Love the muffin making segment. Seems the kids know the routine - bench, babies (one on the back and one on the hip), older kids learn math by measuring ingredients, mom mixes with one hand 😂. Great episode! Glad you showed up in my feed.

Omgoshness! When I saw you lick the milk jar to clean up the edge, I died! Thanks for keeping it real. I know some folks will lose their minds by seeing that but I’m so thankful to see in a video what most busy moms do in their own homes when nobody’s looking. Great tips. Love your channel.
I LOVE how amazing this homestead life is, while seeing Costco sugar or other store items. It’s a reminder that we can do amazing things and make the most of our meals from scratch, but it’s also okay and normal to need to buy things at the store.
Yes! I'm super thankful to get a few staples from the store while still being mindful about what we put into our bodies and growing as much as possible! Thanks for watching!
I have big German boys who never have issues finishing anyone’s plates, ever since they were young. But they are healthy smackers too. Fruits nuts and homemade trail mix most of the time. I tried the refined snacks on my 3rd when I got very sick and she hard beyond horrible dental issues. The top two not a cavity. For my next sets I learned quickly. Large family of homesteaders here. Great to find your channel!
I weaned my toddler off snacks also. And if he is hungry before a meal is ready, I give him grapes, muester cheese, bananas or peanuts. I bought a board made of olive wood, where I keep his peanuts on so he may enjoy them. He has become better at eating as I gave up on snacks. It's nice to see someone who does this also.
You just showed up randomly in my feed today and I consider it a lucky thing. I'm subbing, but to be honest, I'm not sure how often I'll actually watch since your content isn't really my thing. (68, live alone and grandkids are a thousand miles away, don't live on a homestead, can't grow my own food though I do some herbs and cherry tomatoes) But I was so impressed with you and your approach to snacking. I agree if you teach your children to eat their three nutritionally sound meals per day, there shouldn't really be any need for snacks except very occasionally and as a special treat. I'm thrilled to say my daughter feels the same way and gets quite indignant about how people feed poison into their children. I think she has it right when she says it's yet another way for parents to simply not interact and "deal" with their children. If their children want attention, rather than stopping to attend to that real need or redirecting them into a healthy activity, these moms respond with, "Would you like a snack?" Or "Grab a snack and play on your tablet!" which encourages two unhealthy behaviors - using food to solve problems that aren't hunger and inactivity. I like your approach - getting the kids involved. As adults, we feel like things taste better if someone else fixes them for us, but kids feel the opposite. They LOVE food they've had a hand in creating even if it's marginal! 😂 Sorry - I'm rambling! I wish I could blame it on my age, but I've been a rambler my whole life! 😊❤
Kids generally need snacks. They have much smaller stomachs so they need to eat more frequently. Even I can’t function on 3 meals a day. I eat smaller meals and need a snack in between. And no, I don’t eat packaged snacks.
@@AandM8 Kids don't need snacks. Especially today's typical kid who gets very little exercise or outdoor time and spends his time with scree screens. This is why we have an obesity epidemic in our country and why children are a fast-growing subset of that obesity problem. Former RN here.
@@Lucinda_Jackson I have never heard of this assumption. As a mom to a 1 year old who’s never been on screens and is outside no less then 2-3 times a day, he grazes ALL day. I have 6 younger siblings and several nieces I watched grow up. They were all outside a lot and they all preferred to graze on food throughout the day. Not a one of them is obese in the slightest. I don’t know one toddler that’s ever just not grazed. It’s totally natural. Personally, the thing I hated most about school was not being allowed to graze. The hours between meals was way too long for me. At least for my toddler, I won’t be restricting food from him. He’s allowed to eat whenever he wants. Of course, we don’t have packaged snacks and he loves fruits and veggies 🤷🏻♀️
@@Lucinda_Jackson oh I totally agree if a kid is sedentary all day, they shouldn’t be grazing on chips all day. But I don’t think restricting food is the way to go. I think the kinds of foods that are offered are far more important coupled with more outdoor time.
