Oort Cloud: Real Edge Of The Solar System | 47 ARENA

Oort Cloud is one of the most mysterious region in the Solar System. Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 are the 2 man made spacecrafts that have left Solar System so far. They passed the Heliopause where Sun's solar wind stops. Heliopause is considered as the edge of the Solar System. But, there is another region called the Oort Cloud. This is the region where Sun's gravity is strong enough to hold objects around it. This region is so far away from the Sun. Oort Cloud only begins at a distance of 2000 Astronomical Unit, which is 2000 times the distance from Sun to Earth. The outer edge is so far that our Sun will look like any other star in the Milky Way. Outer edge is thought to be about 100000 Astronomical Unit far away from Sun, which is actually 1.5 light years. It is about 1/3 of distance between the nearest star Proxima Centauri and Sun. Most of the Comets are thought to be coming from the Oort Cloud.
