I bought this TV in 77". I also bought the Sony 7.2 receiver, Klipsch speakers and the Panasonic ub820 blu ray player. What really sold me on this TV was the whites were really white, giving me whites like an led and blacks like an OLED.
I just brought the sony A95k master series and bloody love it, it has beautiful picture and excellent sound quality along with a robust design slim and sleek, i will not upgrade for the next 7 year's atleast

I had this and returned it for the lg g3 and I’m in love with the lg g3. They both great tv’s just when I see the g3 a week after buying my Sony I was amazed how beautiful the tv felt more premium. Picture quality was on par with each other at times one looked better then the other and vice versa depending on content watched. They both great just down to what personal preference I guess

In the video you mentioned that if 2 screws were loosened on the back panel then this might allow the power cable to be removed so a longer one could be used instead. Have you been able to determine whether this is possible?

Great video Paul but personally I think Panasonic oled is best picture I have ever seen and HDMI 2.1 120 on all 4 hdmi you should try one day if you get the chance it will blow your mind.👌👌👍
Nice video Paul. You mentioned some things other Tubers skip over. I will mention in comments about the power lead on Brian's Tech Therapy when he has Rob Brennan from Sony in a Q and A again. I think it should be a kettle plug type connector and a 2 mtr lead. Also that webcam I think is a problem. If you wall mount the tv then how are you supposed to turn off the webcam. Might be ok if you are 6.5 and over!
For the price difference especially at the moment, the lg g3 is a steal in the uk plus the fact of 4 hdmi 2.1s built in, sony is the better tv but its not better at almost twice the cost

I would love this TV as I'm a mega Sony fan and they really do have the best processors around. I know you pay the Sony tax but they really are having a comeback as I remember years ago they flopped and the likes of Samsung came out of nowhere and took over the market. I am interested in seeing the new 'Philips 959+ oled' at the end of this year as this is going to have an epic speaker setup and would love it if you could review this which will be close to the Christmas period. I would have to say that comparing the 65 inch Sony A95L at $3,495 to the LG 65 inch G3 at $2,295 that I would easily choose the LG and save myself some serious money for a picture that would look very similar. The Samsung s95c in the 65 inch model is also only $2,295 and it has fantastic picture quality and again saving a great deal of money that could be better spent on a very nice sound bar.

Mate could you please do me a favour, I have just brought mine two weeks ago and have just noticed while cleaning it with my microfibre, that a few inches to the right of the camera from the top down to the middle of the tv screen I have a very faint black line that you can see when it’s off, you can only see when right next to it looking left to right on the angle, I’ve rang Sony and also doing some googling and think it might be banding? Not sure though if you can/should see banding when off? Could you please let me know if your screen has this thanks.
@@TheTechGiantTH-cam thanks mate, I’m from London but live in Australia, I had a Samsung S95B for 7 months and the tv one day decided to not turn back on, power supply shit itself, went to battle with the retailer and finally got my money back, I thought this time I would go Sony as the premium build quality and superior processing to Samsung, got an amazing deal on Black Friday and paid $4600 for 65 A95L $1600 more then S95B, waited 3 bloody months as no one has them in stock here, got to say I’m mighty impressed and blown away with this tv until I notice this weird black mark. 😞 can’t see it when on unless I do a greyscale TH-cam test and at 70 percent grey I can clearly see it, don’t want to play the panel lottery sending it back as the next one could be worse, hoping you tell me yours has it, might be oled join in the screen or even the speaker actuators behind? Some forums have suggested it’s banding and it will go after 100 hours use but I’m not sure it will, someone also suggested a panel refresh but on a brand new tv I’m very cautious of that as tv tells you once a year or less to run one.

I think you're gonna prefer your G3 with you being a gamer and the Sony only having the two 4k 2.1ports. The price- point also a big thing! Don't think there's much doubt that picture/motion/processing is better on the Sony tho!? I have the A80L as I'm more of a TV/Movie watcher and barely game at all. Look forward to seeing the review of the A95L👍

It's gotta be the SONY I've had the LG C3 and wasn't too happy I then got the SONY XR-65A80L the Sony is so much better more cinematic and better colours and better motion and much better upscaling of SDR standard non hi def images especially standard terrestrial channels

Getting the G3 and dumping my A95K. I don't like only 2 2.1, I don't like the glare, I don't like the dirty screen that you can't clean easily, and I also don't like the blooming that appears months later.

Whilst you can buy a switcher, at this price point you shouldn’t have to buy extras. Other manufacturers manage to make all of their HDMIs 2.1, so Sony don’t really have much excuse not to do the same.
@@Jordanfiend361 If the G4 comes close to the A95L then why would I do that? G4 will have a new processor. If it is similar to Sony image processing, I would rather get the G4. Let's wait and see what the G4 can do. C4, on the other hand, will be trash.
For UK viewers, this TV does not have Freesat, and seems to be the only one in the Sony range that doesn’t. It’s not clear to me if Sony ever intended to enable it on this TV.

The one thing that irritates me is when sony or other tv manufacturers use eARC on the same hdmi as the 4k 120hrtz, this shouldn't be even happening on a tv that expensive, this model also has the same tv stand as my sony oled it seems, pretty slick Wait what? 😱😱 What kind of remote is that? It looks like one of those cheap third party remotes you can buy! smh that separate remote seems to be for audio equipment? as i have a similar one for my speaker I'm curious as to what is the camera attachment used for?
I can’t understand the small cable being sealed in and so short. If your wall mounting it through an existing set up you not going to be feeding a uk plug through a channel.

