Slow living isn’t a trend for me. It's a lifestyle I have embraced for years; I learned it from my mom and grandma. We always just took our time to enjoy the beauty of the everyday. I’m a romantic at heart, with a very practical lifestyle approach “ keep it simple.” I grew up on a farm, which furthered my love of simplicity and back to the basics mindset.

We moved six months ago to our cozy cottage, and we are in the process of fixing it up. I strive to make our home cozy and inviting no matter what stage of remodeling we are in. Making a home hygge and cozy is just a normal way of life for me, and I can’t imagine it any other way.

By now you know for sure that I love all of them. 🥰🥰 the rugs are gorgeous. I have a remake and we've always had very large lounge rooms so when we moved here I was so worried it wouldn't fit in the room we use as the lounge room. It fits with only enough room for our lounge and one cupboard. It has memories all over it already at 15 yrs old , I love that rug. Its time to get it out before the weather cooks actually. The glass bowl set is so pretty , I can imagine a colourful trifle in it . We have two little hanging baskets that my youngest and I keep our hair things in. 🤩🤩 thank you for taking us along . 💜💜
The rugs were the absolute find!!! Loved the pitcher and bowl as well. My grandmas house had them in the bedrooms when I was a little girl because you washed your face in the morning before coming down to breakfast. So good 😊 great vlog today. Birthday 🥳 party was great!

I love the mix of all movies! Shorts, slow living, thrifting, but maybe especially seeing the renovations and projects I want to see more of the fixing up! Can’t wait to see the plate rack shelf on the wall and whether or not you’re going to choose that vintage fridge.

I Loved the trip to the Antique Stores. You made Great purchases. My whole house is filled with Antiques collected over a 50+ span. I do have to stay clear of the stores now as I don't have many more places to put new treasures.

Hello Ms Abby, our family lived in Harbor Springs through my 6 grade then we moved to Petoskey. Loved the pitcher and bowl and wow it looked so sturdy and so pretty. The rugs were a great find for sure what treasures. I’m all about the white dishes, I think mainly because I love to bring in color in various ways, they are truly all season. I enjoy all of your videos - all types! This was fun! What a great haul! That blue rug goes perfect in its new spot. I love the red one. So rich, and it looks lovely in front of that beautiful island that you redid. I'm seeing cappuccino in those white cups. Those glass custard cups that you showed in the shop brought back memories. My Gramma had a bunch of them. And my Gramma's next door neighbor had chairs like the green metal ones on display in the shop, only theirs were red and white. So pretty on their front porch. Oh my Abby Jo. Your rugs were a perfect score. 😀😊😀. So much character and the fact that they have been well maintained are awesome. I too don’t mind the little bits of well loved wear and tear on my rugs or slightly faded vintage fabrics. I would love to visit the thrift store you mentioned just south of the bridge. It’s quite a drive for me coming from the state line near Indiana but my Grandparents lived in Vanderbilt just off 75 and I still have a niece in Grayling and family in Gaylord so perhaps one of these days, I’ll make it up that way again. I would love to visit Mackinaw Island. I’ve never been even though I’ve lived in Michigan for most of my life. I’ve been up to Marquette when my brother attended college there but that’s been so many years ago now. ❤️😊❤️. If I ever get that way back up there perhaps we could meet somewhere for tea. Thank you for continuing to share your treasure hunting, cottage decorating and home remodeling And Hygge life style with us.
