This video was a lifesaver! I'm learning 2 languages at University and I needed something to consolidate all my vocab and grammar revision into one place. People always talked about Anki, but it was a little intimidating to set up language-specific add-ons and cards. Thank you so much for this!!
Thanks for making this video. I tried making anki cards before but I wonder if I was making it right. So I am curious how others make their anki cards. 😅😊
I was watching and didn't even realise you were such a small channel. The quality of this video is on par with other large creators, you're definitely due for some more attention! On a side note, I also like Jisho however another dictionary I can recommend is takoboto as it's become my go to dictionary, especially since it has a mobile version
I've been using Migaku for creating Anki cards, with the legacy extension as described in this video: th-cam.com/video/4tKINZwRzVs/w-d-xo.html It's not perfect, but it's way better than entering everything manually :D just hover over a word, press Q and you have a new Anki card including a screenshot, audio and example sentence. Works with Netflix and TH-cam, haven't tried anything else. Sometimes it messes up words, especially with very casual language or autogenerated broken subtitles, but overall it works pretty well and you can always edit stuff in Anki afterwards. It's not free and a bit of a pain to set up (I spent half a day fiddling with the HTML template in Anki until it looked the way I wanted it to), so I'd love to know if anyone got a similar setup with yomitan or similar.
Mining from Jisho is not recommeded since its source for the sentences is tatoeba which is full of sentences that don't come from natives and might have mistakes or sound unnatural use other jp-en source made by japanese people such as weblio, kotobank or eijiro
@@Seriinudesu yeah but that's time you could spend immersing more without making cards unless you've heard or seen the expression like 5 times before, that way you don't make too many cards Or you could mine everything you don't know with yomitan completely set up, order everything by frequency, and review the cards on anki by the most frequent word time is precious, good luck with your learning!
Do you like sit-down videos without music (like this one) or with music better? 🎶
Also let me know your Anki tips & tricks 😊
I prefer this kind of videos without music. This way I can concentrate better and retrace your "steps" easier.
Okay, good to know. Thanks for answering 😊

That's great to hear 😊 Good luck with setting up your cards 🍀
Thank you for this guide! It has really helped me get started making my own decks.
Thank you! I'm happy to hear that 😊 Have a fun time studying with your new cards 🤗
Loved this video. I've been looking for an anki tutorial just like this.
Yay, I'm happy you like it. Thank you for your patience 😉

Oh really? I didn't know that. Thank you for the recommendation! I'll check out those resources 😊
manual sentence mining in 2024... this is tough
True, but it prevents me from adding to much cards to quickly 😉

Hallo Sven, ich habe sie bereits hochgeladen. Schaue gerne mal durch meine Community-Posts, da habe ich sie vor ein paar Monaten geteilt.