Great snack options. I love how you have a toddler on your hip and a baby on your back! And I loved that you licked the drip off the milk jar in true mama style. 😘. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
As a very minimal snacking mom myself its refreshing to see someone else who is like this. Other moms always comment how well my boys eat their meals...well..they dont have unlimited snacks! If someone is hungry but I'm not quiet preparing a meal yet, my boys have a piece of cheese or a yogurt and fruit. Banana is my go to fruit as a snack. Hard boiled eggs are definitely a big hit as well.
Have to say, although I'm 60, with no family but my husband, I enjoyed watching you and the kids make healthy snacks. I've been looking for new ideas to make, and I think yours are wonderful. Thank you for sharing, I'll be trying them myself.....as soon as I go to the grocery store😂🥰😘
Idk why this was suggested to me but I’m happy it was. A newly diagnosed diabetic and staying away from super processed foods these def gave me great snack ideas. Thank you sooooo much. God bless your family and your animals ❣️
Your approach to snacks and nutrition is really healthy & good! It's how many European countries like France approach healthy eating - three solid meals, less processed sugar and nutritious ingredients. Great! 🎉
I make my own granola. I love it as a snack (but I also very much love snacks) Cinnamon Oats Maple syrup Salt Quinoa Chia seeds Flax seeds Coconut oil Coconut flakes Whatever nuts I have, I put in. Ie. Almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, pecans, hemp seeds, cashews, etc Roast 275 about 45 mins I also season and roast chickpeas. Usually I add cumin, salt, cayenne, paprika, nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder and those are also pretty addicting. 😊
Aside from the great info, I really enjoy that while you're filming, the kids are just doing their thing in the background or in the baby carrier. It's very wholesome and natural.
Thank you for being so authentic throughout this video and for sharing these amazing recipes which I babysit to try out. God bless your beautiful family in Jesus name
Totally random video in my feed, probably appeared because I was recently searching Pinterest for non processed snack ideas. My home life is super different than yours, we are always on the go commuting to work / school with teens. But I loved all of your ideas, they’re very approachable for non homesteading families. As far as non processed foods, we love homemade popcorn, you can season it so many ways! Lots of raw veggies, carrots, celery, radishes, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes. Apples, citrus fruit, berries. homemade salsa and homemade hummus or bean dip too. Thanks for sharing
This is so raw and authentic. This is what i want to achieve in life. I’ve recently stopped buying packaged snacks too and educating my kids on food. Real food.❤
I'm not a snacker but I try to help my metabolism so for my families's snacks we love hummus or soft cheeses with bread or carrots. I make black bean dark chocolate brownies; sweet potato/pumpkin/butternut squash chocolate chip muffins; cranberry (or any berry) muffin with protein and collagen powder from Hearthy Foods; homemade jello with Hearthy Foods Gelatin; herbs, greens, and cheese filled hand pies; popcorn; homemade baked chips (veggies), and I love chocolate milk but I like carob even more, so I get carob pods, make syrup and mix it with milk. I am learning to make more bread snacks like crackers and pretzels. At the holidays I also make cookies and cakes, but that's just a few times a year. Your videos are inspirational, thank you!
Thank you for sharing, looking forward to a new way of eating for our grand baby who lives with us full time. Gut health affects mental health. so better to start them off on the right foot.
It’s awesome to see moms that invite their kids into the kitchen to learn some basic cooking and baking skills. Part of why I know how to cook as a young adult is that I was always helping my mom in the kitchen. I’ve been cracking eggs since I was like three or four. I think it sucks when parents shoo their kids out of the kitchen and then are surprised when their kids grow up and don’t know how to cook. So it’s great to see you inviting your kids to help with the muffins. :)
Yes! We've been saying a lot lately that embracing slow is better because it's an investment that will pay off in the long run! Love that you had that experience. Thanks for watching!
I use a turkey baster to fill my gummy molds 😊 I make elderberry gummies for my grandchildren ... and for the rest of us. 😉 - Fermented carrot sticks dipped in homemade guacamole or hummus. - Leftovers (whatever the children didn't eat off their plate from the previous meal). I'm thankful all of my children now do this same thing with their children. - A smoothie - Homemade sourdough and almond butter toast - "Deviled" eggs - Egg, chicken, or salmon salad on sourdough crackers or toast. - Whatever is in the garden Im sure there are more snacks, but that's what came to mind.
