Bro such a legend this helps so much I was getting rlly mad because my old friend is 19 and he gave me his ps4 and his parent controls he set up is on and I had to reset the whole ps4 and then the controller wasn’t working and I still can’t get it to work but I hope this video helps if not could you make a video on how to go to the storage and fix the applications on the system for parent controlled if you turned them off and they still say the same thing

mate i have a issue my controller gets the yellow light but only to phone chargers not to ps4 so i charge it on my phone charger and then try to connect it connects for literally a second and then it disconnects because it said i have no battery

Good work. The first one worked. All of a sudden I was playing xenoverse 2 when my controller froze and I had to look up tutorials and found one video showing how to reset the controller. But it didn't stop the problem completely but your methods fixed it so thank you

AS IT TURNS OUT.....
IT WAS USING THE RIGHT CORD THAT CONNECTS THE CONTROLLER.
I WAS USING A SHORT PHONE CHARGER CORD TILL I SWAPPED IT FOR THE APPROPRIATE CORD.
IT LIT UP LIKE A MIRACLE.
I WANTED TO CRY, I WAS SO HAPPY.
PLEASE, IF YOU'RE READING THIS, THIS WORKED FOR ME.

My controller was flashing yellow once and shutdown
I think that step 2 and 3 are the most important,but we never know
The method that i used is this :
0. Don't know if necessary, but i opened my controller unplugged the battery for 2 min ,replugged it and then the controller stop flashing the yellow light and flashed the blue light.
1. i used the method 3 - with controller plugged in ,but the ps4 wouldn't recognize it and told me to plug it .
2.i put my ps4 on bluetooth mode (share +ps button)
3. used my second controller, went into setting -> peripheral-> bluetooth -> look for my controller(dualsock4) and connect with it .
Now it's work fine.

It turns blue when On the PS4 home page but when the game plays it goes back to yellow

Heres how i fixed my yellow light of death in my ps4 controller.
What i did was leave it alone for a whole day not charging.
Then i used a normal usb charger one from your Android phones and then take it out when you see the yellow light.
if you see a blinking red light when you press the ps button to turn on the controller (without it charging or anything) it means it worked.
Now connect it to your ps4 using the usb cable that came with the ps4 if not try any android charger.
And turn the ps4 on it should appear the yellow light when you plug it in it happened to me it's okay.
Just press the ps button and it should be a ligh blue color and it connects ( you can't do anything but it connected) then go ahead and put the ps4 on rest mode and then turn it back on.
The ligh blue light should appear once again when you press the ps button, press it again and it should connect to your ps4 without a problem.
Hopefully this works for someone as it did for me!
