      I would like you to do a video on tuners for the average guy. Which is easiest. Which is best. From a guy who just wants a stage 1. And up. It seems to get confusing. And there are so many opinions on tuners. That it's hard to decide. I'm just wanting a stage 1. But want longevity and cooler running motor

    Best explanation of valve train on internet imo. The cavitation of the lifter(minimized in a short travel lifter) is minimal until absolute efficiency is wanted like you said for racing with 150+ hp engines. Thanks for a great video. Im subscribed looking for any other videos you put out. Thanks Sir

    If you’re spinning the pushrods after adjustment, how much resistance if any should be felt when you spin them with your fingers? feuling 574 reaper with adjustable PR and Full travel rollers.

    thank you for the info---Question: I do not see Fuelings adjustable push rod for the M8? it only states "Twin Cam" on their web site?

    • @TuckerSpeed477
      @TuckerSpeed477  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It looks like Feuling is currently only offering one piece pushrods for the M8. S&S does have adjustable pushrods available.

    What’s the advantage or disadvantage of a full travel versus a short travel lifter?

    • @TuckerSpeed477
      @TuckerSpeed477  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Biggest thing is the area under the piston inside the lifter is smaller on the short travels. There for the affects of aeration are less. Aeration will cause a decrease on valve lift, when the lifters pushes up against the pushrod it will compress the air and lessen the lift.

    I have a 24’ Road glide and just purchased the SE-511 cam kit with their pushrods/lifters. Once zero lash is set on the pushrod is it 2-1/2 or 3-1/2 turns until it’s halfway down the lifter? I can’t seem to find the info of the thread pitch on the pushrod or the depth of the lifter.

    • @theodavies8754
      @theodavies8754 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Measure the top of 10 threads with a digital Vernier. For 20 tpi 10 will equal ½" or .500. it's ok to measure the top of 5 which gives you .250 for 20 tpi. The more threads you measure the less error you get. 16 tpi will give 0.500" over 8 threads ect.
      Might have to do a bit of basic division but make sure your logic follows the rules.

I’m running 2-1 Sawicki and star 30-30 coming in. Going to upgrade my manifold and breather. I’m stuck at what lifters and pushrods though. I know star is .485 lift. Says stock springs are fine.

      @@coreyboren3476honestly the S&S quickee pushrods are a great option. We’ve been running them in a lot of builds. With your setup the S&S lifters and pushrods would work really well.

    I have a 2000 TC 88 with 15k miles, It has a tick on the front cylinder when at temp (200°).
    I pulled it apart to replace the cam chain tensioners and check pinion runout, leaving everything stock because, money.
    Everything looked very good, runout at .0025", rocker shafts tight in their bore and no slop rocker to shaft.
    I couldn't see anything wrong on the lifters. Cams show no wear.
    I went a head and put rocker lockers in it, reassembled and it still has the tick.
    I intend to put a gear drive cam kit in it, but that won't happen until next winter.
    Do you think premium lifters with adjustable rods would eliminate my Twin Cam tick?

    • @TuckerSpeed477
      @TuckerSpeed477  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, a good quality lifter and pushrod will help in quieting down the valve train.