@FromScratchFarmstead yes :) I've tried adding other things over the years - like ginger, garlic, etc. - but so far, everyone has liked just carrots the best.
If you craved chocolate it might have been because you were low on magnesium. Cacao powder is raw and unprocessed unlike cocoa. Cocoa is stripped of all the healthy nutrients like magnesium. Since adding cacao powder into my diet to support my iron I no longer crave chocolate.
My son has ADHD and other family members have conditions. And the more I find out what things we can change in our diets to help, the more I am hearing about magnesium. So we are trying to add more magnesium rich foods to our meals. Who knew?
We snack very similarly to you! Gummies are some of our favorites also. If you sprinkle the gelatin over the unheated juice and let it sit for a few minutes it will bloom and when you transfer it to heat, it will dissolve into the juice perfectly and you dont have to bother with whisking it or worry about clumps forming. Makes an easy treat even easier to make!
What a loving mom you are. Cooking healthy food for your family is one of the things I always cherrish because my mom did that for us 5 syblings and my dad❤
I just happened upon your vlog by perusing the menu choices in the far right column. So glad I clicked to watch. Love the idea of making homemade gummies. Those muffins made my mouth water for one. My kids like a stalk of fresh celery smeared with peanut butter and a few raisins added to the peanut butter. We call this snack "ants in a boat". Hard-boiled eggs are also a dandy high protein snack. Your children are darling and such good helpers!
I love the idea of using the blender to mix up batter. Seems much faster and easier to clean up than my countertop mixer or even a bowl and whisk. I learned a new trick thanks!
I love this!I’ve been wanting to get away from buying snacks, but don’t really know where to start - and this Popped up randomly on my feed! Also I was thinking I wanted a glass of chocolate milk while the babies sleep so this video was very timely 😂
I made your muffin recipe and brought them to our homeschooling co-op last week and they all disappeared. I love recipes in the blender (so easy) and that it has all wholesome ingredients. My kids also love boiled eggs. Great video!
We always had snacks when I was a kid in the 60’s ,always like yours nutritious or fruit or veggies. We had a garden and fruit trees so there were always fruit or cucumbers or tomatoes to snack on. After school snack, bedtime snack on the weekends we always had teatime. We all burned alot of calories .
also we make granola every week to either eat as cereal or top on yogurt. Oats and almonds chopped up and coconut flakes and some soft white wheat berries are mixed together and I add maple syrup and honey and coconut oil to hold it all together. add vanilla extract and cinnamon and a dash of salt. Bake it 350 for about 15 minutes stirring halfway. when it comes out I will mix in some raisins or cranberries and chocolate chips. so yummy and filling!
Between last night and tonight, I made the Maple-cinnamon almonds, and the Banana Oat muffins! Both are SOOOOO good, and were SO easy and quick. THANK YOU for sharing!
Wow, you are wonderwoman !! Your feed came up and i just started watching. Im past all those days and now am realizing, how did i do all that ? ( I did not homeschool but did a ton of work. . ). Thanks for sharing the recipes !!
Such a great video! A healthy snack we almost always keep on hand: I make cashew milk(so easy to make!!) and then I make individual jars of chia pudding out of that. After the pudding sets, I top them usually with frozen blueberries or frozen mango and a nut or different kind of seed. Drizzle of honey on top and they are really easy to eat any time of the day❤
Great tips. Thank you for the muffin recipe! We have been loving sourdough freezer waffles. They’re a great way to use up discard and my kids can make one themselves when they’re hungry. Yogurt with granola, sourdough crackers, carrots with homemade hummus, cottage cheese with applesauce, hard boiled eggs are also favorites. Now that my kids are older and play a lot of sports, they always want meat so I’ve been making a bag of marinated steak strips that they can cook on demand.
Thanks for this! I’ve been uneasy about the unhealthy snacks my grands eat and wondering if I could make up some good ones for them to try, and this is giving me a boost!
