I’m from the uk and I’m a musician , it’s been my dream for awhile to go to Nashville and just spend some time there and look around and do things such as go to a few shows and just immerse myself in the culture because it seems absolutely amazing there
FYI Schermerhorn is pronounced (sker-mer-horn). So glad you didn’t try to pronounce Demonbreun Street. Nice video but from a local, please don’t advertise those tractors and party busses. They can get out of control really fast with people partying too much. Alcohol and motion can be a really dangerous thing even if you aren’t driving. Most locals loath the party barges and bachelorettes. We don’t need anyone to popularize those two things. Instead of those, you should have mentioned Nashville’s history with the civil rights movement and the National Museum of African American music. Did you know what became “Soul Train” has its roots in Nashville? I would’ve left off Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg because they are definitely not Nashville and really deserve their own video. During the busy season, it’s closer to 4 hours or more due to traffic to get to the Smokies. I would’ve mentioned the historic sites for the Nashville lunch counter sit-ins instead. Plus you have to mention Printer’s Alley in any Nashville video. Sorry, don’t want to come across as a downer on your video. Quite the contrary, it is a lovely produced video and definitely hits a lot of city’s best to do’s. I really enjoyed it and thank you for highlighting my city. We really love tourists here and welcome them! We just don’t need any more bachelorettes and party busses. Locals have had there fill of them for sure.
@@Haloregino I’ve lived in Nashville since 1978, definitely has high crime. I’ve been robbed at knifepoint, raped, burgled, and my husband was held up at gunpoint. And we live in a decent neighborhood. A lot of the people moving in are criminals coming from other high-crime cities in the USA. We hear news stories of tourists, especially from Europe, being robbed. If you visit, don’t wear a cowboy hat (marks you as a tourist), and stay in brightly lit places with other people you know. Lower Broad has a lot of assaults and stabbings.
@cyn37211 so sad to heard that, I have to go to Nashvile start September. I take an Internship at Gaylord Opryland resort. And maybe it would be the first time to US. I am a student and how to make me save 😞 now im afraid.
@@Haloregino I didn’t mean to scare anyone, but if you’re going to be working for Gaylord, they’ll probably take really good care of you. My husband worked at the hotel, it’s really gorgeous. As long as you stick to the safe areas, you’ll be fine. You can google areas to avoid. Most of the people who get in trouble downtown were involved in heavy drinking or drugs. Some crooks will try to hit on tourists, because they know even if they get caught, the tourists aren’t going to stick around waiting for a trial. Good luck with your internship! And, you’ll probably be there for Christmas, when they have one of the most beautiful displays of lighting in the USA.
