    I applaud Citroen for being different and designing in comfort rather than "sportiness." Great review, as ever.

    Very comfortable car, my dad got one exactly for that. He is 72 has a bad back and knees and just wants to get from A to B and sometimes C in comfort. Very comfortable practical car. But yes having a sport button on this car is like putting a sport button on an armchair.

      sport actually holds the gear changes a little longer if you listen to the difference between sport and normal mode.

    I've never driver a Citroen, and wonder what suspension feels like on the road. Is it really that good? But great video and review, thanks!

    • @oojimmyflip
      @oojimmyflip 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the aircross suspension is nothing like that of the older models, if you put the car on a ramp and look underneath it looks just like any other modern car a shock absorber and spring setup, Citroen claim to have redesigned the shock absorbers but you cant tell that they are any different just by looking at the outside of them, they look like standard shocks.

    I have a question: why isn’t the C5 Aircross offered with LED headlights in the UK, even as an option when they’re offered in other markets where it’s sold? 🤔
    Here in the UK, C5 Aircross buyers have to make do with old-fashioned halogen headlights like on an old Austin Metro...

    • @cjdwyer93
      @cjdwyer93 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same in Australia... LEDs would have been nice.

    • @joshbacon8241
      @joshbacon8241 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cjdwyer93 I agree, especially as sister company Peugeot offers LED headlights on the 3008 and 5008 in both left and right-hand-drive markets, so why LED headlights still aren't offered on right-hand-drive cars I'll never know!
      I mean, if Peugeot can offer LED headlights for both LHD and RHD cars, then I don't see why Citroën can't do the same for the C5 Aircross...

    • @oojimmyflip
      @oojimmyflip 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joshbacon8241 you can buy 200% upgrade H7 bulbs for around £30 a pair they make a hell of a difference they are cheaper to replace and it took me about ten minutes to fit them it was surprisingly easy for a Citroen the older cars had very deep headlights and you couldn't reach the bulbs but these are easy to get at and halogen upgrades are much cheaper to replace when they blow in about ten years time. on flair models the fog lights also turn with the steering wheel as you go around corners.

    Modern cars are leaned towards handling and speed result in hard jaw nd teeth breaking hard suspension if we drive it in otherthan butter smooth roads.. car should comfortably take us from point a to b.. manufacturers consider most of thr customers are rally drivers.. it sucks big tym

    There are two things that slightly annoys me, the excessively wide central tunnel and the potato rear view camera. As for stability in corners look at the video of a Spanish TH-cam channel called something like 77 km I don’t remember. The funny thing is that the C5 aircross is faster than many sedans and almost all the SUVs at the moose test.

    • @joshbacon8241
      @joshbacon8241 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, here’s something else that will annoy you about the C5 Aircross - LED headlights aren’t offered on the C5 Aircross in the UK, even as an option! We have to make do with old-fashioned halogen headlights - welcome to the 1990’s!

    • @mariokajin

      Josh Bacon you are right barely any Citroën comes with LED lights, and they are not even optional. I drove the 1.2 liter petrol engine with manual gearbox. And it was surprisingly lively.

      What annoys me about Citroen is they don't do the expected basics, like let you know when you're about to run out of washer fluid. My C4 Picasso didn't do it and it turns out this one doesn't do it either. Didn't stop my wife from ordering one though and having driven it, it's very comfortable. I suppose it's a case of taking the good with the bad but c'mon Citroen....

    what 1.6 diesel ? mines a 1.5 litre diesel mated to an 8 speed auto box. I wish these reviewers would get their facts right and its still 130 bhp. I think Citroen is moving away from the 1.6 litre diesel engines as they have had so many reliability issues especially with the egr system. The auto boxes are proper torque converter gearboxes which tend to have a longer life than the automated manual dual clutch gearboxes if serviced properly. Im an old skool Citroen Nut and I love this car even if it doesn't have proper Citroen suspension, I never want to get out of it its so comfortable and as for sporty if you hit kickdown it really does get up and go. it averages 35 around town and 55 mpg on a run which isnt to bad for an automatic. its far less thirsty than my old Mk2 Dacia duster manual with the same size diesel engine.
