    So I like espresso drinks as a treat every few days but my morning ful cup of coffee is a must. I can’t find a smoother tasting coffee than my nespresso Vertuo full size regular coffee. Any drip machine I’ve tried makes THE WORST burnt tasting regular coffee. Does the Jura coffee taste as smooth as the espresso? Or is the espresso the start in these machines?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi r, Thanks for the questions. Both of these Jura machines change how they brew based on the drink being made. For espresso, the machines both use PEP: Pulse Extraction Process. For larger coffees, PEP is not used to avoid over-extracting the ground coffee. I'm drinking a coffee made on the ENA 8 as write this. I also need a full cup ASAP in the morning! Burnt taste might be more about the coffee used. Mine does not taste burnt. Both machines have adjustable grinders. If coffee has bitter notes, one can adjust the grind size coarser to correct.
      Hope that helps!

    Hi Mark, I love your videos of all the different brands for super automatic machines. On the Jura ENA 8, the interesting cylindrical water container has what appears a very large filter in it. How much water actually gets in there when the filter is in? It looks like it displaces a significant amt. of water.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Bruce, Thanks for the kind comment. I had the same thought when I first saw the filter in the reservoir. Just measured and the filter displaces ~4oz/120ml of water. Looks like it would be a lot more given the apparent size but the upper portion is a carrier and is hollow.

      @@Wholelattelovepage I just bought the Jura ENA8 last week and have been using it trying all the drinks, etc. It's a lovely, clever and makes great tasting espresso/coffee. The TNT screen tells you when to fill the tank with water, change the filter, which is nice. I find the water tank so easy to remove and fill anyway, Jura has made up for size!

    HI ...I am comparing the ENA8 and E8 for my home use. I have a couple of questions:
    1. Is the milk frother on the ENA8 adjustable (like the E8)?
    2. How big is the bean reservoir on the E8.
    3. What do you do with the milk tube when you are done making coffee in the morning?
    4. What's the difference between the E8 15270, 15097 and 15271?
    Thanks

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Patsi, Thanks for the questions!
      1. No, it's a single froth type on the ENA 8.
      2. 9.9oz bean capacity on in E8
      3. Rinse
      4. 15270 is black, 15271 has chrome color front panels, 15097 is an older model with a different milk frothing component a dial adjustment instead of newer lever.
      Hope that helps!

    Hi Mark. thank you for all the great videos.
    I have just purchased an E8 for my wife(I don't drink coffee) and she loves it.
    Mark I noticed in one of your other videos that you like a "flat white" on occasion.
    My wife too likes a flat white and loves the taste and texture combination(not much froth). Our machine is the latest version(without the adjustable foaming lever thingy).
    For my wife her Flat whites have next to no froth. Is there a way to almost NO froth out of the(settings) automated FLAT WHITE cycle?
    Again thanks for all the great videos😃 (gee, I wished I liked coffee!!)
    Regards

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Peter, You are welcome for the videos!
      Yes I do like a flat white - if I do milk drinks I like them more coffee forward in flavor.
      I'm a bit confused. Are you saying she gets too much froth now and wants less? There are no adjustments for froth type in settings for milk drinks. A couple of ideas if that's what she's looking for. Raise the spouts as far as possible above the cup when making the drink. A longer drop to your cup can help break up the bubbles. You could do the espresso and then do the milk into a separate cup. Then pour the milk between 2 cups to break up larger bubbles and then pour over the espresso. Or do the froth into a separate cup, preferably a milk frothing pitcher and knock and swirl the pitcher to break up larger bubbles before pouring over espresso. Not certain that's what you were asking but hopefully it helps.

Only just started to use it again, as i have been utilizing my ECM for a while.But theirs no comparison in the coffee brew for using a semi automatic to a fully automatic machine?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi J, Thanks for the comment! Jura has done an excellent job. There PEP brewing was a big advance in espresso quality. Semi-autos def have the capability of producing exceptional quality but it does take skill and knowledge to get there. Super-autos are great for consistent, quick, easy convenience.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rhys, Milk temps from machines which automatically froth run 125 - 140F/52 - 60C. That's in milks sweet zone and the temps well trained baristas use for best flavor. Final temps depend on starting milk temp. If you prefer extra hot milk you might consider a machine with manual frothing which gives you complete control of final milk temperature. The Gaggia Accademia has manual frothing and an auto-frothing carafe. Also has a heated cup warmer. In our tests the Accademia carafe dispensed frothed milk at 136F/58C from milk starting at 45F/7C. If interested, you can learn more about the Accademia in this video: th-cam.com/video/jZWS38_Jge4/w-d-xo.html

    How strong are the espressos for the A1? I don't want milk from a tube that I have to clean but it would be great to have just my shot made maybe if its comparable to manual espresso. I'm on fence of that or bambino plus...thanks!!