I like smoothie, frozen fruit, dollop of yogurt and a little milk blended. I freeze the ripe bananas in Ziploc, put in freezer and use them to add as a sweetener.
I love having half an avocado with a half boiled egg in the middle where the stone goes, with salt and pepper on top - Its great for the lunchbox. Also homemade kefir (fermented milk), its fantastic probiotics for your gut health, a more beneficial substitute to yoghurt, and lasts longer in the fridge than milk. Its very easy to ferment.
Really great ideas!! The avocado + egg idea is a great one for when you need a lunch on the go! Thanks for mentioning kefir too! Great nourishing ideas!
I make cinnamon roasted almonds too, but the recipe I use includes egg whites for a bit of an extra crunch. Love the video and how very human it is! Thanks for sharing your lifestyle 👍🏽
Thank you for all your tips! It’s been a struggle in my home because my husband is a major snacker and I am not lol. So with the children we keep lots of fruit and veggies on hand for them to snack on but I’ve been wanting to switch it up and be more intentional! Homemade granola, parfaits, and little bento boxes(especially for car trips) with boiled eggs, cheese cubes and fruit have been a win for us! I can’t wait to try the gummies and muffins you suggested!
The muffin recipe makes an amazing waffle recipe as well!! I added tsp on cinnamon and plant protein powder for the waffles and my kids ate it up! Thanks for sharing your smarts 💡
As a snack, I love to take a medium hard boiled egg, smash it and mix it with crushed peanuts, seeds, other nuts and some soy sauce. Sometimes I also add chilli, but obviously kids would probably prefer it without being spicy. It's truly wonderful, and I like it because I don't enjoy the taste of egg just by itself.
Thank you for these ideas. One thing we love is Chia Seed Pudding. I make it with either heavy cream or chocolate almond milk, a bit of vanilla and maple syrup.
My first video watching and I loved it! Simple lifestyle with focus on home and family makes life richer. Your children are blest. Sharing one of your family days in real life was so enjoyable to watch...I'm going to share this with my daughter who has two young girls, 2 1/2 years and 8 months. She also strives for healthy and nutritious food choices. Will be trying out the snacks you shared. Thanks so much. Looking forward to watching more
Really appreciate this comment! Thank you! We completely agree with what you said about a simple life at home with family. I hope you enjoy the recipes. Thanks for watching and sharing!
Lovely! I just did a dozen eggs and I make them exactly like you do. I have alot of grandchildren coming over this weekend and I also love to have nourishing snacks and food for them.
Homemade hummus with carrot sticks or other cut-up veggies. I also like to make a "snack tray" with cut veggies, fresh or dried fruit, cheese cubes, peanut butter, etc.
Hi, I just found your channel. We have a lot in common, I have three kids 12, 10, and 8. We homeschool, make most of our foods from scratch, such as slow cooking our meats and saving the bones for broth. I make all my breads from scratch using organic hard white wheat flour. I make a lot of quick breads for the kids breakfast such as spiced pumpkin bread, yogurt bread sticks, oven sheet pancakes, honey cornbread muffins, applesauce bread, etc. Or I will make peanut butter oat and honey balls for their breakfast or snack option. I make yeast breads as well. Once a week I make sandwich rolls about 16-20 rolls that last the entire week, I make pizza once a month using no nitrate meats and whole fat mozzarella cheese and season our own organic tomato sauce, I make other yeast breads as well and I like to to watch cooking channels (usually ones outside of the united states) that cook hand made breads from scratch to get new recipes and techniques. If we do buy prepackaged items we try to get the healthiest foods possible and buy organic and or all natural. we buy a lot of our beef from a local butcher. We are wanting to homestead soon but haven't got to that point yet since we just moved to undeveloped land a year ago and we were busy getting the land developed but Lord willing it will happen soon!
Awesome video! Simple and nourishing snacks!!!! I don’t normally comment on videos. I also only enjoy informational videos that augment my family’s life. This video is great! Thanks for sharing!
