Your restorations are simply the best I've ever seen. What may look like a 28 minutes video must have take you guys a couple of days. Lots of work and assembly to bring that motorbike to look new again. Seems like it was smoking too much from the exhaust. Cheers on a good restoration.
I have just dug mine out from the back of the garage, purchased 10 years ago and stored since. Just started the restoration after finishing my dtr125. Cant wait to complete. 😀
Its a 2 stroke. It is supposed to smoke. 2 stroke engines burn oil. The main bearings, connecting rod, piston, and cylinder are lubricated by the gas/oil mix used to run the bike. The tiny amount of oil he added is for the clutch and transmission. You don't see these types of engines on motorcycles much anymore due to emission standards. They are very rare especially in developed countries. For their size 2 strokes made much more power than an equally sized 4 stroke engine back in the day. They also have less moving parts and were pretty simple to make. Cant say you didn't learn something today. With that being said im pretty sure the piston was installed backwards and he didn't soak the clutch plates in oil.
good night, to these great mechanic, tonnons, electrician, painter, congratulations to you guys, I'm a fan of this most beautiful work, it's a show guys Brasil

@@pinchepescado40 the smoke should have calmed down a bit after it warmed up. i think the oil injector needs adjustment (if it has one) or he's just got too much mix in the fuel.
