I have NEVER thought of your style as boring. When I first came across your channel the first thing that caught my attention was how you made simple, basic items look so stylish. There is something so intriguing about that!
Loved the comment about over-thrifting! That was something I was super conscious of in 2024! What helped me was making a list on my phone of things to look for at the thrift, and when selecting things, I always try to think of three things I can wear with it, the fabric, and if it’s maintenance fits with my life style. Like if it’s dry clean only I will probably pass as there’s no dry cleaner where I live and I would want to wear it often, things like that :)
your style and fashion videos actually really inspired me haha they feel very down to earth and realistic for normal people but effective and cute as well! ❤
i feel like you could look into those colour analyses! idk how true they are (tbh i dont think theyre 100% legit) but! it could be a fun video or something u look into if you want to see what colours might 'suit' your skin tone
that’s so funny you bring up the tall chestnut Uggs! I just grabbed mine from my childhood home over Christmas and have been wearing them in nyc! Fav way to style them are under wide leg/straight leg jeans or have sweats tucked into them
I also want to start using liner in my waterline this year! I purchased some of the Sephora brand eyeshadow sticks (lots of colors, pretty affordable and are on sale frequently) and they last super well on me when I dry the waterline/tight line with a cotton bud before application! Happy new year pookie
I normally don’t leave comments, but I had to this time. Phoebe, you continue to outdo yourself with these incredibly original videos. There’s something truly special about your content-it’s so refreshing in the overpopulated TH-cam space. Each video feels so carefully thought-out, and I can only imagine the tremendous effort you put into them every single time! One thing I want to highlight is your inclusion of images featuring people of different body sizes and ethnicities-it’s such an important touch because representation matters. This makes me love your content even more. Keep up the excellent work! I’m already looking forward to your next video 💖💖💖
Just to echo everyone else, I never thought of your style as boring! I read it more as simple in the way a lot of designers dress simply. Like, this is a creator who’s thinking a lot and moves very intentionally, certainly not “boring”.
OMG your video just showed up in my recommended and your face seemed so familiar to me and I asked myself if you were the "pixie cut girl" because that's the first video I watched of you months ago and inspired me to get a pixie myself! Oh boy it is a roller coaster of emotions sometimes but the times I feel bad about it I remember you saying you hated how you looked with it, while all the time I was thinking that you looked drop dead gorgeous absolutely stunning in the pictures you showed and I try to think that we are way too hard on ourselves. I will subscribe now :) so happy I found my way back to your channel!
i think perms becoming popular would be fun to see. as a person w curly hair, i would love to see more ppl proudly having ringlets and big fun curls as opposed to sleek VS model blowouts
As a curly girl, perms are so bad for your hair unfortunately! so many fellow curly girls have destroyed their hair with relaxers and straight hair girlies should avoid doing the same with perms. Obviously live your life, just be aware of the bad effects on your hair and scalp:)
Calling you boring is like calling Jil Sander or Caroline Bessette-Kennedy boring. That’s just … stupid Also thrifting and online thrifting is my problem. Online thriving is even worse because things don’t fit the way I expect them to. I’m waiting for a Prada silk shirt which I got from Depop for $80 but overall that’s just wrong Thank you for another interesting video.
I think being conservative with your money and buying decisions is a veeeery good achievement. Only try new things if you are really into it not because you think you need to be more risky ❤
I can't predict any new trend! Years ago my parents came to visit me and my mom was wearing crocs (late 2000s) and I just gasp seeing her wearing those things! Like what the hell was she wearing, those ugly shoes! and she told me that in our home town everyone was wearing them and I told her for gardening sure, but not walking in the city, taking the subway, and 3 weeks later my mom was right, every one started wearing crocs (the most ugly shoes on earth after UGGs lol sorry I just find those shoes sooooo ugly) anyway so here you go ..... I just know one day I would be so ''out'' that I would be ''in'' can't wait!
New trend: we don’t comment or say “new trend: do whatever you want” because it’s unhelpful annoying and self righteous. Like, you shouldn’t have to put a disclaimer on a video about trends that people who don’t like trends don’t have to do what you say. Sorry for the rant, it’s just so annoying to me that people feel like unless you specifically say so, they are somehow being forced to do something and they should yell about it

I resonate with overconsumption at the thrift! Looking forward to intentional thrift purchases for 2025

Also the purple is so real - I’ve been LOVING it lately, it’s such a beautiful rich color that feels very slept on at the moment

I want to express myself in the way that i like for so long, and I'm just scarred that people might think it's too much or weird😢

Not the teal/coral combo making a comeback.
