    Hi Sandi, excellent step by step guide! I've just recently started making balloon garlands and your videos have helped me a great deal. Questions: what are the pros and cons of using the 260 balloons to loop and tie the balloons versus pros and cons of fishing line? Do you prefer one over the other? Many thanks Sandi!

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fishing line can cause friction tears which will cause a slow leak. With the 260s it's latex to latex, so no friction burns :~) On the other hand, the 260s can stretch and break, so that's why I add a line of dacron through it at the end. :~)

    Hi. Sandi how. Would i. Transport the. Garland you have made. Here. Or would i. Have to. Blow them up. On site. Like you. Did.?

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on the size of the garland you would need to rent a van or a moving truck. We don't usually inflate them on site as I generally prefer to spend as little time on site as possible, but this event was an exception as it was an early morning job and we had the whole night on site :-)

    Sandy can you use ribbon (curling) to secure the garland also? Also how many balloons did this garland take to make?

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't suggest using curling ribbon. It doesn't have any stretch and can put friction tears in the balloons which can cause a slow leak.

    • @SandiMasoriPresents

    Thank you for sharing just wondering would you still get an organic look attaching smaller balloons 🎈 on to your duplex when attaching them together to make quads? You also mention 11 inch balloons yes? I know they come in 12” but you are using 11 inch balloons blowing them up to capacity and rounding them or just using 12”’balloons and blowing them up to 11 capacity and rounding and can we use different sizes staring with the method you are teaching this evening including attaching a large balloon on to the garland ( that balloon that’s usually at the end of the garland) i hope you understood what I’m trying to say 😊

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use 11" balloons that are sized to 8" or smaller to keep them nice and round. You want to underinflate the balloons to keep the round shape. I've found that when you try to use the 5" balloons in the main garland, they just kinda disappear and then you're going to need to layer something in anyway. As for the larger 16" and 3' balloons, you add them in the same way that you add the extra pieces of garland, or the 5" balloons :~)

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably best to use a matching color so it blends, but having said that I'll admit that sometimes I just use whatever is around. As for getting better at tying... practice, practice, practice ;~)

    Sandi, do you use any other hooks instead of Command hooks or Clik-Clik to attach the garland to walls. I've always been skeptical that when using Command Hooks there is a chance that paint or material will come off with it and I will have to pay for the damage to the venue or my clients home. I understand and have used Clik-Clik.

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you can't use command hooks, and there's no way to rig by tying onto something else, then you have to frame it.

    do you always use the 260s? Ive seen alot of others use fishing line. which is better?

    • @SandiMasoriPresents
      @SandiMasoriPresents  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 260s instead of fishing line because the fishing line can put tiny friction tears in the balloons that cause slow leaks. With the 260 it's latex to latex so less friction. :-)

    Ok so you’re using 260’s in place of string or fishing line? When you tie them together how many times do you tie them? I’d be afraid they’d come undone. But so snug.

  • @RockinEventsandBalloonDecor09

    Why are these called "organic" ? Is it because they are different sizes? Less uniform?