Wow living the dream life.. also carrying 2 kids n working.. wow.. N having kids huddle near u when cooking..watching helping n learning..so sweet..reminded how I was As a child.. always arond parents when they r cooking 😅
Thank you so much for answering my inquiry re the storage containers that you use to store your dried beans lentils etc in very kind of you to take the time to do it Godbless you all
When peeling eggs, use a teaspoon. Crack it and get the spoon under the shell and just roll around, comes off in one go. It’s easier when you let it cool down or put in cold water but works even when warm.
I really enjoyed this video! I think the snack ideas are really good. And it's great to watch your kids help you and you teach them to make healthy food.
The gummies are a great idea. I have a lot of the same kind of snacks- hard boiled egg, dairy, nuts, baked good. A favorite daily healthy snack is healthy pancakes (oats, banana, cottage cheese, massive # eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, etc) + yogurt + fruit compote + sprinkle of nuts. I love salad but need to use frozen veggies often as it takes so much time to make salad. Salad 3 times per day? wow.
We love breakfast cookies! Oats, an egg, mashed banana or applesauce, a little bit of sweetener, some spices like cinnamon, and either dried or fresh fruit (blueberries are a favorite - I've even used frozen). Bake until golden. There are lots of recipes online. I usually wing it and add whatever we have and whatever sounds good!
I make weekly: boiled eggs in instant pot, energy balls, trail mix, Greek yogurt, almond milk, vegan muffins, and smoothies and hummus in my Nutribullet.
I actually make hot chocolate for my kids as a treat, very similarly, except I use honey or maple syrup to sweeten. I have an electric milk frother/warmer and I add some milk, a bit of cocoa powder and honey/or syrup and turn on the milk frother on low so it heats it up without frothing. The kids love the treat and it's naturally sweetened 😊
Thanks! So helpful and I really resonate with your viewpoints on tge health and money cost of store bought snacks are compared to homemade Plus i was JUST thinking i needed a raw chocolate milk recipe
@@FromScratchFarmstead we went with Japanese Hullless because it's yellow and we are weaning the kids off commercially grown foods and the color was easier for them to accept.
Great video. Thank you for sharing with us. Another thing that the "snacks" from the store has a lot of is High Fructose Corn Syrup with is super bad, I will have to give some of these a try for my grandchildren.
Yes ugh that crap is in dang near everything. We try to stick to real food as much as possible but at other people's houses, it's not always feasible...
The way I hard boil eggs to get the shell off easy is just tap the big end of the egg on the counter to put a crack in the shell, and drop it in the pot. I use the freshest eggs from my chickens and it works great... after water comes to a boil I let it boil 10 minutes. The water gets between the shell and the membrane and the shell pops off.
Your life looks like Jean Liedloff's continuum concept in action. So wonderful. Your video was in my youtube feed today. I love those healthy snack ideas! Love from Germany
I just made the almonds last night after watching this video and I LOVE them! My kids doo too which is awesome! A great snack option. Thank you for sharing! I plan to make the chocolate milk in the near future too 😊
For those without an Instant Pot (I'm not a gadget person) just steam eggs for fifteen minutes, then put into an ice bath until the Ince melts. The eggs peel easily. I make them weekly too.
My children are very similar to the ones you described in the beginning of this video. I loved Hearing how your family eats. I am wondering where I should even start? My children live on snacks 😩
Hi! Thanks for this comment! I wonder if you could start making swaps of what their snacks are and then slowly start trying to focus on eating good nutrient dense meals at meal times and seeing what happens. Depending on the kids ages, this may be more challenging. I think we have the advantage that this is all our kids know so it seems normal to them. Thanks for watching ☺️
Love these ideas! I need to be better about making things ahead of time! We love muffins, oatmeal cups, cookies, fruit/veggies-dried and fresh, cheese, and hard boiled eggs and the occasional medicine cup of chocolate chips!

@silverdreamss93 I generally don't bake with it because of the high temps. Added tip: Honey also has a lower glycemic load than sugar but still needs limited use by diabetics.
Can you use honey if you bake the nuts in a lower temp for a little longer?
