Historic buildings are what make towns and small cities unique. In as much as the places develop, but I don’t think we should completely do away with them.

Not every place needs to be modernised, there's a certain charm about maintaining the original look of a place the key is to look after it well. Why do you think people flock to Europe to visit every year? Because Europe is not rushing to modernise, they don't even care for skyscrapers.
