I tried this recipe but with onions, not shallots. The dosas were sticky, soft and not retaining shape when trying to turn. Then I added some rice flour to get firmness and crisp. They turned out great. Whoever trying this recipe, for 1 cup of oats, add half cup rice flour. Final taste was so good. Thank you for the idea.

hmm, rice flour is carb so the recipe will not be for weight loss?

Am not an expert but you might be right. You can replicate the exact recipe with shallots and see if it works. Maybe onions is not working well in this recipe.

Instead of rice Flour add gramflour it s protein only and skip Fenugreek ,it gives soggy consistency for dosa,if u adding Fenugreek means add more gramflour to the batter according to ur consistency

Today I tried this recipe came out well but I didn't add Fenugreek , instead of i add gramflour 2 to 3 tbsp ,if we add oats only means dosa batter was sticky not able to pour thin crispy dosa so I added gramflour and I used Quaker brand normal oats only ...

Hi Maam, I tried using Kellogs rolled oats but while draining the water kept on coming white plus I think the Kellogs oats are thin because as soon as I tried washing it started getting fully soaked and getting slightly diluted. For now I ve kept it overnight wifh little water. Hopefully, it turns out good tomorrow. My question is can we go ahead with Kelloggs Oats for this recipe or should we use only the wholegrain one that you use.

Tried these recipes as well and this time I used a new Clean Label Food Brand, True Elements Rolled Oats and they're pretty good. Would recommend to everyone to go for it. So far this is the only brand I've come across which doesn't use any refined sugar or preservatives or additives in their products and are still super tasty. Its definite must try!!

Please advise me what should i do get perfect oats dosa. Thank you little ❤️ from Malaysia .

Hello ma’m, thank you for this nice recipe. I tried this recipe with a variation in the ingredients such as shallots by onion. Curry leaves by parsley. I skipped methi. Everything looked fine, but my dosa was extremely sticky, and soft like crepes. I had hard time removing them from a nonstick tawa . Any advice?
    Thank you 🙏.
