Looks very similar to the 2000 hp car NRE showed years ago. The build captures the design of the 69 Camaro so well and isn't overdone. Great optics and, of course, amazing engineering on NRE's part!
7:39 how come the RS headlights (mostly the one on the driver side) always tilt? Even on factory cars the drivers side one looks uneven I still love the RS front and this car is a dream. It could be blue though 😅
Building a 69 camaro with a TT motor from Nelson and on a roadstershop frame Also a 70 chevelle convertible with the 3.0 whipple from Nelson…… also on roadstershop frame ……. Hopefully both on here someday!!
Literal, in 2024, the best, IMO, "full built" Camaros you've showcased, sure there's been some wicked full suspension, but built NA engine Camaros that I've lived just as much that have been setup more for handling and beating which I may have "lusted after" more as someone who wants to drive, but damn this one is nasty, but with 1000hp on tap, I could definitely see myself having too much fun and smoking 4th gear down the street at 100mph and getting sideways and cracking something up 😅😂
Very nice 69 camaro. The additional width is almost unnoticeable until you look at a stock '69 camaro. The windshield looks wider than stock, aside from flush mounted. Big turbo motors love tall gearing. Really tall gearing. Because shifting just dumps boost and requires respooling. A 2.85 or 2.80 rear gear, along with an automatic trans with no more than 4 gears w/4th being overdrive. 1st three gears all tall as hell and close to each other. Great top end along with wheels up on prepped tracks.

I’m sure when I used to watch it no one even knew who Nelson Racing Engines was, because even I was in awe when he would drive 2000hp cars and gun it on the streets before 1000hp street cars were even a thing lol 😂…my first video watching NRE was the one where he drove the 2000hp Pontiac Le Mans on the street and gunned it a few times, I was like hooooolllyyyy shiiitttt this guy is fucking nuts!

A school chums brother bought a brand new 69 Camaro SS when we were in 6th grade. I remember him pulling up slow while we checked out his car, then burning burning rubber up the street. It was white with red rally stripes and a 4 speed. Cars are faster now with all the tech, but the street scene back then was just more exciting and raw. Ironically my current car is a 17' Camaro super sport with 6 speed manual trans. Love his car.
69’ Camaros are so common but when you see one like this it’s like seeing one for the first time. So sick and I’m a huge Nelson Racing Engines fan. Those engines are a work of art themselves. Another good video 👍🏽
Nice build👍. Im sure i could buy a nice house with the money in that car, lol. 7k plus is not uncommon any more on anerican push rod motor. My old school 347 Sbf will do 7500 before limiter on 93 fuel and hydraulic lifters, custom cam. Theoretically the lifters are rated to 8000 rpm.
im not a camaro guy at all but i know what it takes to put a bunch of killer part together with some radical as well as simple fabrication to make something that any car guy would die for. the most fab is things that most people dont have any idea youve touched. this is one of the most sano '69's ever. this like mark steilow car only more custom. the diffuser and hood vents are cherries!!!! sick car. i'd be honored to share my mustang driveway with this any friggin' day!! cheers
