Another fun fact, Gwyndolin and Gwynevere probably have the most unhinged comment sections on the Dark Souls wikis. If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe for more content like this. Thanks for watching!
Kind of crazy how he was so devoted at maintaining the illusion of his family's former power despite the fact they all abandon him. Gwyndolin to me seems a rather tragic character forced to be raised as a daughter due to being born under the moon and the fact that gwyn banished his first son and proceeded to wipe him from history since he supported dragons which probably didnt help. He was abandoned by every member of his family and appears to be the only member whose truly disfigured and frail in a way besides yorshka whose the only family member who didn't abandon him. He inherits the ruins of Gwyn's former kingdom. The 4 knights are gone, his fathers allies during the war against dragons have gone recluse or been driven mad, and more humans/undead are converging in mass on lordran by the day all the while the darkwraiths and kaathe try to win them to their side. All this to succmb to internal treachery by falling ill than being devoured by the dark souls vore enthusiast known as Aldrich while the only family member who loved and stayed by him is unaware of his painful fate. I can't help but feel bad for Gwyndolin.
Absolutely, tragic. Gwyndolin can't catch a break and then dies in the one of the most messed up ways in all of Soulsborne in DS3. I made a bad pun about it but that death... man
@@superbrainz2357 oh yeah that's the worst part. Being slowly eaten alive, feet first. And the consumer has control over your body as it happens. Horrifying. It does add another layer of bittersweet satisfaction to winning that boss fight though, being able to end that suffering
@@rickytebbe Yeah and maybe for the better the ashen one just decides to not tell yorshka about his cruel fate. The regret that I was such a souls noob that I didn't do the anri and horace questline to help slay Aldrich nakes me want to redo it after I finish ds2 again.
Apparently there's cut content where the Ashen one brings one one of Gywndolin's fingers to her. I'm glad that was cut. Oh yeah, for sure do it. Definitely worth experiencing. Enjoy DS2!

@@rickytebbe It gets even worse when you realize you can hear groans during the aldrich fight implying he's still alive while you're fighting him.

bro i've been watching your vids, and you be saying the realest shits about this game.
Thanks man!
DS1 had a femboy with religious trauma and (in universe) tech savviness before it was cool.
My genuine fav DS character
Mine too, honestly.
Im continually reminded how absolutely fucked up dark souls 3 is
Some days, Aldrich singlehandedly makes me wish I knew less about DS3 lore
DS3 Anor Londo has the same vibes as Berserk's Eclipse. A fat, sweet and juicy treat of Trauma waiting to happen.
Great content man, keep it up!
Thanks so much! I will
ah our favourite souls femboy
Hahaha.
He was like Andrew Tate pretending to be an egirl