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi michelle, Thanks for the question. No doubt you can make a stronger shot in a single go on a manual machine but it's a lot more work than pressing a button and the machine does the rest. The A1 has a max coffee dose of 10g per brew cycle. Run 2 short shots and you'd have a stronger espresso than on the Bambino.

    Is there a way to make coffee art with any of this? I saw somewhere that you can buy an little accessory that allows you to froth manually. I’d like to buy the Jura if I can also have the option to manually froth. Seems the only automatic where I can do this is the gaggia academia

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Sunny, Thanks for the question. No accessory I'm aware of for manual frothing on Jura machines. For Gaggia machines which come with an autofrothing Pannarello Wand there is the Latte Art Wand which can do both automatic and manual frothing by removing the sleeve. The Gaggia Accademia and Babila models have a built in manual frothing wand in addition to automated frothing from a carafe. There's also the Gaggia Magenta Plus and the Gaggia Cadorna Barista Plus which have traditionally styled manual frothing wands. Both can froth to latte art quality. Wand on the Cadorna model is longer than the Magenta's.
      Check them out here:

This video was made a couple of years ago - so even more now than back then. Where the were different was in ease of use features and aesthetic design.

    Hi. For ENA 8, can the machine make a mocha?
    Pls teach us.

      Hi Austin, Thanks for the question. Yes it can but you will need to add the chocolate before or after drink prep manually.

    Hi Marc, what is the temperature of the milk coming out of the spout for these two machines?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi T3RM, Thanks for the question. Milk temps out of the spouts generally range from 125-145F. Where it falls in that range depends on ambient factors.

    Is there any Jura model with build in milk storage ??

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi TM, Thanks for the question. All Jura machines use a pick-up tube for bringing milk to the frothing components. None have internal milk storage. They do have the Cool Control which is a self contained refrigerated accessory for a constant milk supply: www.wholelattelove.com/products/cool-control-34-oz

    Can you do a comparison of Ena 8 va Gaggia Cadorna Prestige?

      @@Wholelattelovepage Thank you for your reply.
      After watching the provided video, I believe I have found the machine that I want (and the With the milk cooler).
      So with that, here’s question #2:
      We like a full dark roast, We buy our bags @ Costco (Starbucks French roast, or Kirkland branded blends such as Rwanda/Guatemala/French Roast). Used to order a Nice Dark Roast from “Cafe Britt” in Costa Rica (till customs cost heavily increased. So as you can see we love our DARK Coffee.
      So hear comes the question: Knowing the above info, and having your knowledge (and your favourites), i ask which BRAND/Type would you recommend for us to try (and why you thought so)
      P.S. love the glass cup that you have. Do you guys sell them or recommend a place to purchase.
      Once again, Thank you
      P.P.S. Love your videos. Keep up the excellent presentations

    Great video. I think what ruins the ENA 8 for me is the tiny water thank. Way too small for a machine in this price range.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Paul, Thanks for the comment. Yes, the ENA 8 does have a smaller water reservoir. More appropriate for use by house of 1-2 people who don't do a lot of longer coffee beverages - or don't mind refilling water more often.

    have watched the video, thank you! considering ENA8 vs S8 - very interested in knowing whether the ENA8 allows for saving preferences for various coffees under different names - like Marc's coffee, Diane's coffee?
    Also can the SmartConnect connect with Alexa? thank you very much!

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey AMR, Marc here from Whole Latte love... You are welcome and thanks for the question. You can change preferences for various drinks on the machine but you cannot change the names of the drinks on the machine. With SmartConnect and the J.O.E. app you can save custom drinks with new names within the app and make those from the app. I have only used voice control using the app on Apple devices using Siri. You can download the J.O.E app for Android and Apple here: us.jura.com/en/homeproducts/accessories/JOE?US&US-en& More information on app capabilities at that link as well. I'm not certain, but you may be able to test Alexa compatibility by installing the app on your device without a machine. Hope that helps. There are 2 more videos on the ENA 8 available at this link: www.wholelattelove.com/collections/super-automatic-espresso-machines/products/jura-ena-8-espresso-machine-in-black Scroll down for the videos. There's an extended feature review shot at Jura's US headquarters in NJ and an In-Home review which gives a great perspective on real world daily use.

    Blah, blah, blah about obvious features, but what is inside? What the inner design difference? What the components? What about reliability?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi KL, Both machines use similar internal components for brewing and have similar expected reliability. Most important factor in reliability is user maintenance. So use a water filter as recommended by Jura and you never have to descale or descale when the machine alerts to do so. Scale is the number one cause of problems in super-automatic machines.
