Hey so actually there is something I believe you might have missed in this video! According to other creators the pixel watch never actually charges via wireless power share or through any other charger than the one it comes with despite showing the charging screen. Did that happen with you? Wonderful video as always btw 🔥

This was hands down the most comprehensive & engaging video I've come across on the pixel watch
The last tip blew my mind! No longer will I need to worry about my watch dying on me during the day. Just flip my phone, give it a quick charge and be on my way!
Great video!! Only thing the watch doesn't actually charge using battery share on the Pixel. It says that it's charging, but won't actually top off the battery.
Does it keep it alive? Will it charge it a little bit? Trickle charge?

Comprehensive video. Def makes me want this watch. Its pretty affordable too. Im just a little confused still on if I have to pay a subscription to fitbit to get some of the features you mentioned like location tracking for my running ?

Just an FYI, the battery share doesn't work. The watch doesn't use a standard implementation of QI charging. It lights up to say it's charging but then disables the feature on the phone and does nothing. In the same way you can get the animation with a Samsung or Apple watch charger.
Just discovered your channel, subscribed after watching the first video, that's wild.
This video was great! A lot of features was provided that I didn't even know the watch did! I know the feature is simple but love the idea of being able to use your watch to take pictures on your phone instead of having to worry about a Bluetooth remote.
I have some pre-order credits that I am planning on spending but the main issue is wondering if I should just wait for the Pixel Watch 2 or see if I can catch a bigger sale on the 1st Gen Pixel watch.
The watch is might be cool and top-notch, but you and the content are just next level. Been in love with the videos by just watching 3/4 of videos in a few days. Awesome

The good thing is that you can enjoy most of these features with any supported WearOS device. I'm using the Galaxy Watch 4 classic and loving it. Nice helpful video tho ❤️

the craziest thing about the camera control is that it can connect over internet, so if you go out without your phone you can still controll your camera and see your home I guess. Or setup a super zoom shot too.
Do u know if u can control the video on the camera?? All these reviewers only mention the photo. So frustrating

I just acquired the Pixel Watch this week after using Apple Watch for years. So far, so good with the transition. I am disappointed that the Pixel Watch Alarm app is not integrated with the Android Clock app. They don't talk to each other at all.

Agreed. I bought an iPad 10 for my wife for Christmas. She was previously only a Windows & Android kinda girl. Lots of growing pains. Hayls would make the transition easy.

About battery share, Pixel phones come with automatic battery share which allows to start battery share if you have your phone flipped around and something on it in charging position..
Hi Hayls, I have the pixel minimal watch face on my Google pixel watch and I'm just wondering that does the battery life of the phone update itself on the Google pixel. Watch when disconnected from the phone

The Apple Watch is way better than the Pixel Watch. It is missing Ultra Wide Band support. Square smartwatches are better to use than cicrle smartwatches. Circle smartwatches have unused space.

It is good for a first generation product. But I prefer for it to have Ultra Wideband support.
Really great video, informative and entertaining. With all the amazing features this looks like a great watch to get, but I had to pass over it due to the lack of battery. I really like that remote camera feature, reminds me of using the Galaxy Note Pen to take photos, but that's not enough of a wow to make up for getting 10-40 hours of usage per charge and then the subscription fees on the Pixel. I ended up going with a Garmin that could get 2 weeks of usage on a single charge. It's a different beast from the Pixel. Garmin is a fitness watch that has a few smartwatch features rather than a smartwatch that can do some fitness like the Pixel. A lot of what the Pixel can do are just repeats of phone features, so I don't really feel that I'm missing out. Then on top of that, all the analysis of the fitness data you get with the Pixel is locked behind a Fitbit paywall. Garmin gives you double the features and no paywall.
I also think 12+ hours battery a day is turnoffs to me
My plan is to wait for 2nd generation of pixel watch to increase the battery time and maybe discontinue monthly thingy that they are doing
@@boodesultan12 My prediction: Google may fix the Pixel Watch's battery life via software or in the next Gen, but I really doubt they will stop their Fitbit monthly sub cash cow. I refuse to buy something but have to pay monthly to use all of its features. Honestly I'd rather spend $1000 on a Garmin and never pay a cent again than pay $350 on a watch then pay $80 every year.
I bought the pixel 7 pro after watching your video. I might now buy the pixel watch too. My only question is can it support pdf reader and web browser?

Is there a way to get the camera app to work on any android phone? Or do you need a Google pixel phone for it to work?
I've seen a lot of complaints about this watch. It looks really promising, though. I hope the next iteration is even better so I can ditch my Apple Watch. For now I'm keeping it and just letting it sync with my iPhone at home.
