    Excellent. I have always been mystified over how to delete a section break and not have the document reformat itself as per the following section break. Actually, why I tried to do this was because I wanted to change the type of section break. I finally worked out that somebody might have posted a video on the subject, I found this and the instructions couldn't have been clearer. WELL DONE ERIN!!!!

    Hello Erin! Thank you for the video on Section Breaks. it was exactly what i needed... My case managment system will output to word files "templates", with a cover letter to the client at the end. Depdning on factors, sometimes either letter could be one or two or more pages. Your video helped me make it so that the first page of the document as well as the first page of the client's cover letter all got the right letterhead attached, without any letterhead on any of the section pages beyond. It was just what I needed. Thank you so much.

    Great content Erin, you have a lovely and relaxed voice which helps a lot.
    Any idea how you can use these in effect to essentially lock a page out. For example in a template you don't want the page to move or shift if you alter text above it.

      Thank you for your kind words! I'm not aware of a way to lock a page in place. However, one workaround is to insert a blank page or two above the section break so that you have room to add content without pushing that section farther down. I have a separate tutorial about blank pages that you may find helpful: th-cam.com/video/TU3NmGsYI04/w-d-xo.html.

    Thanks Erin. Great video. Can you explain why sometimes Section Breaks refuse to be deleted. I and my colleague have spent hours trying to do this simple task. I tried your recommendations and nothing go deleted - help! Thanks.

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching! I am sorry that your section breaks won't delete. Do you have Tracked Changes on? If so, I would recommend turning the tracking off before trying to delete the break. If that doesn't work, you may want to explore the Microsoft Community forums because there are several discussions about this issue (although some disagreement about a solution). Best of luck!

    Hello Erin ..
    Thank you for the amazing content and warm narration 🌺😁
    If you would please make a vedio about about font types, when to use and your recommendation.
    Also if you could explain how to use headings, becuse they miss up the style, font and everything once they applied.
    Thanks in advanced 🌹

    How can you insert a next page section break at the end of the page and the end of a full line of justified text without messing up the format?

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is an interesting question. If you have a space left at the very end of the line, one trick is to select that space and then reduce the font size to something much smaller than the surrounding text. This will sometimes (although not always) create more space for the break. Thank you for watching!

    How do you get the section to end. I need each section to say END OF SECTION

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching! Word doesn't provide a break for the end of a section. Each section continues until the next section starts. If you want text that says "End of Section," you can type it in manually before creating each new section. I wish you all the best with your Word document!
