You could always audition for voice acting there, which would be wayyyy easier than animating. I've always wanted to animate there, which would mean if you want to animate you'd have to be introduced to 3d graphics at a young age to gain skill
they dont use any adobe software's their own computer engineer created a program only for pixar animators that is known as "marionette" once u get job there..they will teach u each and every single tool of that software.
If only I was given a chance to work there, that'd be... Wow. But even if I never get the chance Pixar is and always will be a huge inspiration to my animation story telling career.

I have been getting into animation recently so I actually understand a good amount of what they are saying, I feel like I have accomplished something already. I know that animation will have to do something with what I want to do one day, especially since my favorite hobby ever is video games, and I remember repeatedly watching a video in this game called Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, about how animation and the game creating process works. I am also aware that game making is different than CGI XD
Do you have to be an animator to work for Pixar? I'm a writer and have been doing lots of research on screenwriting and I would love to get into the field with those amazing creators
Kelsey Jeffs Not at all! You can work as a screenwriter if that's what you wish to play the role as during any production! You could even be both! 😉 (Btw sorry for the late reply lol!)
i just went there today to see monsters university it was EPIC!! I want to be a animator there someday and it just motivated me to work really hard so i can work there someday and go back.
I want to be apart of the writing production side of the story telling. Working together with a team of writers to produce the most emotionally impacting and empathetic stories possible to convey a positive impact on the lives of generations to come would be legendary. I grew up on Pixar. I seen ToyStory as the first computer animated film in theaters when I was 3 or 4 years old. I love writing, I have a massive passion for writing and story telling, building characters, back stories, and producing stories that push people to be inspired…. Like, today… I picked up this broken dancing T Rex Christmas toy and immediately thought of ToyStory 5…. I thought… What a typical thing you would see…. A toy that can’t find a home because it can’t dance anymore. It looked like Rexy with a Christmas hat. And then my mind started molding theories as to how I would incorporate this misfit toy into the ToyStory franchise. But what about other ideas??? What about an animation about a parent struggling to understand what it’s like to be a kid again… Make it inspired by The Kid with Bruce Willis… Center it around a parent child relationship like Finding Nemo… Or inside out…. And make it about a parent that struggles to understand how a kid perceives adults, and how adults perceive kids… Make it like… “Do you remember what it was like to be a kid??? Do you remember what kind of parent you wanted to be when you grew up??? Do you understand kids???” And inspirations could be endless… Like big daddy with Adam Sandler… The Kid with Willis…. Finding Nemo…. The story would be about generational trauma in dysfunctional households…. How one family broke the cycle… Because an animation like that would speak volumes… You take a broken family that goes through some emotional and psychological growth… And at the end… It would be allot like leave it to beaver where his Dad realized he was making all the same mistakes his dad made with beaver…. That he promised he never would… And to be honest…. This could make great for an inside out sequel… Or it can be an all out original…. The idea can even take form from inspirations like despicable me… The idea of a dysfunctional family, in a long sad history of dysfunctional families, finally learn what it takes to honor and respect one another and break the cycle… And as you can see…. My minds already snowball effecting on the idea and pulling inspirations from every family film I’ve ever seen…. Next thing I’d do is come up with a story board, several rough drafts,,, a few alternate cuts…. Play around with different characters, themes, hooks, I may not be college educated… But if there’s one thing I know I am great at…. Is telling a story. That has always been one of my greatest talents next to music and music production in my own home studio. I would be like a kid in a candy store if I was working for Pixar…. I just have a hard time seeing it… Wouldn’t I need a 4 year college degree??? A masters in writing and possibly psychology??? It would even help to have a degree in behavioral health for the sake of character…. George Lucas has an extensive background in psychology and behavioral understanding. Story telling comes with a ton of education I only have from library books and TH-cam videos…. The kind of professional story telling that goes into multi million dollar productions… I would burst into tears of joy if I was apart of Pixar animations. To be a writer and story teller is like… The next best thing to being a musician… And don’t even get me started on meeting voice actors and producing dialogue and working with some of the top names in the industry…. You would have to be one fortunate person to be THAT LUCKY…. I’m just a starving artist on the side of the road… But those guys… Those guys are the real professionals… One giant think tank of WOW!!!! I mean… the back story on Andy’s Dad… The producers of films like A Bugs Life…. This is the sort of thing that I probably will never have the fortune or money to be able to achieve…. Education for that is expensive… I imagine only the best of the best… I don’t even know where to start or how much money I’m gonna need to start taking steps in a career like that. I’ll think about it… But, it’s intimidating to pursue something that big…. I don’t know if I’m worthy of being apart of such a great production company. Pixar has comforted me through some dark times in life. Pixar films have helped people heal through trauma… Their stories teach very important life lessons. It would be beyond an honor to be apart of that…. Yet, I’m just a poor person… Man… if only I had the money for an education to back that up… That would be my direction… If only, if only… *sigh*
