For anyone that happens to be looking at the video still, instead of leaving the replace with black, replace the section break with a column break. This allows you to keep the formatting. In the video, the 4 got sucked back into the 3. Replacing with a column break keeps the 4 where it is and if you had the same issue I had, still allows you to print specific pages instead of the whole document. Great video and it helped me out a lot!

The first way you show, which is most common listed on the internet didn’t work! But, your 2nd example was a God send my friend!!! FINALLY!!! The mystery of deleting sections is solved & I can now number my document pages as it was number in 2 sections, starting at 1 in each (example; section one was pages 1~4, then it would start at 1 again on the 4th page! Grrr! THANK YOU!!!

FYI: It wasn't working for me, but I found out another way. I'm not sure if it's because I am using a Mac or what, but if you go to the beginning of the section break. Then, hold down the shift button and press the right arrow key. It should highlight the section break, now press delete.

For mac users with 2016 Word: 1. To access the Edit tab (where the find and replace feature is located): Edit in the same bar as the apple symbol when using a Word window, it will be to the right of "File". 2. Select Advanced Find and Replace from the drop down. 3. Select the special drop down menu at the bottom in the "Find" section. The rest of the steps follow as in the video :)
That second method looks great. You should have said at the start of your video, that there will be two methods. You would think that the first method would work easily - just delete, but its often not that easy!
The second option finally works on a mac. As someone that usually uses a PC, I couldn't figure out how to do it without the delete option (vs backspace)

It was harder to figure out on the Mac, but it works. Make sure that you use Control+H on the Mac and not Command+H.
