough pressure between the columns. Im definitely going to try your way with the arch pole in the middle! How do you get your 11" down to 6.5" without getting that "nipple" or "spot" on the balloon top? (Hope you know what I mean.)
Some balloons are more prone to the nipple than others. I generally use Qualatex balloons, and they seem to do pretty well at not having that nipple. I hope your arch was a huge success and come join my beginning balloon professionals group on facebook and show it off :~)

What inch thickness did you use for the emt pole

Love all your videos.

I never use 9" balloons. Especially if this will be outdoors, you want the extra "squish" factor :~)
@@SandiMasoriPresents good to know! Thank you!
Sandi when I use 11 or 12 balloon for Arch. What size balloon is best outdoor and inside What size please. Xx
A couple of zip ties on each end covered with duct tape makes things a little neater! Thanks for sharing!
Great tip!
This is extremely beautiful
Thanks for the great tips, I will practice this way. I learned a different way from Dante and Eduardo and now want to try this way. Looks very interesting

Thanks! I'd love to see how Dante and Eduardo do it- there are so many ways up the mountain :~)

Hi girl!!! Tell me please. What aré you using to attach the quads?
Awesomeness!!!!
Excellent tutorial! How big our the plywood cuts? Also do you make them smaller or bigger for the arches?
Thank you! The baseplates are cut to 2' x 2'. That's my standard size for most applications.
@@SandiMasoriPresents thank you sooo much!

Awww thank you! Give me a call and we can talk about what that would look like :~)

If someone wanted to do a 40' arch, in total from one side to the other, how many 6" ballons would you need? It's for a pride event in florida.
Love your balloon columns and arches etc!!! What size and type of screws or bolts used in the flange to secure to the plywood?
Thanks! Ask at the hardware store because the screws need to be the right depth for the wood that you use. :-)
Thank you!
How do I avoid having a dark patch at the center of the balloon when I inflate 11 inch balloons to a smaller size (like 6 inch)
With this base, would you go back and get them? Or do you add it in the client's pricing and they can discard after the event?
Great question was gonna an the same thing

Sandy really enjoyed the video and I love going shopping with you. My question is I would like to invest in a balloon blower/inflator with sizer please let me know the best inflator for a business to invest in.
Thanks! Well like I said in the video, I couldn't live without my Conwin Precision Air - it will save you a ton of time, but is an investment.
Thank you so much
Love ur energy thank u
awww thanks! :~)
How far in advance do you inflate balloons before the event? I am wondering if we can build a balloon arch the night before a morning event.
You can inflate air-filled balloons a couple of days in advance- even a week or so if you bag them up :~)

Love you teaching skills Sandi ❤ Karen from Ireland 🇮🇪
Thank you.
You're welcome! :-)
Does the plywood need to be treated?
If you live in a really wet place, it's prob a good idea, but since I'm in San Diego, I don't know much about weather ;~)
How many balloons per arch??
Thank you love your videos 👌🤗 you awesome
awww thank you so much! :-)
For the emt is it 3/4" as well?
I’m trying to figure this out too ! I got 3/4 but it doesn’t go into the nipple so I’m wondering if i should get thinner
I appreciate you
Sandi, this is lovely. Do I have time for an organic arch tutorial?
I have a few organic arch tutorials on my channel... here you go... th-cam.com/video/hn1ylGcchAI/w-d-xo.html
I def hit subscribe at bring ‘‘em down lol
How long would you say this arch is ?
If you stretched it out end to end it's prob about 18-19' or so. :~)
heard the answer. thanks
glad I covered it :~)
Good Evening!
What width was the EMT?
The emt is 1/2" :~)
Thank you for asking this.
So does the emt go inside the nipple?
@@SandiMasoriPresents does the emt go inside the nipple?
What is size of base plate?
2' x 2' :~)
Your awesome
Esta hermoso 👍🏼saludos
gracias :-)
IS THIS DURABLE ENOUGH TO HOLD FLOWERS
I've seen people use fishing line to tie balloons together. Why do you prefer to use balloons?
Fishing line puts microtears in the balloons. 260s don't :-)
Bring em dooowwwnnn 😂
literally cannot find a "flange" in any D.I.Y store near me in the uk !! so if anyone finds one please let me know where or a link :) xx
I don't know what it's called in the UK, sorry. Next time I get over there I'll go to a hardware store and figure it out ;~)
@@SandiMasoriPresents no problem thankyou 🙈😂xx

😂😂😂😂😂 I love Sandy thank you for your time for teaching.

How long or big would you say this is ?
probably about 21' linear or so :~)