I bought this TV in 77". I also bought the Sony 7.2 receiver, Klipsch speakers and the Panasonic ub820 blu ray player. What really sold me on this TV was the whites were really white, giving me whites like an led and blacks like an OLED.

I had this and returned it for the lg g3 and I’m in love with the lg g3. They both great tv’s just when I see the g3 a week after buying my Sony I was amazed how beautiful the tv felt more premium. Picture quality was on par with each other at times one looked better then the other and vice versa depending on content watched. They both great just down to what personal preference I guess

In the video you mentioned that if 2 screws were loosened on the back panel then this might allow the power cable to be removed so a longer one could be used instead. Have you been able to determine whether this is possible?

Nice video Paul. You mentioned some things other Tubers skip over. I will mention in comments about the power lead on Brian's Tech Therapy when he has Rob Brennan from Sony in a Q and A again. I think it should be a kettle plug type connector and a 2 mtr lead.
Also that webcam I think is a problem. If you wall mount the tv then how are you supposed to turn off the webcam. Might be ok if you are 6.5 and over!

For the price difference especially at the moment, the lg g3 is a steal in the uk plus the fact of 4 hdmi 2.1s built in, sony is the better tv but its not better at almost twice the cost
The G3 does seem very good value when compared to the Sony

I would love this TV as I'm a mega Sony fan and they really do have the best processors around. I know you pay the Sony tax but they really are having a comeback as I remember years ago they flopped and the likes of Samsung came out of nowhere and took over the market.
I am interested in seeing the new 'Philips 959+ oled' at the end of this year as this is going to have an epic speaker setup and would love it if you could review this which will be close to the Christmas period.

I would have to say that comparing the 65 inch Sony A95L at $3,495 to the LG 65 inch G3 at $2,295 that I would easily choose the LG and save myself some serious money for a picture that would look very similar.
The Samsung s95c in the 65 inch model is also only $2,295 and it has fantastic picture quality and again saving a great deal of money that could be better spent on a very nice sound bar.

Mate could you please do me a favour, I have just brought mine two weeks ago and have just noticed while cleaning it with my microfibre, that a few inches to the right of the camera from the top down to the middle of the tv screen I have a very faint black line that you can see when it’s off, you can only see when right next to it looking left to right on the angle, I’ve rang Sony and also doing some googling and think it might be banding? Not sure though if you can/should see banding when off? Could you please let me know if your screen has this thanks.

@@TheTechGiantTH-cam thanks mate, I’m from London but live in Australia, I had a Samsung S95B for 7 months and the tv one day decided to not turn back on, power supply shit itself, went to battle with the retailer and finally got my money back, I thought this time I would go Sony as the premium build quality and superior processing to Samsung, got an amazing deal on Black Friday and paid $4600 for 65 A95L $1600 more then S95B, waited 3 bloody months as no one has them in stock here, got to say I’m mighty impressed and blown away with this tv until I notice this weird black mark. 😞 can’t see it when on unless I do a greyscale TH-cam test and at 70 percent grey I can clearly see it, don’t want to play the panel lottery sending it back as the next one could be worse, hoping you tell me yours has it, might be oled join in the screen or even the speaker actuators behind? Some forums have suggested it’s banding and it will go after 100 hours use but I’m not sure it will, someone also suggested a panel refresh but on a brand new tv I’m very cautious of that as tv tells you once a year or less to run one.

I think you're gonna prefer your G3 with you being a gamer and the Sony only having the two 4k 2.1ports. The price- point also a big thing! Don't think there's much doubt that picture/motion/processing is better on the Sony tho!? I have the A80L as I'm more of a TV/Movie watcher and barely game at all. Getting the G3 and dumping my A95K. I don't like only 2 2.1, I don't like the glare, I don't like the dirty screen that you can't clean easily, and I also don't like the blooming that appears months later.

please try it and show us i do have hard drive i save my photo as folders for example folder 2020 photo 2022 folder 2024 photos as Samsung all the photo come with no folder 📂 i dont know if they fix that or not but i do have Lg the folders come but a bit slow to View thank u very much i hope u do a vedio for us as now alot of people View the photo on tv and save them in Dard drive
For me only 2 x HDMI 2.1 was a deal breaker which is why I avoided the A95L last year. I waited and will get the LG G4 instead.
Just buy a switcher that way u have the best picture available and more hdmi
That’s More of an excuse. I got me a 2.1 switcher for $25 and it works flawlessly. Easy cheap solution
Whilst you can buy a switcher, at this price point you shouldn’t have to buy extras. Other manufacturers manage to make all of their HDMIs 2.1, so Sony don’t really have much excuse not to do the same.

A95M in 2024 may have 4 HDMI 2.1 ports
For UK viewers, this TV does not have Freesat, and seems to be the only one in the Sony range that doesn’t. It’s not clear to me if Sony ever intended to enable it on this TV.

Not for A95K and A95L they use Samsung QD OLED panels much better than LG OLED panels of A80 and A90 series

You can get 4k tvs for 350€ save up for one 😊 it probably won't be the best but should be 1000times better than your current tv

From what I’ve seen so far, I’d go for the 77 inch G3. You get far more impact with the extra size vs a slight improvement on the picture quality.

All depends on what size room it’s in. But TVs are generally far bigger now than they were a few years ago.

How u compare the Sharpness of A95L to s95C?
The one thing that irritates me is when sony or other tv manufacturers use eARC on the same hdmi as the 4k 120hrtz, this shouldn't be even happening on a tv that expensive, this model also has the same tv stand as my sony oled it seems, pretty slick
