Great new (old) equipment guys.
Lots of cool old stuff in the shop. And the Dodge quad D100, nice shop truck.
Back when I was in high school in the early 1970's I had machine shop for three years and we had several pieces of equipment that had U.S. war asset tags on them and one of them was a Brown & Sharp milling machine just like that one complete with the gear divider head. Well made tools will last forever if you just take care of them.
Hello from Memphis. Just remember being to busy puts more groceries on the table than wishing you had some work
Bless your soul. I worked at Smith & Nephew a few years ago. Poor Memphis. Used to be Enjoyable when I was a kid.
Been awhile but worth the wait!😎
Gotta love it. Apparently there's no shortage of Fords at Strong's Garage. That milling machine is way cool.
Your work and shop are amazing
thrills, chills, & overdue bills...
gotta love what you guys are doing there.
You both have a wealth of knowledge, I was born in the wrong country, wrong era, boomer here born 1960, I remember cars from the 30’s and 40’s in grandpas yard, wish I had them now. There is nothing left in the states that one doesn’t have to mortgage the home to get, I have been a sub since you guys started, followed CWM for years, It’s a shame that you guys cant play music due to the algorithm BS, I miss that. You guys are living the dream, these old cars outshine anything one can purchase today. God bless you, stay just the way you are, I will follow. Cheers from sunny Florida USA. Sadly I can only thumb up once…
Same for me, just the wrong time, I'm an '83 model. Grew up near an old junkyard that had 30s cars sinking into a swamp, spent a lot of time crawling around back there. There's some hope on the price front, as old folks sadly pass, the sentimental value is falling out of prices. Nearly everything pre-70s is down in price except Studebakers, they're way up. 50s Chevs seem still real strong. Cars 1935 and earlier are way down, we may still be able to play, yet. Cheers, from New Hampshire.
Every time I see one of these 1924-27 Model T's, I feel so sorry for what the Ford dealers of the day had to go through.
Matt and Jim, I like the old cars but personally I'm more interested in all of your old machine tools. I'd love to see a few videos on each of the machine tools. Each machine having its own video. Maybe that's not interesting for others but I'd like to see that.....and I'm not even a machinist.
Okay, that Brown & Sharpe mill is actually cooler than the roof framing in your shop (which deserves an episode).
Boy, I wish I were 2000 miles closer, I have a rolling toolbox full of carbide mills and saws for that old Brown & Sharpe and no machine to use them on. All your old equipment in great shape is really exciting. Cheers, from a New Hampshire machinist.
Love all the old tooling. 👍👍
Great video, thanks for the update! I love the brown and cream colours on the 1930 A coupe!
Awesome video thank you for the video
Cool pieces of history
Does that Ford Granada in the background happen to be one of the Cold War Motors agent's car? All the stuff you guys are working on is really sweet stuff. Edit: watching the rest of the video answered my question! Looks like Alex.
You fellows have a great shop. Love all the A pickups. That's a really nice T.
I love that you two are keeping a part of American and Canadian history alive. Weather it is the cars and pickups or your amazing old school shop and period correct equipment and tools. You guys have a wealth of knowledge that so few people have now a days and I can see why you stay so busy keeping customers happy. Love your channel.
awesome
In your spare time you all should do a vid / tutorial on the Brown & Sharpe. That looks awesome.
Can’t believe you don’t have more subs, give it time: great content, great backdrop, and two hosts with good on screen personalities
Like your old machines. Browne & Sharpe made beautiful machines. Your're lucky to have it. They made an amazing surface grinder. Possibly a #4. Enjoyed the tour.
Another shop update but so worth watching. some fantastic vehicles showcased and some great shop equipment rescued and put back to work. Hopefully you might consider showcasing some of those machine tools in action making or fixing items in the shop to complement the videos of your work on the cars and trucks
I was wondering about babbitt bearing work. I'm really glad to know this is something you guys do! I live in Fort McMurray and I'm in the process of buying a complete 1952 Chev 1 ton truck with a 235 babbitt pounder as my next project. I'm trying to learn as much about them as I can because my first task will be to try and get it to run.