@tenafleming7199 zi would. Not all good properties die under lower heat. I would try it. It's always better than sugar.
I love that this isn’t Pinterest perfect. You show your real, everyday life in these recipes. And the kids even take part, too! Keep up the good work

Ha! The comments are mixed but more good than bad 🙃. Thanks so much for watching!
I thought it was great too 😂....keeping it real!
At first I was like, 'ew!'. Then I was like, 'well...I'd do that in my own home, too...so...lol."
@@joeseatat I'm sure if were honest we all do gross stuff 😆🙈
My thoughts too!! 😂 #Momming
Hearing your daughter reciting Psalm 23 😍
Warms my heart too!! 🥰
Beautiful indeed! God is good ❤
Love seeing little ones love God's Word!
Love it! Keep it up!
That's wonderful and thanks for sharing those ideas!
I love that the children are involved. ❤🇦🇺
Sorry - I'm rambling! I wish I could blame it on my age, but I've been a rambler my whole life! 😊❤
I very much enjoyed your rambling! Thanks for sharing!! ☺️
Kids generally need snacks. They have much smaller stomachs so they need to eat more frequently. Even I can’t function on 3 meals a day. I eat smaller meals and need a snack in between. And no, I don’t eat packaged snacks.
@@AandM8
Kids don't need snacks.
Ha!! Real life! :)
I already loved you… but now I love you MORE for your freeze dried book! I haven’t bought one yet, because I needed a book first!
I love to make popcorn. (On the stove in a little oil and then lightly salted.) 🍿😍
Yum!! Great suggestion!!
Love it! Our kids sound very similar and it does definitely stand out when it comes to eating meals. Great ideas for easy, real food snacks!
Well done!!
Wonderful! So glad you enjoyed watching and I hope you like the recipes!!
Idk why this was suggested to me but I’m happy it was. A newly diagnosed diabetic and staying away from super processed foods these def gave me great snack ideas. Thank you sooooo much. God bless your family and your animals ❣️
So glad this was helpful and gave you ideas!! All the best on this new journey ❤️.
Best hint is to lose the carbs. You can put you diabetes, if it's t2, into remission.
Your approach to snacks and nutrition is really healthy & good! It's how many European countries like France approach healthy eating - three solid meals, less processed sugar and nutritious ingredients. Great! 🎉
I make my own granola. I love it as a snack (but I also very much love snacks)
Cinnamon
Oats
Maple syrup
Salt
Quinoa
Chia seeds
Flax seeds
Coconut oil
Coconut flakes
Whatever nuts I have, I put in.
Ie. Almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, pecans, hemp seeds, cashews, etc
Roast 275 about 45 mins
I also season and roast chickpeas. Usually I add cumin, salt, cayenne, paprika, nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder and those are also pretty addicting. 😊
Sounds delicious! Thanks for sharing!
Aside from the great info, I really enjoy that while you're filming, the kids are just doing their thing in the background or in the baby carrier. It's very wholesome and natural.
I’m glad you appreciate it! 😊
Thank you for being so authentic throughout this video and for sharing these amazing recipes which I babysit to try out. God bless your beautiful family in Jesus name
You’re welcome! Thanks for your sweet comment and I hope you enjoy the recipes!
So glad this is helpful for any lifestyle! Love those ideas - thanks for sharing!!
This is so raw and authentic. This is what i want to achieve in life. I’ve recently stopped buying packaged snacks too and educating my kids on food. Real food.❤
Love this!! Way to go!! 🙌❤️
These are really great ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing, looking forward to a new way of eating for our grand baby who lives with us full time. Gut health affects mental health. so better to start them off on the right foot.
Absolutely!! Keep it up!! 👏👏👏
Can I just say….. You are such a good Mom😍 God bless you and your family ❤
Aw! Thanks so much for your encouragement and for watching!
I’m chuckling at your little baby hooked in behind you.
That’s life with a large family
Beautiful chaos! 🙃❤️
I use a turkey baster to fill my gummy molds 😊 I make elderberry gummies for my grandchildren ... and for the rest of us. 😉
- Fermented carrot sticks dipped in homemade guacamole or hummus.
