    Love your tutorial of how to build this stand ! Do you find that it stand up to regular wind days well? Like doesn’t move or wave alot ?

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So it doesn't wave to the extent that those cheap Amazon stands do. The pvc pipe is more rigid than those thin poles so it doesn't move nearly as much. Left that stand out over night and it was fine. Just make sure it's secured at the bottom.

    How were you able to put the balloons all the way to the bottom and hide the cinder block without them getting in the way also, did you use anything else besides the cinder block?

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  22 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @lorrainekoch5331 I put the cinderblock in the back. If you make the base of the stand wide enough, it should fit the balloons and the blocks

    This is so helpful!! Thank you for the tutorial. May I ask how you price your arches? I am starting out and I have a client wanting a large arch for their outdoor event. Do you have base prices for different arch size? Or charge per foot? I am trying to do research because I am not sure!

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello. For an outdoor arch like this , I start out at $18/ft with an 18ft long minimum

  • @lorrainekoch5331

    Could I do the stands the way you did the stand alone? Just screwing on 4' galvanized steel pipe onto the flange?

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Are you trying to make a balloon arch or a column? If you're making a column, you can get a longer steel pipe (6 ft) and screw it in the flange. If you're trying to make an arch, you need the electrical pvc for support at the top

    • @lorrainekoch5331
      @lorrainekoch5331 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I already made two of the stand-alone columns from your video using 4 ft galvanized steel pipe and 2 10ft white flex pipe. Can I use those stands and buy #2 of the gray pipe to make an arch?

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I tried using the gray electrical pvc pipe, and the hole in the pvc wasn't big enough to go over the steel pipe. The one inch pvc wasn't even big enough for the 3/4 inch steel pipe. Perhaps if you find one over 1inch it might go over but I'd test it first before buying

    What’s the thickness of the wood

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness

    what is sempertex 260 rope that you tied the balloons together with?

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      260q balloons are the long stretchy balloons you make balloon animals out of

  • @jaynguyen7504
    @jaynguyen7504 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very nice! How did you keep the screws in the base from pooping the balloons? Also, how did you cover the cinder block with balloons? If the cinder blocks were removed, what did you use to weigh it down?

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks. The cinder blocks are in the back of the base. If your base is big enough you'll have room to fit the cinderblocks on there with the balloons. There are other weights you can use. For example, weights from dumbbells. You can slip them onto the base before putting the pvc pipe onto the emt pipe. Just be careful when putting the bottom quad of balloons on the base to make sure the balloons don't rub against the screws.

    • @valsballoonsandbusiness
      @valsballoonsandbusiness  ปีที่แล้ว +2