Great channel and great videos as always. Love how you guys keep those antique vehicles alive!!
Hope you guys can show more of the machining in some upcoming videos. Babbit is almost a lost art.
Way back in the early 80s I learned how to make a gear with a brown and sharp mill just like yours. Made the arbor, then the blank. Good golly that was a lifetime ago. Now it’s all CNC programs and nonsense. Bet there isn’t a whole lot of folks who really know how to machine anymore. ✌️
Great video, the Model T coupe is sweeet!
It's like Scott's T, but all tarted up.
Amazing update. I had no idea Ford T had a optional cabin heater from the floor, very surprised to find out about it. You both know how to handle old Fords.
Thumbs up !
Good to see you guys strutting your stuff
Strong's garage is a welcomed find
Henry was right. Model Ts look best in Johnny Cash Black.
I hope you guys get some of the T racing on video. If I was closer or there I would go but since i can't it would be awesome if you could get some of the footage because I and sure many others would love to see it.
Love you guys! If it were practical, I'd ship my '37 Studebaker to you boys for a go through. In a heartbeat.
Congratulations on your new machining capabilities.
Thank you. What an amazing tour! It's great to see old equipment refurbished and still working. Really enjoyed that.
Nice tour. So glad that you guys got a business working on these cars. Hardest part of owning a vintage car is getting someone to fix it if your not knowledgeable yourself. Have a 58 Chev I'd love to bring but I'm a ways away in Winnipeg and that thing would be a spaceship compared to a Model A.
That tour would be great content. I know it would bea bit of a pain to film while doing it. However I believe it would make for a good video. 🙏
* Good installment gents ! Beautiful restored cars. You guys are so lucky to find and buy all the machines to do your work. You must be quickly becoming the preeminent garage in western Canada for early Ford and other makes repairs. And Not A Cheeseball In Sight !!! Lol ! 🤭👍
I suppose if you lived on the coast of British Columbia, you might think of Alberta as central Canada, but Alberta is normally considered western Canada.
@@clark9992Oops ... Stupid Yankee 😖
I was just on TH-cam listening to Matt play the mandolin. He and his sister are an outstanding Bluegrass duo. We should all sent Matt a pair of Kevlar gloves, so he never hurt his hands working on cars or racing Model T's. Not sure what to get for Jim. Perhaps a big coffee cup and a back brace for that rough farm work.
Yeah I learned about doing wood grain paint at McPherson College about 30 years ago we used yellows and Browns artist paint with sponges and gave the impression of wood grain and then covered it with clear. I still got a couple pieces I did for grading and taking to perspective employers haha.
Excellent video, thank you, fellas. I snort-laughed at Matt’s drive-thru comment! Your videos are really educational and refreshing, thank you from a proud Aussie patreon member.
Always a treat to watch you guys. It makes me wonder how you manage to get all the stuff done. Only so many hours in the day and you both have lives away from the shop. Anyway, always entertaining and packed with knowledge and history.
Hey guys! Summer’s almost over. September in a week. But…nice to hear from you anyway.
Shout out from Southern New England. Love to see your cars and workshop. Old Fords are still very popular, and I just want to wish you continued success !! ...Ole Ford Fan....
Great to hear bonnet not hood.Cheers from downunder
It's good to know that 'bonnets' and 'buggeration' are alive and well in Bruderheim. Keep up the linguistic connection with the Motherland.👍 The roadster pickup is tasty! What is the chrome gubbins at the foot of the windscreen? (You know, I'm a bit like a Model A myself - old and leaky and my horn don't work.) 😁 Looking forward to seeing some footage of you and the CWM crew at the T races.
