I like the collab with Nick videos. Especially when Nick shares the same shoulder pull elbow dip issue I have. Been working on it all off season. Fire my elbow at a target that at like 10/11:00 has been a big help. My manta is “fire the elbow and turn the key” right now. I enjoy your scientific approach to disc golf. Good stuff.

Paddle idea is genius. I also think "curl the wrist on the pull to automagically push the elbow out."

I think that 'automagically' is because curling the wrist is a pretty small motion and you quickly run out of wrist curl and then start to internally rotate more because it also adds some curl with the arm in a similar direction.
I've had some good speeds where the only thing I've thought about during the pull through is to curl the wrist.

@@stepwise-dg I struggle with elbow dip too, and the wrist curl for me is key. It also helped with spin rate and aim-point by thinking "point the elbow to my target." By the way, I forgot to mention I also love how the paddle sets the wrist into a nose-down angle.

@@JohnKelly6x6Design I don't think that's actually the nose down source, but when the wrist curls it more naturally leans towards pour the tea so it's useful.
You'll have to watch my nose down vids for why pour the tea isn't nose down, but the short version is at the hit, the back of your hand is generally facing towards where you are throwing, so you need to tilt the back of your hand downwards (palm up) for nose down and pour the coffee does NOT tilt in that direction, it tilts more in the hyzer direction at the hit.

@@stepwise-dg Yes, I've seen those, and thank you. I agree with you about release angle (hyzer), but for me, pour the coffee still works best for my nose angle control. I've been using Tech Disc since it first came out and tried everything to correct nose angle. But at that time, I didn't realize how my elbow dip was contributing to a nose-up, flat-to-anhyzer release regardless. I think your paddle drill helps to feel and correct both issues in one. Thanks again for your vids and insightfulness.

@@JohnKelly6x6Design Yeah pour the tea still does help some people get the nose down but I think it's just usually for other reasons / side effects that people don't notice. Like some people when pouring the tea internally rotate more like you would if pouring a heavy pitcher / bottle but the cue for some reason has focused too much on this tiny wrist movement instead of the internal rotation elbow up part of pouring something heavy.
And if you get more internally rotated in the pocket then you are better set up to move in the nose down direction on the way out of the pocket.
