I work at fairs and markets. "Pasele amigos! Pasele jovenes!" is our "catch phrase". It only works if you are Mexican😑 Another problem is at some markets watch out for the "gringo" price! It can easily be doubled😬 If you want to seem less foreign when asking for prices say, "A cómo das" el kilo de...?, instead of cuanto costa...? And if they bs prices just respond, "No me diga mama made mirewaï!" Jajaja🤣🤣🤣

Go with a Mexican or always to the same stands. They'll be less greedy. And the last phrase is a semi-vulgar way of saying "you're shitting me" lol😂😂

You can look at my response just above your comment. Just a slang term for you're shitting me (with me)😅

In Medellín I noticed that even regular stores often had someone outside the door (often the store owner) talking to passers-by on the sidewalks trying to get them into their stores. In the U.S. we only have those guys holding up signs.

Fried chicken livers is a common menu item in southern (US) restaurants. But nowadays you can't count on any being inside a whole bird. It's getting to where if you want chicken livers you have to buy them separately. It wasn't always that way.