How about showing pouring some babbitt. A long -lost art I have never seen thank you stay safe ALL
Love you guys gives me something forward to look to seeing on you Facebook TH-camrs you know love the Canadian a
I love that Dodge Crew Cab even though it’s very new compared to other stuff in the shop it looks very nice great update!
Thanks guys, great for the feed back on your projects your getting a very impressive enginerring shop piece by piece.
You guys are absolute treasures 👍
Always can't wait for the next episode👍👍👏👏
Excellent video, Team Strong's! Sweet rides! Your tooling continues to improve! Good for you and the vehicles you get to use them on! Thanks for the very enjoyable content!
Wow that model a is fantastic Better hide that Scott will want it man that thing's nice way better than original you guys did a nice job on that no more leaks that's good not like a Harley
Cool stuff guys 👍 I've done some babbitt on train bearings, it's definitely a process. Great collection of awesome old equipment you have growing there 🍻
Bonnie and Clyde will be drooling on the tee
Wish I had access to your shop, fantastic equipment and cool old vibe. Great stuff gentlemen.
WOW!!!
A great video guy's! Beautiful cars, fantastic equipment for the shop and the shop is looking great.
The shopis full of cool stuff to come. Can't wait !!!
Matt. Jim, great show . Love all the vehicles you're working on. I picked up a '29 Ford coupe today and if I were closer I'd have you give it the once over.
Great show guys, glad you are doing what you do.
Cheers from Wisconsin
I'm struggling to think of a youtube video that I have enjoyed watching more than this one.
T's and A's ( I am a T and A man and yes that is also a euphemism) and not a small block Chev to be seen. If I owned your shop and a sbc old Ford came in I would tell them to fornicate far away.
That milling machine just blows my mind! WOW!! What a bloody beauty eh? Jeez they don't make stuff like that anymore. No computer programming knowledge required to operate it. Just 4 years studying to be a metal machinist. Such a great trade.
I'm really looking forward to the T race video. Can't wait! cheers.
Thanks for the shop tour guy's...🇺🇸
thanks for the update
Great video guys! Thanks for bringing us along! Art, from the coast of Maine.
It is hard to believe Ford was still selling These Obsolete cars as late as 1927! They are neat to see in a car show, But My Grand father owned one and they were Crude.
Great videos. Anchorage Alaska is watching you
Love the 32 hot rod ❤
I just love to step into a different time and a different pace each time I watch one of your videos.
Love the truck looking forward to seeing it
I’m guessing all that completed work is on the Patreon page? Great update. Felt like I missed some awesome content, though. Good work guys.
Like 442, Nice work guys
Nice work.👍
Nice HAT to go with the old car's. I once had a straw hat like that I got a lot of compliments hat you don't often see people wearing any more. My Pop's told me they were really popular in the 1930s. In the 40s switched over to wool or felt hats. Hats were popular because people spent more time out doors so they needed some type of head covering depending where you were employed or what you were doing. Now day's the ball cap style is most popular cap/hat men and women are wearing. Ladies had labrated head wear back in the 1920s 30s 40s. In the 1950s they styled there hair 60s they had the bee hive hair style.
Summer Shop
Awesome update!
Great cars! What about that Dodge Pickup truck on the back?
Love the show, but what about the crew cab Sweptline ??

Holy smokes a milling machine and a smelter too
Love what you're doing
I was so bummed that you said nothing about the green sweepline four door dodge truck. That thing looks amazing
Love the colors also
That’s a sweet T 30 A
Yeah you’re probably looking forward for the tour me too
Did you guys get to watch Merlin's old school garage drive a modal A from Ohio to western Arizona? Did you know you can change a connecting rod without removing the head on a A?
That's so cool you caught that.I'm sharing this video on his sight so he'll have another source for parts and work.
You guys have been busy!!!
I have never seen a custombuilt camper for a model A or a T.........🤔😊
Ding ding YEAH!!
Oh yeah
great video, thanks!
great machines how about green dodge truck Thanx
Is that Matt Hotte?