- Leftovers (whatever the children didn't eat off their plate from the previous meal). I'm thankful all of my children now do this same thing with their children.
- A smoothie
- Homemade sourdough and almond butter toast
- "Deviled" eggs
- Egg, chicken, or salmon salad on sourdough crackers or toast.
- Whatever is in the garden
Im sure there are more snacks, but that's what came to mind.
Great ideas!! Thank you for sharing! I bet fermented carrot sticks are delicious!
Thanks for sharing!
Yep! I learned that a while ago while down a "women's health" rabbit hole. Buh-bye not good for you candy, hello real foods!!
That's totally true. I'm an absolute chocolate freak and when I'm properly stocked up on my greens I don't crave chocolate as much at all
I like having dark chocolate banana nut bread with heavy cinnamon on hand.
Thanks for the tip!!
What a loving mom you are. Cooking healthy food for your family is one of the things I always cherrish because my mom did that for us 5 syblings and my dad❤
Thank you for your kind words! I love that you grew up that way! It's such satisfying and meaningful work!
Licking the milk jar b4 putting it away is sucha mom thing to do 😂

I just happened upon your vlog by perusing the menu choices in the far right column. So glad I clicked to watch. Love the idea of making homemade gummies. Those muffins made my mouth water for one. My kids like a stalk of fresh celery smeared with peanut butter and a few raisins added to the peanut butter. We call this snack "ants in a boat". Hard-boiled eggs are also a dandy high protein snack. Your children are darling and such good helpers!
Thanks so much for this! Ants on a log is what we always called them :)
We ate these growing up, we called them ants on a farm and my siblings ans i even had a little song to go with them as we were making them.
@@johannad3042 I'd love to know the words to your 'ants on a farm" song! Splendid idea!
Hah! We call it ants on a log. It’s funny there are so many variations for the same snack.
God bless you and your family. Loved the recipes, the life style, and specially the reciting of Psalm 23 by one of your kids!
Thank you!!
Love watching your precious family making things together!
Thank you!!!
I love the idea of using the blender to mix up batter. Seems much faster and easier to clean up than my countertop mixer or even a bowl and whisk. I learned a new trick thanks!
Awesome! The blender does make the muffins a breeze. So glad this was helpful!
I love this!I’ve been wanting to get away from buying snacks, but don’t really know where to start - and this Popped up randomly on my feed! Also I was thinking I wanted a glass of chocolate milk while the babies sleep so this video was very timely 😂
Ha! So glad this was just the right thing at the right time. Thanks for watching!
I think what you are doing with your family is fantastic, and you are helping me look, at snacking a healthy way. Thank you.
I’m so glad! Thanks for this encouraging comment!! All the best!
Thank you so much for leaving all the recipes in the description.
You’re welcome!!
A beautiful tribute to how God has blessed both you and your husband, as well as your lovely children.
Also, I'm not a huge gummy fan, yet I love the purity in how these are made. These will be great for my grandsons
So blessed! Thank you!! ☺️❤️
I made your muffin recipe and brought them to our homeschooling co-op last week and they all disappeared. I love recipes in the blender (so easy) and that it has all wholesome ingredients. My kids also love boiled eggs. Great video!
Yay!! So glad these were a hit with your crew! Thanks for sharing!
This was a great reminder of the simple things we can prepare to have ready... so much healthier for sure!
Yes! So glad this was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Love this!
also we make granola every week to either eat as cereal or top on yogurt.
Yum!! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Between last night and tonight, I made the Maple-cinnamon almonds, and the Banana Oat muffins! Both are SOOOOO good, and were SO easy and quick. THANK YOU for sharing!
Yay!!! So glad you liked them!
Wow, you are wonderwoman !! Your feed came up and i just started watching. Im past all those days and now am realizing, how did i do all that ? ( I did not homeschool but did a ton of work. . ). Thanks for sharing the recipes !!
I always say life is the best kind of full I could imagine! Thanks for your encouragement and I hope you like the recipes!!
Such a great video!
