- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 29 ส.ค. 2024
- The GR5 is an approximately 700-kilometre long hiking trail including 40 000 meters of ascent and traversing the heart of the French Alps from Lac Léman (aka Lake Geneva) in the north of France to the Mediterranean Sea in the south. It is one of the world’s most spectacular hiking trails. I will solo hike this trail over several weeks.
Day 2 - July 4 - 21 KMS - 11.5 HRS
33 KMS TOTAL
Start: 7:54 AM, Chalets de Bise
End: 7:29 PM, Col de Bassachaux
Ascent: 1495 m (3365 m total)
Descent: 545 m (1770 m total)
(camping sur la terrasse derrière le refuge/restaurant La Haute Bise)
Some days are just days. And on those days, where there is a lack of excitement and a lack of strife, there is a profound appreciation to be alive at all.

Fantastic views every step of the way!
Many of us have a place where we know that is where we belong. Happy to hear you are so content. Thanks.
Hi Miss Christina! Beautiful country side! Thanks for sharing! Take care and god bless
Opening was just hilarious 😃, fantastic episode! Wherever you turn the camera, the scenes are unbelievably beautiful! Hats off to this episode
So glad you are enjoying the hike and find it challenging. Looks like you found a few folks to hang with on your journey.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying yourself. I’m waiting for the cow serenade!!! They sound like they’re wearing Church Bells 🔔 Snow, my goodness 😮 stay safe and have fun.
You are looking very happy and content on this one so far. I hope that you will get that experience on the whole trail Christina. It is definitely a beautiful and interesting area, but the trails appear to be pretty intense and very steep so far. The beauty of the area at least might help keep your mind off the aching legs and sore feet for the duration. It looks like the trusty tent that you have is holding up pretty well so far. I am very impressed with that because it has been put through its paces for sure. I am enjoying this series of videos immensely. I will be off to the next video now. Thanks again for what you do. See you on the next one.
Im very happy to see you on the GR5, you and the countryside are absolutely beautiful 😊
Hi Christina
Absolutely stunning views. I bet you don't even have to filter the water! Love the sound of cow bells.
Cheers!

Those views!!
Fantastic!! Looks like a big challenge but you are well prepared. Those alpine meadows are heaven on earth. Are you meeting a lot of other hikers along the way? Looking forward to the rest of your journey. Thanks for inviting us along.
Hello,
Bonne route and take care.
Éric
Éric! Coucou! J’espère que ta jambe est guérie maintenant? Tu vas retourner au GR5 cet été? Merci pour dire coucou! Et, encore une fois, vraiment enchantée! 🥰✌🏼
I think we're going to need a little more cowbell.
