Today the E8 has been updated, it is the E8 (EC) with the P.A.G.2 grinder and a 3.5’ screen.
This excellent machine with a new color is currently only available in Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

You can use any milk (dairy or non-dairy)...
2% regular cold milk froths the best.
Keep in mind the fat and protein makeup will alter the end result. Rice milk for example does not froth well. But, nondairy milks such as soy, oat, and almond froth well.

awesome video. i wish the milk frother had the leaver on it so i can reduce the amount of foam myself as i do not like the amount of foam the machines make, i like latte wher you get a small amount of foam on top like a coffee shop.

Thanks for the message. Ah, I see. Yes the E8 will allow you to adjust the volume of milk but not the quantity of foam.

Hello, I just purchased the Jura WE 8...and so far, so good. My question has to do with the preground coffee beans. Once you add coffee ground beans to the back of the machine....how does the jura know that you want that option versus the grind your own beans? Thank you

Thanks for this! Why do your beverage icons have names? Mine are just pictures. How do I get mine to show names?
Hey Andrew, great question.
You can access this in the menu settings. You can select to have just icons or you can select to have the names underneath.
Then you can keep the names as originally provided by Jura, or you can rename them as a person's name.

How often I need to clean milk system? How the machine finishes the job for the day/morning or even after my only one cap of coffee in the morning? What I need to do when I am done with my coffee for the day?
Also I have Cooling system attached. Any additional tack for cleaning?

The machine will prompt you to do a milk clean cycle after your milk based beverage, or it will ask if you would rather clean it later.
At the end of each day, ensure you perform a milk clean cycle.

Hi Angie, just bought this machine yesterday and set this up. I am not sure why but on the screeen it only show the pictues of each off it dose not say the name like yours shows in your video. Is that a setting ?
Hey Anthony, you can certainly adjust that within the main menu settings. Scroll into the cockpit and you will find an option to adjust your main menu.

I have had positive experiences with the Jura J.O.E app. I have used it on numerous Jura espresso machines as well.
We get positive feedback from our customers too.
I am a fan of the app personally. I enjoy using the 'order' feature while entertaining. I also like accessing the maintenance details and even creating or customizing my beverages on the app.
The smart connect works via Bluetooth (the blue colour one). While the wifi connect works through wifi (the white colour one).

If there are beans in the machine, is there an easy way to change them if you want a different roast?
Hey there, great question.
The unit has one grinder only. You'd have to tilt the machine of its side to get the beans out.
But, the great thing is that the machine has a bypass chute. This chute is used for preground coffee only. Therefore, if you want a decaf at night, jsut buy it in a preground form and use the bypass chute.

I just got this model, not sure why anyone would need an app to make coffee it's "1" button. Isn't that easy enough ? The reviews on the app suck so why fight it? Add cup, press button. You can almost do that while sleepwalking.

The app offers more than just brewing beverages. You can check the maintenance section, the Jura resource section, order cleaning supplies, as well as the guest order feature.
The unit can function of course with out the app, but some decide to purchase it for the extra features.

Love my E8 Except for the $20 a month filter cost! Be prepared for this additional cost! Jura has not allowed different companies to manufacture the filter this has allowed the to increase the cost $5 per filter since I purchased the coffee maker.

Jura machines will require:
water filter
brewing unit cleaning tablets (once per month)
milk clean cycle (if the Jura has a milk frother) at the end of the day
When using the Smart Claris water filter that is compatible with the E8 line, you do not need to descale your machine.
The machine will indicate when a new water filter is needed, this is determined on the water hardness setting on your machine based on the water test strip of your local water when you first set up the machine. If the water hardness is higher is your area, the machine will prompt you to change it more frequently. If you are in Toronto for example, our water here is low hardness (level 1). Each machine, and each brand comes with a water hardness test strip, it helps the machine know what type of water is being used and how often cleaning, maintenance, etc need to be done.