A healthy snack we almost always keep on hand: I make cashew milk(so easy to make!!) and then I make individual jars of chia pudding out of that. After the pudding sets, I top them usually with frozen blueberries or frozen mango and a nut or different kind of seed. Drizzle of honey on top and they are really easy to eat any time of the day❤
I love those ideas - I've never tried cashew milk or chia pudding. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for sharing. Love everything but the kids involved making the muffins just touched my heart ❤️, blessings
Aw! Thank you 🥰.
You are an awesome mother, wife, partner, congratulations
You're very sweet - we are doing the best we can! :)
Thanks so much for sharing!! Great ideas! I love the steak idea! 💪🙌
Thanks for this! I’ve been uneasy about the unhealthy snacks my grands eat and wondering if I could make up some good ones for them to try, and this is giving me a boost!
Awesome!! I hope you (and those grands) love them!
I like smoothie, frozen fruit, dollop of yogurt and a little milk blended. I freeze the ripe bananas in Ziploc, put in freezer and use them to add as a sweetener.
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing!
Yes or smash half avo on rice cake & add a fried egg. 😋
I make cinnamon roasted almonds too, but the recipe I use includes egg whites for a bit of an extra crunch. Love the video and how very human it is! Thanks for sharing your lifestyle 👍🏽
Great idea about adding egg whites! We do that for granola but I'm going to try making the nuts this way. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!! Thanks for sharing what’s working for your crew too!
The muffin recipe makes an amazing waffle recipe as well!! I added tsp on cinnamon and plant protein powder for the waffles and my kids ate it up! Thanks for sharing your smarts 💡
Ooh - I've never thought of waffles! Great idea!
I love how simple and affordable these snack options are :-)
So glad this was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Oh interesting idea! I could see where the crunch would be nice! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for these ideas. One thing we love is Chia Seed Pudding. I make it with either heavy cream or chocolate almond milk, a bit of vanilla and maple syrup.
Yumm! I've actually never tried chia seed pudding but I know others that love it. Good idea!
I make mine with Greek yogurt...yum!☆
How did you teach your children how to help out with the work? It is really heartwarming to behold!!❤

Homemade hummus with carrot sticks or other cut-up veggies. I also like to make a "snack tray" with cut veggies, fresh or dried fruit, cheese cubes, peanut butter, etc.
Great ideas!
Love all that!! Thanks for sharing your rhythms. Very helpful to hear what's working for you!!

When peeling eggs, use a teaspoon. Crack it and get the spoon under the shell and just roll around, comes off in one go. It’s easier when you let it cool down or put in cold water but works even when warm.
Thanks for sharing! I haven't heard this trick before.
I really enjoyed this video! I think the snack ideas are really good. And it's great to watch your kids help you and you teach them to make healthy food.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it!
Salad 3 times per day? wow.
I think I said "solid meals 3x per day" but it sounded like "salad"! Oops! Those are great ideas!
The baby on the back peeking trying to see what's going on made me laugh!😄 Sweet family & great ideas!!
Thank you!! ❤️☺️
Ooh, thanks for sharing! That sounds delicious!
This is one of the most beautiful things I've watched today. ❤ keep up the great work mama!!❤
Aw! Thank you! ❤️
I make weekly: boiled eggs in instant pot, energy balls, trail mix, Greek yogurt, almond milk, vegan muffins, and smoothies and hummus in my Nutribullet.
Love it!! Great suggestions!!
A milk frother would be so fun! That's a great idea!

Great video. Thank you for sharing with us. Another thing that the "snacks" from the store has a lot of is High Fructose Corn Syrup with is super bad, I will have to give some of these a try for my grandchildren.
You're welcome - thanks for watching and I hope your family enjoys the recipes!
Great🌻 for making real natural healthy food available for your family!!🤠. note: Humans only need ~15-20% of diet to be protein. (More when lactating)
Thanks for watching!!

For those without an Instant Pot (I'm not a gadget person) just steam eggs for fifteen minutes, then put into an ice bath until the Ince melts. The eggs peel easily. I make them weekly too.
Thank you for sharing this - very helpful!!
