It was one of those perfect days as we set off on our Bonaventure Island adventure, with brilliant weather showing us first the beauty of Percé rock, with its huge sheer rock formation, being one of the world's largest natural arches located in water, appearing from a distance like a ship under sail.
Then onto Bonaventure Island a migratory bird sanctuary, with one of the largest and most accessible bird sanctuaries in the world, with 200,000 birds nesting on the island, including 110,000 northern gannets.

It reminds me so much the day I spent on Bonaventure Island…we passed at the same places . In 2020 there was no tours around the island because of covid but we could go on the island . Hélène stayed at the campground that day because she has arthritis in her left knee and is not good for long hikes …and now in 2022 she is on a waiting list to have a new left knee .
You make very nice videos and it’s to bad that you aren’t having the views you would deserve. I will look into your channel for sure …I love the way you capture and edit with lovely music .

Thank you for your kind comments. I do hope that Helene is able to get her new knee soon. I think many places are struggling to cope with the demand on services. I know that in some of our hospitals there are still elevated numbers of Covid patients delaying treatments. What annoys many is that 90% of those needing treatment for Covid are not vaccinated. It does look as if we might get away soon as we aim to visit Malta in two weeks time and Madeira a couple of weeks after that. Hopefully this will be a return to some sort of normality. Take care.

I do hope you will be able to go on vacation and that you won’t be restricted where you will be and that many services and restaurants will be open .

Well, that was REALLY cool. I've said it before, and probably will again, but your cinematography is really top shelf. Love the way to captured the arch and all the sea birds nesting and flying. You either have a great zoom lens, or that was really close you got to those gannets. Beautiful.
Thankyou, It was one of those special days you get now and again. My camera has a reasonable zoom on it, but we where able to get really close to the birds from viewing platforms dotted about. The island is best place I've ever visited for viewing such a huge colony of nesting birds.
