My husband does Sudoku every day in between chores, good exercise for the mind. We read a lot, too. I like to write and he likes Sudoku, and then we read, discuss the news etc. Coloring for adults is relaxing and very popular these days. Oldl DVDs I enjoy, books, writing, is good entertaining, and them home cooking, housework, laundry, pet care and some exercise. I should color. Doing your own biscuits and flour tortillas at home makes these tasty and cheaper.
Isn't it nice to walk into a store and know you can afford anything you want? Lol. I never walk out with less than $20 worth (mostly junk). Happy Saturday with the grandkids.
I use the dollar tree dish towels all the time ! They are good after they have been washed several times..I like their dish rags also with the mesh on the back... I love dollar tree.

Hey Ms Glenda. Nice haul at the Dollar Store. You might have an easier time with the kiddos if you don't give them sugary stuff. Crackers, chips and dip, veggies and dip are all fun for little ones and it keeps them from climbing the walls giving grandma an anxiety attack. LOL The coloring books were very cute. I know the kids will have a fun time with that. I have found also that a box of anything is fun for kids too. A car, a motorcycle, a block or two, some balls, a giant fly or spider.....one of grandma's old powder compacts....they love that stuff.
Walmart has the thinnest bags, my milk busted the bag and all my milk spilled all over the driveway, I guess I should be grateful it didn’t spill in house😂

I always use reusable..but I've forgotten mine. Spent 5 cents for bag and ripped half way home lol. Always remember I keep my extra mask right by my driving glasses. In car I have a little necklace too that attaches the mask .👍
Have you ever had candy corn mixed with peanuts? It is delicious! One of my food memories that I won't eat anymore. My daughter just went today to look for their gallon freezer bags to freeze my chopped meat in! I buy 3-4 pound pkgs. and break them down to 1 pound pkgs and then flatten them out to store easily in freezer! With these inexpensjve bags I can throw them away instead of washing and reusing the more expensive Zip Lock ones! Also bought a few plastic containers for her lunches and one for marinating meat. Kids will love what you bought! Maybe carry your reusable bags in the car so they will always be there in sight. Have a great day with the kids! God Bless!

I like Dollar Tree too, but the one nearest me doesn’t have a refrigerated section. I asked why one time and was told that Giant Eagle in the immediate area didn’t allow them. If I want a Dollar Tree with a refrigerated section, I’ve got to catch a bus to one in the next town 10 minutes away

Food cost is continue to be more expensive. Inflation due to the horrible droughts and fires: California. Also, the bad weather in the Midwest is now in New Mexico, in California for a while, and next year the drought will continue, so al will be more expensive. Store on some oatmeal, canned beans, rice, those staples. COVID has made businesses suffer, the food business, and the Drought is horrible. Coffee beans destroyed in Brazil this year due to frost. Too cold down there, so next year coffee will cost more, their harvest was totally destroyed. Please, carry a spare mask in your handbag at all times.

Are they using paper bags now. I temember years ago throwing trash away with paper bags. Always scrubbing the cans because everything leaked. Still scrub the cans out but with plastic it is not so awful a job.
@@glendasully Good reasons for it too much plastic. But just hate to have to to go back to the old ways. Have a bunch of reusable cloth ones I use too. I keep my plastic store bags and if they get dirty I wash and reuse them till I cannot anymore to try to conserve. Yes trying to stop using as much as I can, but lots of things come in plastic. Reuse the hard plastic for things in the garage as much as I can too.
Do the kids come over often? Get a supply of coloring books,crayons,paints to keep at your house. Toys, DVD, from the thrift store. You are a such a good Gramma!

That is the first time I have seen paper bags at the Dollar Tree. Our Dollar Tree here still uses plastic bags.
New York state banned the use of plastic bags a few years ago.
Dollar Tree is great for my little Grandbabies , but it gets a little harder to find something for the older kids . Happy shopping .

Are they using paper bags now. I temember years ago throwing trash away with paper bags. Always scrubbing the cans because everything leaked. Still scrub the cans out but with plastic it is not so awful a job.
Yes or reusable bags. Plastic bags use is against the law here now. Most stores charge 5 cents for a paper bag
@@glendasully Good reasons for it too much plastic. But just hate to have to to go back to the old ways. Have a bunch of reusable cloth ones I use too. I keep my plastic store bags and if they get dirty I wash and reuse them till I cannot anymore to try to conserve. Yes trying to stop using as much as I can, but lots of things come in plastic. Reuse the hard plastic for things in the garage as much as I can too.

I just ate a Salami sandwich and it was delicious. I would recommend it. Bar S has always been a favorite brand of mine

I usually babysit at their house, but Jill brings them here about twice a month. They love feeding the chickens and Koi fish
